As we continue the Month of May...... Masayo Takahashi is a female Japanese physician, who also worked as a project research leader at the Riken Center for Developmental Biology in Kobe in 2016. She, along with a partner, worked with induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and they succeeded in turning iPSCs into retinal cells for the first time in the world in 2017. Using those cells, Takahashi performed the first iPSC human transplant. We all have a responsibility to be careful with the type of speech we use. Labeling can also be used to categorize, generalize, and marginalize a large group of people. Let's keep in mind some of the many Asiatic we seem to forget in America...
