writing prompt - a borrower’s perspective during, and in the aftermath, of a natural disaster (and I mean a human scale natural disaster), wether or not they have interacted with the human of the house before the events of this story is up to you.
Shelter
—————
Niki slung a bag over her shoulder. It was just an overnight bag, containing a change of clothes and some toiletries. All of the delicate stuff, things they couldn't afford to lose in the storm, were already packed into the car.
She checked the time again. Two hours before the hurricane hit, before they needed to be out of the area. They should have left earlier, but Niki couldn't leave without doing one last thing.
Ranboo was already in the car. Even from here, he looked damp and slightly miserable from the drizzle that had started. Her brother had never been fond of the rain.
Niki was terrified to lose the bakery; it was their whole lives. But she was even more scared of losing her little brother. She wanted to leave an hour ago; but she couldn't in good conscience evacuate knowing about the other inhabitant in their home.
"Jack," she called one last time, a hint of desperation seeping into her voice. "Please, it's an emergency."
Jack was a borrower, a tiny man that lived in their walls. They'd discovered him several months ago, but hadn't actually met until he was trapped on a counter a few weeks ago. He'd been nervous, almost skittish around Niki and Ranboo. He'd vanished back into the walls as soon as he could, and they only knew he was still there because of the security cameras.
Niki hadn't tried to contact him yet, knowing the borrower was afraid of them. But now, she had no choice. She had no clue if Jack even knew what a hurricane was, let alone be able to survive one. She had to try to convince him to evacuate with them.
Finally, just as Niki was giving up hope, she heard the clink of salt shaker falling over. She whirled around, quickly spotting the borrower as light reflected off his one metal arm. He looked wary, and like he might bolt at any moment, but he was here.
***
Jack stared up at the human, fighting the urge to scurry back into the walls. She moved forward slightly, and he instinctively took a step back.
Niki seemed like a very nice person, and she'd helped him before. That didn't mean he should lower his guard. She was still a human, and could hurt him so easily… he took a deep breath.
"What do you want?" He asked with a confidence he didn't feel. He crossed his arms, trying to steady the slight tremble in the one that was still flesh and blood.
He almost hadn't come. According to borrower rules, he shouldn't have. The emergency could be a trick, something to lure him out. Jack couldn't bring himself to believe that, though, so here he was.
"There's a hurricane warning- we've been told to evacuate," Niki said. Jack didn't know what a hurricane was, but his heart dropped. Anything that had humans evacuating was bad news for a borrower.
"I couldn't just leave you behind," Niki said.
And suddenly, Jack realized what she was implying. His pulse sped up, and he took another step back. She wanted to take him with her. To take him away from his- and her- home.
Not only would that mean leaving, possibly forever. It would mean letting her carry him, transport him. He would have to give her full control, and he'd have to trust she wouldn't abuse that control to hurt him.
"What- what does a hurricane do, exactly?" he asked weakly. Maybe he could just stay in the walls and he'd be safe. Maybe he didn't have to evacuate.
"It's a storm, a really bad one," Niki said, her eyes darting towards the clock. Oh, hell, were they on a time limit? His stomach twisted.
"How bad?" He hedged.
"There can be flooding, and strong winds. In the worst cases the storm can take a house down."
Jack's breaths came shallow and quick. His vision blurred as his mind filled with vivid images. His home inside the walls crumbling beneath his feet, the walls of the house torn down by a raging storm, water flooding every corner of the house until he couldn't breathe-
"...breathe, Jack. You need to breathe." Niki's calm voice cut through his panic and he blinked.
She was a lot closer now, leaning towards him. He itched to take another step back, but her brow was furrowed with concern and she hadn't grabbed at him.
He followed her instructions, taking deep breaths to calm himself. After several rounds of counting his breath, he was able to think more clearly. The fear was still there, but survival came first.
"Do- do I have time to pack?" He asked.
Her face pinched, and her eyes darted to the clock. There was a heavy pause before she answered.
"Please be quick," she said.
Jack was pretty sure that meant 'there really isn't time.' He gulped. Was there anything that he truly couldn't live without? Anything worth risking his life? He didn't think so.
"I- nevermind," he said, taking a deep breath. "I'm ready."
Niki looked conflicted for a moment before she nodded. Then she moved, her hand moving towards him.
Jack was unable to hold back his flinch. He expected her to grab him, to pluck him off the counter like he was nothing. Instead, she set her hand on the counter, letting it rest palm up. It was up to him to climb on.
He took a shaky breath trying to steel himself. He stepped forward on trembling legs, his heart feeling like it might beat out of his chest. It didn't matter how nice Niki seemed; she could hurt him so easily, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
Jack squeezed his eyes shut and pulled out his last shreds of courage. He leaped onto her hand, desperately hoping that Niki could be trusted.
***
Ranboo sat in the passenger seat, his knee bouncing in place. He looked out the window, his heart fluttering nervously at the sight of the black clouds smothering the sky.
His hand drifted towards his mouth, and he anxiously chewed on his nails. They should have left nearly ten minutes ago, and Niki was still inside.
He wasn't sure what terrified him more- the idea of being too late to evacuate, or the idea of Jack being caught in the storm.
Before he could work himself into a panic, he heard the bakery door opening. His head shot towards the sound, and he wilted in relief.
Niki hurried out, her hands clutched carefully to her chest. She'd managed to get Jack out, thank goodness.
Realizing her hands were full, Ranboo leaned over and opened the driver's side. She slid in, her hair and sweater damp from the rain.
Ranboo's eyes locked onto the borrower that was clutched in her hands. He felt a lump forming in his throat at the sight.
Jack was shaking like crazy, his eyes squeezed tightly shut. He didn't look like he'd gotten wet- probably a good thing considering one of his arms was robotic. But he looked terrified, as tense as a coiled spring.
"Jack, I need to drive now," Niki said softly, looking down at the small man with concern. "I'm going to hand you to Ranboo. Is that ok?"
Ranboo's eyes went wide with panic. Oh god, oh god, he had to hold Jack, didn't he?
Jack didn't open his eyes, but he nodded jerkily. Niki looked up, meeting Ranboo's eyes.
His heart was pounding, but he held out his hands anyways. Niki moved quickly but carefully, tilting her hands so Jack slid off. Ranboo's heart skipped a beat at the feeling of an entire person sitting in his hands.
His hands were trembling slightly. He wondered if Jack could feel it? He realized that he could feel the tiny man's feather-light pulse, as quick as a rabbit's, and his far-too-fast breathing.
He brought his hands to his chest as slowly as he could, terrified he'd somehow hurt Jack.
The car sprung to life, and he jumped, his hands instinctively curling a little tighter around the borrower. He felt Jack's flinch, and he felt a curl of guilt in his gut.
"Sorry," he whispered. "Did I hurt you?"
"N-no," the borrower answered. Oh thank goodness.
"Get comfortable if you can; we've got a bit of a drive ahead of us," Niki said. They were hotels and shelters only a short drive away, but they were heading a little farther out. Niki had a friend who'd offered them a place to stay until the storms had passed, longer if they needed.
"We'll be safe soon," Ranboo said quietly, wishing he could do something to comfort the frightened borrower in his hands. "I promise."

