I remember making this last year, I also got into Splatoon when Splatoon 2 came but I was ecstatic when Splatoon 3 is in. I ate mostly squid but I rarely eat octopus so I chose to make my trollsona, Rose as an octoling. I decided to do my own trolls Splatoon AU.

The main team is called Team Harmony. Poppy, as an inkling uses a splattershot, Branch, also an inkling, wields a splat roller, and Rose, my trollsona and an octoling, splats hard with a Splatterscope. Rose’s legwear, boots, top, accessories, and fur coat, Poppy’s headband and dress color/patterns, Branch’s vest, and the design/color of their weapons also change in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3. BerryViolet as an octoling is also in the team but I had this thought that Jussy a.k.a @jade-green-butterfly and Emi a.k.a @groovinyeen would join Cooper’s new team, which he forms with Prince D.

In the Splatoon AU, the characters are all inklings and later, octolings. The setting is in Greater Inkopolis (both Inkopolis Plaza and Inkopolis Square), and Splatsville.

Poppy and the Snack Pack are a group of inklings who love participating in turf wars. They love to sing, dance, hug, and splat, and they are very popular. Everybody loved them, except for a lone squid, Branch. In one turf war, Creek betrayed the Snack Pack and Branch but they were saved by a mysterious figure, who used a Splatterscope to splat Creek with. Branch noticed that the stranger morphed into an octopus and swam away. He and Poppy chased after the octopus but they bumped to a pair of inklings, a blue, male inkling named Skipper Tentacore and an orange, female inkling named Coraline Atlantica, who joined them. They gave chase and followed the octopus, but the inklings, and the octopus are shortly dragged by Cap'n Cuttlefish to save the Great Zapfish from the Octarians. Branch and Poppy were astonished that their mysterious savior was an octoling named Rose. Coraline, Skipper, and Poppy welcomed her while Branch was curious about her with suspicion.

They are assigned as Agents 3 (Coraline), 3.1 (Skipper), 3.2 (Poppy), 3.4 (Branch), and 3.0 (Rose) (or "Agents 3”) respectively. Coraline as Agent 3 proves herself to be an effective field leader as leads the team in each mission and under Cap’n Cuttlefish’s mentoring. Rose was hesitant in following the rules but she was able to use the weapons that she brought with her proficiently, which impressed her new teammates. After defeating the Octowhirl, the squad returned to the outpost to rescue Cap’n Cuttlefish when they heard a mysterious voice but he got kidnapped by a mysterious UFO and it flew away. Branch questions Rose, who confessed that she knew nothing abour the Octarians because she and her family recently moved to Inkadia. She reveals that they moved to Inkopolis and she never joined any team when they moved in because she bludgeoned a group of bullies out of rage and how she was responsible for their trauma. Poppy and the others finally realize why she was hesitant to shoot anyone and gives her a hug.

After a heart-to-heart scene, the squad continued the missions as Cap’n Cuttlefish’s former protégés and granddaughters, Agents 1 and 2, supervise them instead. When the squad found Cap’n Cuttlefish tied up, the captain warned them not to come closer. Soon, they are confronted by DJ Octavio, who is riding his mech, the Octobot King, and having sucked the Great Zapfish into it. DJ Octavio then starts to play music, and attacks the squad with one of the Octobot King’s fists, but Skipper was able to shoot it back. The squad continued to fight DJ Octavio until Agent 1 and 2 override his music and replaced it with the Calamari Inkantation. Rose was empowered by the heavenly melody while Cap’n Cuttlefish broke free from his bonds. The squad, joined by Agents 1 and 2 continued the fight until they finally defeat DJ Octavio together.

