Just read your shifting post. And I feel like I struggle with lucid dreaming now that my frontal lobe developed. It sucks. Do you have any advice for newbies who are attempting to shift? It’s all very new to me! Thank you in advance🫡😚💙
Hello! First of all, I want to say that I think I've stumbled upon your acc somewhere else and I thought you were a shifter because of the oc as your pfp... I guess I was right hehe🤭
also, do you mean that you wanted to use the lucid dreaming method to shift, because ofc shifting is not a lucid dream but ld can be used to shift
anyways, I think the best thing to do is to keep a positive mindset no matter what and to think of it as easy and simple, don't try to overcomplicate it

Anyways this response is extremely long, hopefully it's helpful:
Now as for lucid dreaming(ld), there are many ways to do it:
one. wbtb method
-set an alarm for 4-5 hrs for after when you fall asleep and then sleep. when the alarm wakes you up, get out of bed and do something (go to the bathroom, maybe do a reality check, practice what you're going to do in your ld/ how you're going to shift etc, just try to wake yourself up a bit for 5-10 minutes. You can even think about lucid dreaming or whatever. If you have a hard time falling back asleep then stay up for just 5 minutes. Or if you have a really hard time, then just stay in bed awake for those 5 minutes. Anyways, go back to bed lay down and start affirming "I'm aware I'm dreaming" over and over again until you fall asleep. From there you'll either get right into the lucid dream while still awake, you'll feel like you're getting sucked into the dream and feel your mind zooming in and out until you're in the dream straight from the awake stage and so ofc you'll be lucid. OR you'll fall asleep and your dream will be lucid. If not try again next time (but I've had good success with this method.
two. supplements
-for legal purposes, i'm not responsible or advising anyone to take any sort of medicine.
Use galantamine(I got mine from amazon). Take the recommended amount which is like 4-5mg. How to use: go to bed and set an alarm for your REM stage(4-5hrs) fall asleep, wake up with the alarm, take the galantamine and immediately try to fall asleep as fast as you can before it starts taking effect and prevents you from falling asleep which is the main problem I have from it since I had insomnia for a while so the extra boost from galantamine didn't help my sleeping problem. It's best to have the galantamine somewhere next to your bed with a glass of water. wake up, drink it and fall back asleep as fast as you can and your dream should be lucid. Only use the galantamine once a week or at least 5 days of spacing between uses so the effects don't ware off.
three. lay down, close your eyes and start moving them left and right for about 10-15 minutes until you feel like you're ready(don't move during this process so make sure you choose a comfortable position. This will trick your body into thinking that you're in REM stage. You can probably fall asleep from there(which will most likely give you a lucid dream or you continue on. When you feel like it's enough, try opening your eyes and you'll feel your body go stiff and like you can't move: sleep paralysis. From sleep paralysis, just affirm that you're in your dr or try to visualize it while affirming. You should shift quickly.
four. subliminals
use lucid dream subliminals 2-3x a day while doing anything (or at night before sleeping- it doesn't matter when you listen to it) and then at night your dream should be lucid.

Using subliminals are really easy, use it, don't doubt it and don't waiver and be like "omg when are results gonna come....is this working...I don't think it's working...I don't have results" blah blah blah because then it won't work since you're repeating that and your mind will believe those doubts since the mind is stronger than any subliminal. Just listen 2-3x and don't worry or stress about it. Best to just assume it's working and that you have results and you should be good to go.
You can also use shifting subliminals as well
As for techniques, I already gave you a link earlier on in this post but you can also use the julia method, sunni method, raven method, 5 senses method. Or you can just lay down, relax and calm down then start visualizing that you're in your dr (1st person pov ofc) and think about how things look like in front of you, some noises you might hear, some things you might smell, how the round under you feels like etc and then start affirming that you're in your dr while continue to visualize. That has honestly gotten me pretty close plenty of times.