Heyyyooo! Hope all is well!
Your Drider au, with Giant spider Will is really cool! The unintentional fearplay to keep the tiny one safe is literally a fav trope of mine, even better with the language barrier,
But how does Wilbir eventually learn the language? And whaf is Tommy's reaction? He's had so much fear because of the circumstances, i can imagine him lashing out😬😢
But surely after that do they start to bond for real??? Ohh maybe another time for noms after able to speak to each other when a naga tried to get Tommy! But now there is more trust🙃
Keep up the great work, you au s are so creative!!
Hi! :D I'm about to be on break, so I'm doing better than I have for a while!
Thank you!! It's one of my favorites too, which is why you see me using it so much ^^
Well, Wilbur is a bit of a collector. Specifically, he collects human stuff. 'artifacts' he calls them, although it's more often junk than not. Included in these artifacts are books! He's actually been teaching himself to read for several years now, so he has at least a little head start in learning the language. However, being able to recognize what a written word means in a book and being able to recognize that same word when it's spoken aloud are two entirely different things. It's a huge struggle to learn enough to communicate, but at least he wasn't working from nothing.
As for Tommy, by the time he and Wilbur are able to communicate, he has started to tentatively trust the drider. Being able to communicate makes that trust bloom much, much quicker. And they do start to bond!
Unfortunately for Tommy... the first time he was nommed wasn't a one off thing. The first time was the only time he was that scared, and he was a bit more willing to be nommed since he knew it was safe in the future, but Wilbur started sleeping with Tommy nommed to keep him from being attacked again. He was just too paranoid that something would happen. By the time Tommy and Wilbur are talking, Tommy is pretty much used to noms.
Thank you!! :D I'm glad you like this au. It was fun to talk about it some!

