I keep seeing these posts comparing Jeff Bezos to Lex Luthor and like, rude?! Lex Luthor would have at least made a cure and/or a vaccine to coronavirus - yes, it might be at an extortionate price, or part of a publicity campaign or just because Superman dared him to, but he would have done it. Where's Jeff's contribution?? And, at least in some worlds, Lex is a decent boss with good working rights for Lexcorp employees - he at least gives them toilet breaks! Rocket into space? Bitch, Lex has been fighting aliens for 80 years! He's been to other planets and named them after himself!

Ever since Lex was shifted from mad scientist to evil corporate man, he's taken traits from the famous evil rich person of that decade, but we need to acknowledge that our real life billionaires have now exceeded fiction; they are now far more mediocre than Lex Luthor and far more dangerous and less ethical, with far less public scrutiny.

And that's terrifying.
