The entire base had been decorated with Christmas decorations, mercs included. They were doused with Santa hats, festive lights, ornaments hanging from their sleeves, and lots and lots of spiked eggnog and alcohol. Everything was festive, including the folks inside. Elise and Sniper were alone in a room, and she held a mistletoe above their head to push them forward a bit.

Eh, why not? Leaning down, he gave her a soft peck against her lips, smiling all the while. "Mer'y Christmas, Eli," he grinned.

Trevor was very lucky to find himself back in Janet's good graces after… everything. He was quite the rowdy bastard once the booze got flowing, and it didn't help that he'd already had a hair-pin trigger. Still, he did well to mediate the rippling impact of his disorderly behavior toward the Lost customers he'd 'had a little chat' with.

Which is why they compromised on day visits only. And a limit to how much he drank. It wasn't much, but it would do.

And it did!

Trevor was more than happy to chat the bartend up as she did her best to ignore him, absentmindedly wiping at the counter in hopes she'd find something to occupy herself with. Trevor huffed when he caught on, grumbling as he cracked open his drink and idly picked at the basket of fries. Just as his mind started to wander off, gaze fixated on the slithering snake tucked against the wall, he heard a voice and peered over to the source.

"Does it look taken?" Chapped lips twitched into a grin as he nudged the empty stool with his foot. "Nah, it ain't."

Lyna never thought to find herself now walking along the boat docks; head hanging low and hands in the pockets of her long trench coat. Just from hearing all of the commotion and conversations from various pirates and travelers - it only brought a stabbing feeling at the priestess' heart. Because of how the man she was once in love with was a pirate himself.

She brought a hand up to wipe away the oncoming tears, in an attempt to teach herself not to cry anymore. All while being mentally reminded of how she was always called a crybaby. Now finding herself sitting on a bench, Lyna leaned forward and folded her hands in front of her - clutching a familiar pair of golden earrings in her palms all the while.

Helen wasn't usually one for going outdoors any more than was required of her. Today, though, what was required of her was more than the usual. Rather than be left content in a ship's cabin to absorb herself in her books, she was asked to visit the fishmongers along the docks to arrange for a purchase for the ship's stores. Normally this would be handled by someone else, like her brothers, but they are both preoccupied with their own needs, and so it falls to her.

While trekking along the crowded markets along the docks, a stranger caught her attention as she sat along in a large coat, handling fine jewelry between her fingers.

".... hey, you should put those away, you know. Pickpockets and thieves wouldn't give up a chance to snatch them away at first opportunity in a place like this."

Killian jolted up from his bed in a cold sweat, heart racing and breaths ragged due to the nightmare he just experienced. The trauma-stemmed nightmares were something he got used to now, but that didn’t mean they weren’t terrifying to him when they happened. He shuffles his weight over to the edge of the bed, an elbow propped up against his thigh as he cradles his head. He was going to have trouble going back to sleep later. After a few moments of silence, he looks up, only to see his form in the mirror on his closet door. It was still him but in a more vulnerable state than he’d let anyone find him in.

The scars he had were mottled, a tint darker than his skin tone. It made him look wrinkled, disfigured in comparison to the rest of his appearance. They encompassed the left half of his face, mingling well with the couple of metallic plates that structured his jaw and skull. Eyes trail further down, seeing that another set of scars continued on most of his left shoulder and down to the nub of the arm he had left. Killian grimaces, hating how his reflection looked in the silvery light the open window provided. Scars always talked about people’s pasts and his reasonings behind his own were far from pleasant.

He continues to stare at his reflection, teeth now bared as he felt vengeful rage build up again. His cyborg eye became a deadly shade of red, eyes almost growing watery from the slight memories that came back to him. They were a result from one of Lance’s explosions, from one of the so-called “missions” that agent went on. It was the reason his men were dead, the reason of how unappealing he looked now. It was all Lance’s fault. He will plan vengeance on that cocky bastard, but tonight was not one of those nights. Getting up off the mattress, Killian passes the mirror and heads out to the kitchen for some water or do something to make him tired again.

She had spent quite a few hours working on it, making it just the way Ryuji likes it. She did also plan on baking a cake for him - but alas, the poor girl was still debating on what kind to make.

Carefully, she sets the bowl and chopsticks down on the table and sits down next to him. Pulling Ryuji into her arms to give him a soft kiss on the cheek, and another one on his lips. "I worked hard on this just to show how much I love you." ( Ryuji’s Birthday 2022 - Accepting! )

“Thanks, Makoto!” He lifts up his head, giving an appreciative sniff at her efforts.  “Your ramen sounds amazing, I can’t wait to try it!” From the moment she exited the kitchen, his eyes remained fixed on the bowl, taking in the amazing smell - and what would surely be an amazing taste to match.

Clasping his hands together with a smile, he leans into her touch and returns her kiss with a soft one of his own, gently pressing his lips to hers.  Running his hands through her hair, he takes a brief second to nuzzle his forehead against hers before pulling away with a whisper.

“I can’t wait to try it - ‘cause I definitely know I’m the luckiest guy alive right now.  I love you too,” He reaches to tenderly stroke one of her hands, gently, beckoning her closer.  “Now let’s enjoy this wonderful birthday meal together,”