Could you wright a Foolish Gamers safe vore story?
And if you need ideas I could tell you in another box :D
love,
ChiChi
I don't write Foolish much, but this prompt gave me an idea for a very cute story! ^^ Here's a little oneshot of some fluffy family noms <3
~~~~~
NSFW do NOT interact
CW: safe, platonic vore
~~~~~
By Your Side
Foolish woke to the tickle of tiny hands and feet against his neck. He was still half asleep, but he was careful not to knock over whoever was climbing on him.
He cupped a hand around them, feeling them settle against his fingers, and his eyes fluttered open.
His little brother Dream sat curled up in his hand, his eyes rimmed slightly with red. Foolish woke up quickly at the sight, bringing Dream to his chest and sitting up.
"Dream? What's wrong, buddy?" He asked the teenager.
Dream relaxed against his chest, sniffling slightly.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you. I'm just… not ready to go back to school," the fifteen year old said softly.
Foolish gently rubbed his finger against Dream's back, careful to keep his sharp talons from scratching the teen.
"Mr. Hibbins being an ass again?" He murmured. He felt Dream nodding against his chest.
"I just wish I could stay here. Wish you could eat me again," Dream said quietly.
While that would be a weird thing to say for most people, their family had always been a little different. Foolish was a Totem, a creature with a unique biology that allowed him to shift sizes, and safely swallow people. Though strange, it had become a great source of comfort to his family.
"I would if I could, but you've already got so many absences," Foolish said sadly.
Dream nodded again. Foolish kept rubbing his back, glancing at the clock. There was only a few minutes before Dream would have to catch the bus, but judging by the little trembles he could feel, his little brother wasn't ready to leave.
"Here, I've got an idea," Foolish said, pulling Dream away from his shirt. Dream looked up to him curiously.
It was a lot rarer for them to do, but Foolish's Totem status meant it was also safe for him to be swallowed.
Foolish set Dream down on his bed, then closed his eyes. His skin tingled as he called on the magic that allowed him to shift sizes.
It was a little disorienting going directly from his largest form to his smallest form, but he was made to change sizes. He shrank down, quickly growing accustomed to his new size.
He opened his eyes to find his little brother staring down at him with wide eyes. He smiled a little; Dream was always so enchanted by his smaller form.
His brother held out a hand, and Foolish climbed on. Dream lifted him up, being just as careful as Foolish was with him. It didn't matter that the totem was far studier and would be fine even if dropped, Dream treated him as if he were as precious and fragile as glass.
"Foolish?" Dream said quietly, not quite understanding yet. Foolish patted his thumb gently.
"How about you swallow me, and I can stay with you while you go to school. I'll be right there if you need me," he offered.
Dream broke into a relieved smile.
"You're the best," he said before opening his mouth.
He held his hands in front of his mouth, and Foolish carefully climbed over. Dream closed his lips behind him, sealing the totem in darkness. Foolish's eyes adjusted a second later, and he scooted towards the back of Dream's mouth.
"Whenever you're ready, Dream," he called. Dream hummed lightly, the sound much louder than usual.
His little brother held him in his mouth for a bit, probably getting used to the feeling. It felt natural for Foolish, but he knew swallowing someone was a little odd for the rest of his family.
Foolish relaxed against the tongue, his higher body temperature making Dream's mouth feel comfortably cool. Dream gently pressed him against the roof of his mouth.
He felt his little brother tilting his head back slightly, preparing to swallow. Foolish relaxed, and Dream gulped, sending him down towards his stomach.
It was a bit of a tight squeeze down the esophagus, but not uncomfortably so. Dream and Puffy always compared it to an intense hug, and Foolish agreed. The squeeze as he traveled towards the stomach lasted for a couple of seconds, and then he dropped into a more open area.
Foolish allowed himself to grow slightly, no longer needing to be small enough for Dream to swallow him. He made sure not to grow too big and cause his little bro a stomach ache.
He leaned back against the walls of the stomach, and he heard a sigh of contentment from Dream. He felt a press from outside, and imagined his brother was hugging his middle.
"Warm," Dream muttered, and Foolish smiled fondly.
The totem closed his eyes, half drifting off to sleep as Dream rushed to finish getting ready for school. His brother gave a rushed explanation to their mom before darting out to catch the bus.
Foolish occasionally felt the press of Dream's hand against the stomach, and he pressed back. He was relieved to hear Dream chatting with his friends, the tension all but gone from his voice.
He dozed, happy in the knowledge that he'd be right there if his brother needed him.