Cap’n Cuttlefish congratulated the squad for defeating DJ Octavio, who is now trapped in a snowglobe. Agents 1 and 2 then say that they have to get going, but they accidentally crash into the floor instead of going into the kettle that leads to Inkopolis. Some of their headgear falls off, and they are revealed to be the Squid Sisters, which was revealed to the squad themselves. They told the group not to tell anyone, which Poppy, Branch, and Rose pinky promise, and successfully leave through the kettle. The squad then also leave Octo Valley shortly after, and the Great Zapfish is now back in Inkopolis Tower. Branch, Poppy, and Rose thanked Skipper and Coraline as they part ways and the trio reunited with the Snack Pack, who welcome Rose into their group. They continued having turf wars with each other and at the same time, sing, dance, hug, and perform with the Snack Pack as a band, with Rose in lead vocals.

After two years, the Snack Pack become a famous pop band and they become more fresh with their new gear, new weapons, and a new member named Legsly, but Rose felt lonely. Poppy asked her why she was sad and she replied that there are no octolings for her to be friends with. Soon, they are challenged in a turf war battle by Trollex and his team. Before the turf war started, Cooper bumped to an inkling who looked like him, named Darnell, and there, he found out that he had a long-lost family, because he was raised by a jellyfish family. After a turf war battle with the Techno Team, they were challenged by Dante Crescendo and his team, then Holly Darlin’, Gust Tumbleweed and their team, Lownote Jones and his team, the K-Pop Gang, the Reggaeton Trio, the Yodellers, Val Thundershock and her team, and finally, Barb and her team. Rose had a short-term romance with Chaz but they soon breakup after an incident and dumped him for Lownote Jones. In their latest turf war battle, they discover that their opponent team is lead by Darnell, in which Cooper is a team member. They befriended each team after each battle, and Rose felt happier than ever, now that she is surrounded by both inklings and octolings.

Poppy and the Snack Pack decided to work in Grizzco for extra cash but Branch and Rose felt uneasy about it because of the rumors that the job is shady so they refused and decided to join the Reggaeton Trio in helping Crusty Sean repair his shop and serve his customers. Poppy and the Snack Pack were joined by Lownote Jones, Holly Darlin’, Val Thundershock, Dante Crescendo, and Synth on the boat as they sailed to the Spawning Grounds to fight the Salmonids. After completing the Salmon Run, Poppy noticed that Rose is feeding the Smallfries with breadcrumbs that she tried to save Rose from the Salmonids but they, Branch, Lownote Jones, Holly Darlin’, Val Thundershock, Dante Crescendo, and Synth fell into a hole and a Smallfry fell in as well.

The gang ended up in an underground location, where they were found by an Octoling boy. He lead them to a camp area, where Cap’n Cuttlefish recognizes Poppy, Branch, and Rose as Agent 3.2, 3.4, and 3.0. He told them and their new friends about how he, Coraline and Skipper fought the Octoling in Octo Valley before "someone" attacked them and caused him to lose all of their memories in the process. Rose adopted the Smallfry that fell with them and named him Golfball.

After finding a way through the beginning of the subway, the gang, now dressed in Spy gear, the Octoling and Cap'n Cuttlefish come across an empty platform with a telephone ringing. As the Octoling answers the Telephone, it identifies them as Applicant No. 10008; deeming the name too long, Cap'n Cuttlefish decides to give them the name "Agent 8" for short.

The Telephone tells Agent 8 and the gang that they would want to go to the "Promised Land" so they can be free, but to do so, they must collect four "thangs". As the call ends, a train pulls up towards the gang, Agent 8 and Cap'n Cuttlefish and stops for them. They then meet C.Q. Cumber, the conductor of the train, who explains the functions of the CQ-80 and the CQ Points system.

The gang joined Agent 8 in the first mission, in which they succeeded because Rose secretly used Golfball as a distraction for the enemies but she would use a whistle call to make it come back to her pocket. Upon collecting the first mem cake, Agent 8 remembers a part of his past, with his name first, revealing to be Octowyn Webber and later, he remembers a part of his past, which is about an Octoling Girl. As they continue, Octowyn wonders what kind of people Inklings are after observing the gang and Cap'n Cuttlefish. The walkie talkie is used by Pearl and Marina to contact with the three as they introduce themselves and help them reach the surface.