three. Thursday, May 4th (night time)
I laid down in bed getting ready for sleep and I just decided to think about Pandora (like I always do). And so I decided to just calm down and relax my mind for shifting. I then started thinking about Tuktirey and my dream hunt. At the time I shift, Mo'at has just woken me up since I passed out during my dream hunt and so I thought about Tuk's voice telling me "[name] you're awake!" like how she told Kiri🤧💙. I thought about that a few times and imagined her in front of me being happy to see me and this worked so well that I started to feel my surroundings change, my mind started spinning and I felt like I was floating. I started affirming "I'm in my desired reality" over and over again and then my feet started to get SUPER hot. I think my feet were a little too close to the Omaticaya's fire pit but I kept on affirming and the shifitng sensations got stronger until I heard some super loud noise from one of my family members bumping something into the wall😐. Anyways, at least the experience was super motivating for me hehe.
four. Tuesday June 5th (latest attempt-updated on June 13th as I forgot about it)
I laid down in my bed, closed my eyes relaxed for a bit and then just started imagining mo'at waving her hands over me (like when she does the prayers and healings in avatar2009). and she was waving some peppermint over me and I tried visualizing how the inside of home tree and the canopies of leaves looked like while hearing kiri's voice asking "(my name) are you alright)." All of a sudden I felt my body vibrating, my eyelids shaking, a light flashing in front of me and I heard chattering in the background like the omaticaya were all speaking and I felt the warmth again from a nearby fire pit(but not too hot this time) and I felt the ground underneath me start to change and the bed got harder as if I was laying on a rock. Unfortunately I lost focus and welp, that was that shifting attempting.
five. Tuesday, July 4th (late update)
I simply relaxed, did the hypnosis method I mentioned in one of my links and on the final step, I started hearing bird sounds, forest sounds and felt my mind spinning around me. Also, all of the noise from my old reality got drowned out and I heard chattering from what I assumed was the omaticaya clan. I could feel that it was day time as it just felt like it. Unfortunately I got distracted with the pillow under my head as it got uncomfortable to lay on and it interrupted my shifting. I was really close though. Next time I'll completely make it🤞

How do you shift
Hi anon, this is a very long response since there are many different answers to this.
TL;DR:
-Lucid dream method, visualizing and affirming that I'm in my desired reality while trying to feel it real in the moment, just visualizing being in my dr in 1st person pov(like laying down on the grass), visualizing someone in my dr in front of me waking me up and also imagining their voice in my head as they're doing so, or also some sort of hypno method. There are many shifting methods online that you can also use. Don't forget to make a script.
shifting is simply simply the act of moving your consciousness to another reality. It's not sleeping or dreaming. You're just in another reality. While you're in your dr, your clone(the version of you who didn't shift) stays here and continues to live life as normal. You can stay in your dr for as long as you want (even forever and never come back).
assuming this is a personal question, like how I specifically shift:
lucid dream method:
I've fully shifted using a lucid dream (shifting is not a lucid dream and is not dreaming). I simply made sure that when I was aware that I was dreaming, I made a portal in the air (I simply drew it) while affirming "portal to my desired reality" and stepped inside of it. Too bad I shifted to a wrong reality because 1. I didn't stabilize my lucid dream(I freaked out and rushed it). I should have stabilized it by rubbing my hands together and affirming "maximize stability, increase lucidity" a few times to make sure that the dream was completely stable, and to make sure I was fully aware and had complete control over everything. and this leads to 2. because I didn't have full control over the lucid dream, when I tried to make the portal it didn't appear and I tried to draw it again and again but I said, meh, screw the portal and just pretended it was there and stepped inside and I ended up shifitng anyways, but to a wrong reality (I wasn't even affirming to shift specifically to my dr anymore while repeatedly trying but just knew that when I stepped in, I was gonna somehow shift... and I did🥴). Also, for some people, the portal thing might not work at all so you can just stabilize the dream and affirm that you're in your desired reality and so you'll actually start feeling your atmosphere/surroundings change and next thing you know, you'll be in your dr. Or in your ld (lucid dream) you can just affirm that you'll wake up in your dr and then forcefully wake yourself up by throwing yourself backwards, running into oncoming traffic, throwing yourself off a cliff and when you wake up, you should be in your dr.
other methods:
As for my other close attempts to my most recent dr (my avatar pandora dr) I've also done some sort of hypno method which includes:
basically relax, lay down and keep your eyes open and look at the ceiling and breathe in "I'm very sleep" and out "I'm in a deep sleep" ~10x. then close your eyes and breathe in "I'm shifting to ___" and out "I'm at ___". ex: breathe in "I'm shifting to Pandora" and out "I'm at Pandora". try to visualize your dr while doing that(remember to immerse yourself there and do your best to forget that you're here. it's even better to believe that you're already there) and do that ~10-15x. Then breathe in "I'm at pandora" and breathe out a fact about yourself there like "My name is___" "I'm ___yrs old" "I'm in my avatar form" or "I'm dating ____" ( whatever you can think of) and do that while visualizing and you should feel symptoms eventually (I felt them rather quickly) at that point and just continue until you shift (don't focus on the symptoms and try to forget about it, just focus on already being in your dr.)
There are many shifting methods to choose from online that you can also use. A quick google search should give you tons. I do recommend calming your mind for a minute or two by relaxing, maybe thinking about your dr or meditating before you do a method to shift as it helps you focus your mind on your dr.
Don't forget to make a script on the details of your dr and include some safety details, and overall details about yourself, your love life, or if you want a certain plot to take place, you and certain ppl being immortal, or the whole world being immortal, or the rest of the world becoming immortal at a certain point etc. etc. etc. (you get the point).
there are many things you can script and I actually have a pretty long script in my notion app that I've been thinking about sharing in a more organized and detailed post, so anyone(incl. you anon, let me know if you want to see it or if you want more posts about shifting (that would ofc also be much more organized and detailed).