👀👀👀 well you know my bench trio infested brain has to know,,,, how did tommy, tubbo, and ranboo meet? — 🎲
WELL :D
I said that Tubbo and Ranboo don't really remember, but it actually wasn't that long ago, about six years. They don't remember because they were too young (11), but Tommy was also 11 at the time and remembers it perfectly.
He'd been sent to yet another stupid summer camp. This one was about nature and exploring the outdoors which he guessed was kind of cool. Better than the ones where all the kids were shoved inside all day.
The camp leaders weren't... the most attentive. Tommy took advantage of that to explore the little chunk of woods on his own. They usually had to stick to the path, but Tommy went wherever he wanted.
He was watching a squirrel when something else caught his attention. It looked like there was a bat wing sticking out of a hole in the ground. He crouched down to investigate and found two tiny half-bat half-human looking creatures.
He stuck his hand in to poke at them and jumped when they both latched onto his hand and bit down. Like tiny... vampires.
Once he realized what they were, Tommy probably should have felt a bit wary. But he was curious, and a little lonely, and the tiny bites had barely hurt.
Besides, when he tried to pull his hand away, they squeaked like baby birds or something. He couldn't just leave them! They were hungry!
For Ranboo and Tubbo's part, even if they had been old enough to remember, they were so hungry and sunk into their instincts that they didn't even realize they weren't in their nest anymore until Tommy had already brought them home. It had already been a week since they'd seen their sire, so after a short adjustment period they were happy with their new home.

I also had a slightly scary thought
Giant or Mini Giant Mikey going Dr Delicate Touch
Ooooooooooooo that's a fun thought! That can Very easily turn to angst!
Maybe he's so used to being the Little Brother, underestimated, his brothers could never be scared of him, that he uses Dr. Delicate Touch while giant without thinking. And to his shock, his brothers freeze. He knows Dr. Delicate Touch is supposed to be his intimidating persona but... It's not supposed to scare his brothers.

G/t ROTTMNT but I don't know how
Right? It's surprisingly difficult to come up with g/t scenarios for this fandom
I've actually got a couple ideas, but I'm focused more on my other aus rn lol.
The main one is one I'm calling borrower Casey au for now, and it's exactly what it sounds like. But which Casey you may ask? Both of them. :) I'll probably make a full post for this au eventually haha
There's a few other ideas I've had but they're pretty much just "rise but the turtles are small" or "rise but x character is shrunk" or smth

have you created any new aus lately that you havent gotten the chance to share? well nows ur chance bestie
oooh actually, I have!
I haven't talked about them yet bc I'm kind of new to the fandom, but I have some rottmnt aus I've been thinking about!
First is the one story/series I've actually posted so far. "soccer balls and sewer boys" is the title of the first one, but I've been working on a sequel! the series is called the family we choose, and if I can manage it, I'm going to make it a full April-centric au!
Next is a reincarnation au! I don't have a title for it yet, but it's going to follow the turtles- or rather humans since that's what they were reborn as- as they slowly regain memories of their past! And a fun little twist: none of them know each other in this life, so they also have to find each other again!
Finally, I have one that I'm really excited for: a raised wild au! ...Sort of. See, for this au, Splinter escaped before he was mutated, but he wasn't able to rescue the turtles. After Draxum's lab was destroyed the turtles had to fend for themselves. They ended up on a beach somewhere in NY, and lived on their own. UNTIL! When she was about six years old, April O'Neil ran away. She ended up on a beach, and encountered the turtles. She gave up half of her sandwich, and somehow became part of the bale! So this au, which I'm calling bale is thicker than blood at the moment, is a raised wild au featuring April!
There's a few more, but these are the biggest ones right now! Thank you for the ask! :D
I always love talking about my aus. If you have any more questions about these, don't be shy and send in an ask!

do you have any good rottmnt fic recs? — 🎲
Hi Dice!!! You bet I do! :D
-----
This one is one of my favorites! It's Donnie-centric, and kind of an existential horror type story, but there's a happy ending!
Next is a short Leo centric one (ft. Future Leo).
Speaking of Future Leo, here's some good f!Leo ones off the top of my head:
Mutant Ninja Midlife Crisis
odd man out
Trial and Error
we'll meet again soon
There are definitely more but those are the first fics I thought of. (Look at the peepaw multiverse tag if you rly like these guys lol)
Next:
Road trip fic! Very cute
A Casey Jr. centric fic!
And then some crossovers:
(rise x 2012)
(rise x atla)
Two Souls (rise x 2012)
---
I've also got a few fics that I've written, but I won't link them here lol.
If anyone else knows some good rottmnt fics, feel free to add on! :D

