currently re-writing abel’s bio to reflect him being a hybrid now blame theo so here’s a few basics about my boi (and by that i mean a shorter bio bc i’m incapable of writing a short bio)

damon’s kid. his mother was a faerie and she left mystic falls shortly after finding out she was pregnant with abel. she married her bestie/bodyguard and they decided to just pretend the kid was his.

abel grew up in both the human world and faerie courts. really lived his best life for a few years there. low key/high key fell in love with his childhood bestie (also a faerie, or possible hybrid? who knows, certainly not me) but she was betrothed to someone else. *cue ivy by taylor swift* they decided to run away together and marry in secret at seventeen. it was around this time too that abel found out from his parents that the man he knew as his father wasn’t his biological father, but that a man named damon salvatore was, orla was convinced damon was dead though, so any hope of meeting his father disappeared just as quickly as his entire perception of world shattered around him.

they lived happily in the human world for a few years and even had a child together, but that all went down the drain in 1886 when abel met and befriended a faerie/vampire hybrid. abel was always impulsive, he liked to have a good time and didn’t think through the consequences of his actions. so when this new friend mentioned the newfound strengths they had as a hybrid, how could abel resist?

long story short abel ended up becoming a hybrid. his wife, pregnant with their second child at this point, was fed up with abel’s impulsiveness, and incredibly angry that he would do something as stupid as becoming a vampire just because he thought it would make him more powerful or stronger. she left him and returned to the faerie courts, telling him he could either return with her to their families or never see their kids again. abel did follow her, but because he was now a hybrid, abel was banished.

abel spent the next few years on a bit of a ripper bender, he spent a few years in london before moving on to a new city in 1889. he could never truly settle down, but the one constant in his life was the bloodthirst. abel enjoyed killing, something that would have terrified him had he had his humanity on.  abel spent the better part of the next century turning his humanity on and back off again, never staying in one place too long, growing bored quickly. everywhere he went the blood trail followed, but with decades of experience under his belt abel got better at covering his tracks.

with his humanity being turned off pretty consistently abel was able to push back the regret he felt over losing his family, of not being able to see his children grow up and losing the love of his life.

it was only recently, haven restored his humanity, yet again, that abel’s curiosity about his biological father became unignorable. he did his research and found out that orla had lied about damon being dead, something he had always thought to be the case, but never cared enough about to look into. all of his research led him back to where it all began 164 years ago, mystic falls, virginia.

the only child of evangeline pruitt née stirling and damon salvatore abner pruitt, abel was born in boston after his mother travelled north with her new husband, after her brief affair with damon, so abner could pursue a medical degree at harvard. they both came from wealthy virginia families and despite being hurt by the affair, abner still agreed to marry evangeline and raise the child she found herself pregnant with as his own. abel had a very privileged upbringing, he was taught at all of the best schools and was set to follow his father into the medical field. abner had great expectations for his son, ones that abel could never quite live up to. the first major loss in abel’s life happened when he was fifteen. his mother passed away after a prolonged illness. his mother was the glue that held together the tentative relationship between abel and his father and with her gone all the two men could do was fight.

was very close with freya growing up and boy was he traumatized when dahlia took her, causing him to cling to his mother.

finn never really got to connect with his younger siblings, fearing he’d lose them too.

eventually, finn met his lovers. a married couple from the village.

he was very secretive, never telling anyone where he was going, but truthfully he figured no one would really notice him gone, but his mother. he snuck out of the house most non full moon nights to go be with his bf and gf.

finn told no one about being in love, about the days and nights spent with his partners. he especially told no one when the three found out there was a baby on the way. there was no way to know which of the two men were the father but finn was terrified that dahlia would come to take the baby just like she had taken freya. his fear only grew with each subsequent child his gf had.

when henrik died, finn was pretty much numb. everything after that day happened so fast that he could barely process it. he had barely any time to mourn his youngest sibling before his parents had decided to turn him and the rest of his siblings into vampires and finn was being killed for the first time.

finn hated being a vampire, absolutely despised it, but being the momma’s boy that he was he also figured out a bunch of the rules of the game before his siblings did. finn knew his blood could heal humanS and that if they died after consuming it they too would turn, and so he extended that option to his partners so they could spend eternity together

before finn could help them through their transition he and his siblings were on the run from mikael, leaving him to wonder if they had even gone through with turning or if he had been right about being able to turn people to begin with. he was proven right a few years later when his siblings turned aurora, tristan and lucien.

finn eventually met sage. she was the first person since his bf and gf that he was able to be open with. he told her nearly everything and they formed a genuine connection. the kind that would be once in a lifetime had finn not been immortal. the two remained together for about 100 years before attending a party in italy with his siblings where the mikaelson’s would be daggered and finn left in a box for 900 years.

finn never told anyone about his family. he took that secret to the grave with him, knowing the consequences of anyone finding out he had had children before turning. the only respite to vampirism is that it meant none of his siblings could reproduce and drag dahlia back into their lives and they wouldn’t live with the same fear that he did.

finn’s consciousness slowly returned, while his body remained dead leaving him to suffer in his coffin while the world moved forward. the only thing that got finn through his near millenia in a coffin was the hope that his partners, their children and sage could be out in the world living their lives, happy.

 after being undaggered and reuniting with sage, finn gets killed by matt donovan of all people. it was after his death that everyone realized that every vampire in his bloodline also died with him.

finn is resurrected after the birth of his niece hope and seeks revenge on his siblings and rid the world of vampires with esther.

finn is eventually killed a third time. rip bestie. (i’m leaving tht in)
