rank bcs characters from most to least evil
This is such an interesting question and I hope that my answer isn't too controversial because it's obviously such a subjective question in the first place, but with a show like Better Call Saul where most of the characters are morally ambiguous at the very least as well as 'criminals', ranking them like this is such a personal question and I feel like most people's responses would vary wildly.
Lalo, Gus, Chuck, Nacho, Mike, Howard, Jimmy, Kim
I had the hardest time deciding whether to place Lalo or Gus in first place. The top spot clearly belongs to one of them imo and I honestly don't think putting either of them there would be 'wrong', but Gus' more methodical and cautious approach to the crime world feels less evil to me than Lalo's more rash and hot-headed approach. I know a lot of other people would feel completely the opposite though! I'm also unequivocally #TeamGus and knowing that everything he's doing, he does to avenge the man he loves makes me sympathize with him more than I do with Lalo.
I think that putting Chuck third is a little unfair considering I'm putting him above outright murderers, but the way that Chuck conducts himself feels more 'evil' and at least malicious to me than the way that Nacho and Mike conduct themselves. Neither Nacho nor Mike seem to take pleasure in hurting others and do it because they're doing what they have to do so to speak. The way Chuck treated Jimmy and Howard was really just shitty to be shitty.
Nacho is above Mike for me because everything Mike does is really to take care of his granddaughter and daughter-in-law. We don't know enough about Nacho's backstory for me to really feel comfortable hypothesizing on why he got involved in the drug world or his motivations, but it doesn't seem like he's involved to help his father or his family.
I had a hard time also deciding whether to put Jimmy or Howard first, but I really just do not vibe with Howard's treatment of Kim although I'd say Howard is obviously a better person than Saul. Talking exclusively about what we've seen from Jimmy in most of Better Call Saul, he can definitely be malicious and underhanded, but I feel like most of the people he treats that way deserve it (obviously just my opinion lol). And Kim was such a loyal, hardworking employee, treating her like Howard did for publicity reasons just gets under my skin.
I hope that putting Kim last doesn't seem too biased because I don't have a problem at all rooting for antagonists and I actually do hope they take a darker turn with her character next season. She just so far hasn't done many 'evil' things. She's spent most of the show following the law and trying to be a good person.