can't stop thinking about how borrowers being real in the starstruck au would change so much of how the boys and Wilbur view the world. 1) the boys wouldn't feel so alone in a world full of giants 2) wilbur would feel glad but also mortified at the though of the lab finding out about borrowers 3) the borrower will be very confused/horrified about these 3 teenagers living with a human + know nothing about their "own" culture
:D that is a FANTASTIC idea... Let's explore this, shall we? (I don't think borrowers are canon in this au, but if they were.... 👀)
The first time they meet a borrower, it's shocking. Almost as shocking as seeing Wilbur for the first time... Though not much can top that. The boys have gotten so used to everything around them being the wrong size, except for each other. They might think for a second that they're going crazy... And then when they realize that there really is another person, other people their size, all three of them get very excited.
Wilbur is relieved. Benchtrio's social life since leaving the simulation has been... not good. They have each other of course, and him, but that's it. Phil, Techno, Niki, Eret... the boys are still too wary to really form connections with any of them. Hell, Tubbo won't even leave his room when there's visitors most times. Borrowers mean that there's someone new for the three to talk to! And then... Wilbur starts to think. Where did these people come from? Have they always been tiny? Are borrowers the result of some experiment? What would the lab do if it got it's hands on these tiny people? Were Tommy Tubbo and Ranboo borrowers caught and put into the simulation? ......There's a lot to think about.
These poor borrowers are so confused. It's already rare for borrowers to find others like them. And now they come across the oddest group of kids they've ever seen. They don't talk like borrowers, they don't act like borrowers... They don't even look like borrowers, not completely. The first few conversations between benchtrio and a group of borrowers were probably very confusing. Benchtrio would have no idea what borrowers were, and the borrowers would have no idea they thought of themselves as humans. Once everything was cleared up, the borrowers would likely be very concerned, especially about Wilbur. They probably wouldn't want to get anywhere near him, but they wouldn't want to just abandon these three kids that clearly needed to be taught how to borrow.
Basically, it's a really fun idea! :D I don't think I want to add borrowers into the au at the moment because I don't know who I would even make borrowers. (maybe dream team? But I don't write them much.) The main characters I write with already have roles, so for now I'll keep the worldbuilding as is XD
Thank you for the fun ask!

oooooo science-y au >:)
idk if this is where you wanna go with this, or if you’re up for suggestions, but hear me out:
crime duo for the first swap plot line (im partial to borrower Tommy and big scientist Wil having to swap but that’s just me hsksksjsh)
maybe emerald duo for the second? I don’t have as clear an idea for this one lmao
and beeduo for the third caught plot line (mainly cause both Ranboo or Tubbo could work as either the scientist or the scared borrower)
again, feel free to ignore this if it goes against what you already had, but i saw this au and my brain started spinning and i had to say something
Ok ok SO!!!
I've been✨thinking.✨
On the one hand, I really like the idea of crimeboys for the swap storyline. On the OTHER hand, I've also been thinking about Phil and Wilbur swapping. So. I'm going to do both.
Phil and Tommy are both borrowers in Wilbur's house. Phil and Wilbur get swapped. Now we have a very confused Phil trying to navigate the human world while also taking care of his son- and he guesses the now tiny human that got them all into this mess. Wilbur is Extremely Confused and not a little bit scared. He has no clue what he's doing and he's also a bit helpless now. Some stranger has basically taken his place and is his only hope for getting back to normal. Tommy is kinda pissed. He's keeping Wilbur out of trouble and helping him, but very begrudgingly.
Now where does that leave the other three? I'm... Not sure yet. I could put all three of them on one of the other storylines, I could throw Niki or anyone really into the mix. I could do a lot of things.

I was reading back through the Starstruck au and stumbled upon the Itsy Bitsy Drider au! Do you think you could ramble a-bit about what happened after Ranboo was discovered for the ask game? I was little sad when there wasn’t much more about it 🙃
Sure!
Ask game
Itsy Bitsy Drider
The first thing Tommy and Tubbo do after finding Ranboo is getting him out of the cabinet so they can get a better look at him. Tubbo gets a piece of paper, slides it under the container, and lifts Ranboo out.
Unfortunately, neither Tommy or Tubbo are thinking about the fact that they're basically keeping Ranboo captive. They're still in the mindset of 'eek spider' and 'what is this little guy?' and not really thinking about how he must be feeling.
Ranboo for his part is just really scared. He's still sort of convinced that he's going to be squished eventually. He answers all of the humans questions, giving as long and wordy answers as he can to try and stall. Eventually, the anticipation gets too much and he stops stalling, asking what they're going to do to him.
It's at this point that Tommy and Tubbo realize exactly what they've done and start feeling guilty. They're a little reluctant to let him go- what if they don't see him again?- but in the end they know they can't just keep him like a pet and they let him leave.