The group decides to split and clear various tests, with Rose leading Branch and Poppy, Holly and Val, Lownote, Synth, and Dante joining Octowyn. The more they collected mem cakes, the more Octowyn remembers his past. When they recovered all four thangs, the Telephone opens the door of what seems to be the exit of the Deepsea Metro, but it was soon revealed to be a trap. Pearl and Marina realized that it was a blender as soon as it was activated, and the Telephone plans to use the gang, Eight and Cap'n Cuttlefish as the ingredients for its goal. Before the blender can reach to them, Coraline and Skipper crashed through the ceiling and destroy the blender, but Skipper was knocked out cold. This resulted in Octowyn fully remembering about what happened before he ended up in the Deepsea Metro: He and his friends Cephaluna Echo, Finberly Bivalvet, and Tentaclyde Shellington were attacked by Skipper and Coraline. He told his friends to go on without him while he holds off the two inklings, which triggered the events before.

Marina noticed an employee-model CQ-80 and told Octowyn that he can use it to activate an elevator to the surface. He wants to find his friends, and Coraline and the gang follow him to escape through various phases. Cap'n Cuttlefish decides to stay to look after a fainted Skipper, but they are immediately attacked by the Telephone. While escaping, the gang realizes that they forgot to bring their weapons, but Octowyn came prepared with the weapons that he recovered and fixed, while Coraline kept hers.

After a lengthy escape, Coraline, Octowyn, and the gang is forced to defeat a partially sanitized Skipper, who had been attacked while they were escaping. The gang took their time to stall Skipper so that Coraline and Octowyn can remove the paste and free Skipper of the sanitation. Skipper wakes up and hugs Coraline while the gang looked on and Branch sets Cap’n Cuttlefish free. Once on the surface, Pearl and Marina prepare to airlift Cap'n Cuttlefish, Skipper, Coraline, and the gang to safety. Poppy promised Octowyn that he will join the turf wars and they will help him find his friends that they both made a pinky promise.

Just before they can celebrate, the above-ground section of the facility proceeds to rise from the ground, now revealed to be part of a human statue. The Telephone introduces itself as Commander Tartar, an AI created 12,000 years ago to pass on human knowledge to any species worthy enough. It reveals that it has judged both Inklings and Octarians as unworthy of receiving its knowledge and begins activating a weapon to destroy and recreate life on Earth, fueled by the raw material of the successful test subjects that it seeks to use to create "perfect" life.

Marina analyzed the NILS Statue and gave the gang instructions on how to defeat it. Due to making a promise to have Octowyn participate in Turf Wars and find his friends, the gang, Octowyn, Coraline, and Skipper agree to stop the NILS Statue, as the group starts to cover it with ink for 3 minutes They split up to focus on turfing different parts of the statue, using Marina's prototype hyperbombs. Commander Tartar attempts to fire the paste regardless, but Pearl stops it through her Princess Cannon, powered by her voice. With the day saved and Commander Tartar destroyed, Pearl and Marina hug with everyone else celebrating.

With the world saved and Tartar destroyed, Pearl and Marina hug with Cap'n Cuttlefish celebrating and everybody cheered along while Rose bounced Golfball in her hands. With the world saved, Off the Hook returns to Inkopolis Square, dropping off the gang and Octowyn, who was finally reunited with Cephaluna and their friends.

17 weeks later, the Great Zapfish was squidnapped again and Poppy, Rose, with Golfball, and Branch decided to go to Octo Canyon and tell Cap’n Cuttlefish about it but Barb, Holly Darlin’, Val Thundershock, and two inklings, a pink, female inkling Aquanette Squidrow and a green, male inkling named Finn Coastline, noticed them running and decided to follow them. They go down the manhole and wind up in Octo Canyon. Poppy, Rose, and Branch tried to find Cap’n Cuttlefish but they only saw Marie. She tells them that the Octarians have stolen the Zapfish again. She recognizes Poppy, Branch, and Rose as Agent 3.2, 3.4, and 3.0, while the newcomers became Agents 4, with Finn as Agent 4, Barb as Agent 4.0, Aquanette as Agent 4.1, Holly Darlin’ as Agent 4.2, and Val as Agent 4.3.

