#melonposting #augh it’s so annoying!!! like i can’t do everything i think of #grt3d is reassuring in that now i know it’s possible for me to fully execute a story #but that still doesn’t help the fact that there are so many to execute :’D #like there’s the mothmen obviously. that one’s been simmering for a while #then there’s goody gardens if i ever decide to really ‘make’ anything with it (as it is it’s just a cast of characters to think about) #there’s the botanica story too (which still needs an official name) #and there’s my ii3 rewrite/au #oh not to mention whatever pokemon x&y rewrite i was planning way back when. don’t know if i really care about that now #i haven’t done much with arthropocalypse (i don’t even think i’ve posted about it here at all) but that has potential #and of course there are the middle school era stories like camp mercury and dark divinity which i don’t think i care to do anything with #(they’re just funny to look back at) #there’s my pokemon-inspired story/game/something revolving entirely around species of butterflies and moths #and there’s the very recent idea of a mascot horror type thing involving a museum and the exhibits coming alive and trying to kill you #(like night in the museum crossed with fnaf or something) #and a sitcom-type thing involving the dolls belonging to the children in a large family and the drama they get into #oh and wasn’t there some story i had about a rich guy living in a haunted mansion and supernatural creatures working there? #like he has a vampire butler and mothman gardener or something like that? #oh and my weird story with holmes-and-watson-inspired mad scientist supervillains #and what’s basically a high school au of sherlock holmes which was cute #hm there’s my dandelion-themed children’s book #and probably a handful of object show ideas as well #goodness gracious i am insane

hello fellow nickel hater btw bot for the character bingo

i love bot!! what a sweetie!!! i, like many, have gripes about testy and fan having made them - which, we can all admit, is rather silly - but in concept bot is so fascinating!!!!! i think the fandom has lots of good ideas for bot's origin... i should probably come up with one myself (which would probably in some way coincide with my idea of a meeple guy other than mephone hosting ii3). but yeah bot is nice. very cute :)

#melonposting #ask #ask game #soapfriendo #idk exactly where my little rewrite would take this #but we know mephone himself has had issues with people he trusted turning out to be robots #so as it is i find it kind of ridiculous that this whole bot situation could even happen with mephone as the host. why hasn't he gone insan #so yeah we have our new meeple guy as host! #and hm maybe this meeple guy left cobs and was inspired by mephone to make their own show #maybe they watched ii themselves? haha #and then maybe bow was their favorite character. so they themselves made a robotic version of her to compete in their challenge #and then meeple guy would be trying to hide that from them... like no you're totally bow!!!!!! what are you talking about!!!!!!!!! #i think that could be cool :) but that's just an on-the-fly idea of course #(combine this with the fans vs flops au and ii3 would be golden!!)

okay so i was thinking about my theoretical ii3 rewrite/au as well as @/theboxfort’s fans vs flops au… and decided to weave them together, maybe!! there are some ideas below, if anyone is interested, including some concept doodles!! :D

so i’ve already proposed that my version of ii3 would have a different meeple product hosting the show, not mephone4; i’d imagine this meeple guy found mephone’s wacky game show really really cool and wanted to make their own! perhaps they’re also a cobs runaway, inspired by him…

so, well, y’know how the official list of character’s popularity? imagine this guy read it upside down, or wrong in some other way - and now the least popular characters are there with the newbies. whoops! among them is a robotic version of dough, which this meeple guy made/generated themselves.

this would solve a few problems - firstly, there would be absolutely no timeline conflict with ii2. not only would mephone not be hosting this show while another show of his is going on, no characters directly involved with ii2’s final four would be on the show muddying the timeline waters (paintbrush’s mentions of returning to lightbulb, for instance, are confusing. is lightbulb still competing?). in addition, these unpopular characters would get more of a spotlight, which they deserve (especially bomb)!

anyway, these initial changes, in my opinion, already fix a lot; going forward i’ll arrange the characters in this rewrite/au into teams and, going from episode to episode, challenge to challenge, see what i’d do with them in the given situations (if they themselves are able to be worked with) and try to make things better.

below are some concept doodles! i wanted the host to be a modern product, so i made them an apple watch!! they are silly and funny. also i thought it would be cool if robo-dough could "bake" to become a cookie - more specifically the immunity cookie!! but these are just ideas :)