Where exactly is Phil staying in the vampire AU? What do Wilbur and techno trap him in when they catch him (I’m assuming they catch him)
Phil has a few places in the house where he hides or hangs out. He's not inside at all times; he likes to be outside during the nights when he isn't feeding.
During the day, though, he likes to hang out under beds, under couches, or in rarely used cabinets.
When he was caught, he was actually in the middle of feeding. Wilbur was the one to actually notice him, and he freaked out- understandably. Phil had been biting on his ankle, and Wilbur kicked on instinct.
Phil was flung across the room, and ended up a bit dazed. He managed to use his wings and catch himself so he wasn't hurt, but he was very disoriented.
While he was still recovering, Wilbur grabbed a plastic bin, dumped it out, and slammed it over Phil. He weighed it down with something heavy, then ran to get Techno.
When they realized Phil wasn't just an animal, they decided to just lock him in the closet instead of keeping him in a box or something. The door didn't lock, so they just piled a bunch of boxes in front of it to keep Phil inside. They don't really have a plan beyond that; he's just locked up until they figure out what to do.

Ask game!
Blue- Shooting Stars
I've mentioned before that Tubbo, along with other Faunians, has similar mannerisms to goats. Specifically headbutting to show affection. All of the different species on board the ship have different ways of showing friendly affection!
Dream and Puffy are Faunians like Tubbo, so they also headbutt. Their horns are shaped differently, so they don't do it in quite the same way as Tubbo.
Wilbur is a Phantom, a species that shows affection through hand holding. Since most have four sets of hands, the more hands involved the more affectionate the gesture is.
Shifters like Slime and Quackity have a gesture that's unique to their species. Since their bodies are not exactly solid, often two or more shifters will allow a portion of their bodies to mix together. The best comparison for other species would be hand holding.
Foolish is a Totem. His form of friendliness is much less specific than most, coming in the form of physical contact. Hugs, pets, sitting close enough that sides touch, those would all be signs of affection from a Totem.
Sam is unique in that his species doesn't really have a way to show affection. He is a Creeper, a plant based species, and for them physical affection never really became a thing. However, he does care very much about the crew, and considers them family. His way of showing he cares is participating in any of their various forms of affection or just spending time with them.
The crew has spent long enough together that they've begun adopting each other's mannerisms, including this. Wilbur and Foolish have started headbutting as well as their own things. Quackity and Slime have started holding hands with the others as a substitute for their usual method. And Tubbo has taken a leaf- no pun intended- out of Sam's book and participates in all types of friendly affection.

Starstruck au, I noticed that in your design art for Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo Tubbo has a mark on the top left of his face.
While this is a common part of Tubbo designs I do have to wonder, is there a reason for this in universe?
(sorry if I said anything dumb I'm still rather new to Tumblr)
Ahh I see someone got curious about his scar. It's partially to add a bit more interest into his design, and partially because there's a story reason behind it.
You'll notice that he doesn't have the scar while in the simulation. And he's already got it right after waking up.
All three of the boys designs right after getting out of the simulation are meant to be a bit... worrying, I guess you could call it. The reason they're all a lot paler, skinnier, etc is because they've been asleep in a lab bed their entire lives. But the reason for Tubbo's scar and Ranboo's white hair are not so innocent.
Wilbur was not the first researcher to oversee their experiment. While Wilbur doesn't even touch the kids before bringing them out, too scared he'll hurt them, that wasn't the case for the scientist who created them. After all... they were an experiment.
While nothing terribly bad was done to them, the former researcher tried a few times to run experiments beyond the simulation. His first try was with Tubbo; he ended up permanently scarring him, and didn't continue. He ran a few less risky ones on all three of them, with varying results, and eventually tried a more intense experiment on Ranboo. The stress from it is what caused Ranboo's hair to turn white.
Wilbur finds these reports while digging and is understandably horrified. There isn't anything he can do beyond make sure it never happens again. None of them remember the experiments, of course, since they were in the simulation during them. But even if they don't remember, the experiments left their mark.