Rose took on the responsibilities of a field leader as she lead the squad in missions, with Poppy as a second-in-command, Barb as third-in-command, and Branch as the first lieutenant. Golfball tagged along with them to distract the enemies and bite the octarians to help Rose and the squad defeat them. After completing a first set of missions, they meet with Marie again, and she tells them that Callie has gone missing. The squad then try to help her look for Callie in their second set of missions, when they hear someone speaking through Marie's radio. The audio is bad, so they can't hear what the person is saying, so they try to guess. The voice revealed to be Callie’s and she tells them to "Leave now", much to everybody’s surprise.

After completing sets of missions, they found Callie on a stage and DJ Octavio appears on his new Octobot King. He says that he "remixed Callie's brain", and starts to attack the squad. Using the Octobot King Mk 2, Octavio attacks with bombs, takoyaki, and his fists. As the squad do their best to dodge the Octobot's various attacks, Octavio summons Octarian troopers, who are much more power due to Callie's song. In a nick of time, Marie, with the assistance of Sheldon, shoots the hypno glasses off of Callie and begins playing the Calamari Inkantation in a stereo, which brings Callie back to her senses. The squad are then given a Rainmaker and hop on an ink rail in an attempt to reach Octavio, but Barb decided to finish the job and she lets the rest cover for her. DJ Octavio is then defeated with the Rainmaker, and everyone heads back to Octo Canyon's entrance. Callie and Marie thank the squad, while Sheldon bid farewell to them. The squad then heads home, and are greeted with the site of the great zapfish wrapped around Deca Tower. While they had ramen in a nearby restaurant, Barb admitted that this was the greatest adventure she had, which the others agree and Golfball burped along with them.

Five years later, the Snack Pack and their friends became famous music bands as they still live in Inkopolis but they gathered in Splatsville for occasional turf wars. While preparing to compose their music, Poppy, Rose, and Branch were shocked upon the news of the Great Zapfish being stolen again. Poppy, Rose, Golfball, and Branch decided to find Cap’n Cuttlefish but they were later followed by a trio of inklings, a yellow, female inkling named Shellena Clambyrne, who also owns a salmonid named Smallfry, a pink inkling Kelpy Seagrass, and a blue, male octoling named Tidus Narwhalt.

The trio told Poppy, Branch, and Rose, that they are scrap hunters who search for junk gems by day and splat it up in Turf Wars on the side. They through a manhole, where they meet Craig Cuttlefish on the other end at the Crater. Poppy, Branch, and Rose were promoted to Sergeant (Rose), Corporal (Poppy), and Private (Branch), while Shellena, Kelpy, and Tidus became the new Agents 3, 3.0. and 3.1 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. The New Squidbeak Splatoon's mission is to stop the continued fight against the unruly Octarians, who are suspected for the recent disappearance of the Great Zapfish in Splatsville.

While Rose lead the new squad in fighting the octarians and clearing the fuzzy ooze with the help of Golfball and Smallfry. Cuttlefish also notices that the Octarians have furs grown over their body, as opposed to their previous appearances where they were smoother. When Cuttlefish tries to gain contact with Agent 1 and Agent 2, DJ Octavio interveres, but there is static noises for some reason.

After reaching the center of the Crater, DJ Octavio appears in his battle mech named Octobot L3.Gs, trying to confront the squad for the recent disappearance of his Octarian armies and a fight ensues between the squad. Rose stopped the fight and asked him about the stolen Great Zapfish, DJ Octavio states that he does not even know about it this time. He confessed to Cuttlefish and the squad that he indeed did not steal the Great Zapfish, and Cuttlefish thinks that someone else might have done it. Before they can continue, the ground beneath them collapses as Fuzzy Oozes flows out. Cuttlefish and the squad get separated in the fall. The squad and the two smallfrys end up in a place called Alterna, which leads to them reuniting and meeting the New Squidbeak Splatoon comprised of Coraline (now Captain), Skipper and the Squid Sisters. They also recruited Lownote Jones, and some of their friends for assistance as well.

The squad, led by Rose, took on different missions and tests as they are also aided by a robotic assistant named O.R.C.A., who helps guide them through Alterna.

At the end of Site 1, Future Utopia Island, Deep Cut, an idol trio composed of an octoling named Shiver, an inkling named Frye, and a manta ray named Big Man, make their entrance and made it clear that all the loot in Alterna belongs to them. Poppy, Branch, and Rose felt like they had seen them before before the group left, but they continued onward anyway.

After completing each set of tests and missions in each site, the squad had to retrieve the three 'treasures' in the area and the squad has to defeat each member of Deep Cut to continue. Lownote Jones, through the communicator, and Rose tried to reason with the teammates but to no avail.

After collecting all the treasures, they form a lawn mower-like tool, which Captain Coraline uses to cut off the fur near the rocket at Alterna Space Center so the team can go there and save Cuttlefish, who is located there.

Captain Coraline gets hurt while using the tool, and it also breaks down. Soon after this, Deep Cut appears again trying to take back the treasure, but Marie tells Deep Cut that they don’t need the treasure and that they can have it back. Lownote Jones confessed that he purposely asked them for help and he told them that they knew Branch, Poppy, and Rose because Frye spotted Branch playing his bass guitar as she was training the eels, Shiver spotted Rose in her voice lessons with a mermaid while riding her shark, Master Mega, and Big Man knew Poppy because he called her mother “Auntie” when he was their neighbor. Deep Cut then asks Marie to be their boss, who reluctantly accepts.

On their way to the rocket, the party overhears that Mr. Grizz plans to use Cuttlefish and the Golden Eggs (collected by the unwitting Inklings and Octolings in Inkopolis and Splatsville working in his company) to 'restore the balance of the world'. Branch and Rose knew that there is something wrong with Grizzco Industries while Poppy, the Snack Pack, and their friends cried over the betrayal. When asked about the reason of hunting treasures, Shiver and Frye explain that they want to sell the treasure to help those in need in Splatsville, while leaving little to themselves, which makes Callie and Marie respect them.

Once the squad gets to the top, they and the New Squidbeak Splatoon find Cuttlefish all dried up and lifeless, as a result of being dehydrated by Mr. Grizz. Mr. Grizz, now revealed to be a grizzly bear, then appears and escapes on the rocket, which will then spread Fuzzy Ooze all over the Earth.

As they mourn for him, Skipper drops a tear on Cuttlefish's body, which makes him come to his sense. Deep Cut appears again and helps Agent 3 and Smallfry reach Mr. Grizz's rocket. Frye summons her eels to form an ink tornado, Shiver summons Master Mega to give the squad a boost to jump to the rocket, and Big Man gave them a new gear to help them adapt in space. The squad and their smallfrys were able to get to the rocket.

Upon reaching the rocket, the squad and Mr. Grizz engage in a fight. After having some of his Fuzzballs splatted, Mr. Grizz sent a blast towards the squad but it only knocked Shellena and Smallfry out from his rocket as he absorbs the Fuzzy Ooze and plans to send it on the Earth himself. Soon, DJ Octavio, now knowing who the true culprit is, appears in his modified Octobot to save Shellena and Smallfry while the rest of the squad rejoined them. DJ Octavio, Squid Sisters and Deep Cut then play Calamari Inkantation 3MIX together, causing Smallfry and Golfball to evolve into Hugefry. The two Salmonids fight Mr. Grizz as DJ Octavio and Shellena vacuum the Fuzzballs on Mr. Grizz's body while Rose led the rest of the squad to fight off the incoming fuzzy Octarians. Finally, Shellena and DJ Octavio back at Mr. Grizz, defeating him. After emerging victorious, DJ Octavio, Agent 3 and Smallfry return to the Earth together and they had celebratory feast with Deep Cut, the Squid Sisters, and their friends altogether.

I tried my best in shaping the stories but I dunno what is in store in Trolls 3 and the DLC in Splatoon 3. I hope to add more if I get the news.
