unfortunately you couldn’t make it to jamal’s game today. but you made sure to support by checking the scoreline every now and then whilst at work.
you were on your way home at half time and it was currently nil-nil.
jamal sent you a photo from the changing rooms, a quick selfie with alphonso davies. you heart reacted to the photo and sent him a ‘good luck’ before switching your phone off.
turning the television on, you managed to just catch harry kane’s goal and you smiled at the screen when you saw jamal running up to him.
your dog ran up to you and you picked him up, relaxing back onto the sofa to get into the match before jamal got home.
jamal loved it when you complimented him and especially after a match. it made him feel king of the world hearing your terms of endearment.
another goal went by and then you saw jamal kick the ball, and you jumped from the sofa. cheering, you switched your phone on to send him a selfie of you in front of the television.
you were immediately being tagged in tweets on twitter as soon as the goal happened and you even retweeted a few, knowing how your fans went crazy for you and jamal.
the match was nearly finished, and you were in shock at the score. jamal had made it 7-0 and then it ended 8-0.
he rang you immediately after and the smile on his face was contagious. “i can’t believe it, bambi! eight nil!”
jamal laughed at you, “me neither. i can’t wait to come home and see you.”
you knew he’d be a good two hours yet so you spent that time cleaning up the house and even managed to take the dog on a walk before jamal’s car pulled up in the driveway.
“hey, starboy!” you cheered, causing jamal to laugh and wrap his arms around your waist. his head was buried in the crook of your neck and you kissed his forehead lightly.
“did you see my second goal? that was for you.”
his dimples shown in his cheeks by how big he was smiling. you loved jamal’s smile. it made your stomach feel warm inside.
“it was amazing. you played so well, i’m so proud of you.”
even though you had been dating for a year, jamal still got nervous around you. which is why he pulled away because of the blush painted on his cheeks.
“i was thinking we could have a quiet night in. maybe order something and watch a couple of halloween films,” jamal told you.
it was a good idea so once you had looked at takeout menus and decided on eating chinese food.
“which one, hocus pocus or halloween?”
“duh, hocus pocus.”
the pair of you settled in with your food and the film on, your dog at the bottom of your sofa resting his head on your knees.
“you’re my starboy, you know?”
jamal looked down at you from his position on the couch, grip tightening around your waist as he pulled you in. “and you’re my stargirl.”

Robert Lewandowski breaks goal record as Bayern Munich ease past Wolfsburg
Robert Lewandowski broke Gerd Muller’s long-standing record for the most Bundesliga goals in a calendar year after notching number 43 in Bayern Munich’s 4-0 thumping of Wolfsburg on Friday night.
The Poland striker looked like having to settle for only a share of the record as Bayern’s last game of 2021 entered the final three minutes with the points sewn up at 3-0 but Lewandowski still not on the scoresheet.
However, the 33-year-old was not to be denied and he wrote his name in the record books in style with an acrobatic finish from Jamal Musiala’s header back into the middle of the area.
Lewandowski’s goal – his 24th in 21 matches against Wolfsburg – saw him eclipse the record of 42 that former Bayern and West Germany great Muller had set in 1972.
Thomas Muller, making his 400th Bundesliga appearance, had earlier set the runaway Bundesliga leaders on the road to victory with a seventh-minute opener and Dayot Upamecano and Leroy Sane put the result beyond doubt before Lewandowski added the icing to the cake.
Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan were in similarly clinical mood as they thrashed rock-bottom Salernitana 5-0 away from home.
The Italian champions needed only 12 minutes to break down their struggling opponents with Ivan Perisic putting Inter ahead and Denzel Dumfries made it 2-0 before half-time.
Alexis Sanchez added a third just after the break and late goals from substitutes Lautaro Martinez and Roberto Gagliardini wrapped up a sixth successive league win for Inter, who moved four points clear of AC Milan ahead of their weekend showdown with fourth-placed Napoli.
Friday’s other game in Italy saw Lazio beat second-bottom Genoa 3-1, Pedro, Francesco Acerbi and Mattia Zaccagni doing the damage before Filippo Melegoni’s late consolation.

Lewandowski has scored nine goals in his last three league games and wrapped up his treble within an hour at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern sit one point behind in second place, level on 12 points with third-placed Dortmund who later saw off Schalke 3-0 at home in the Ruhr derby with goals by Manuel Akanji, Erling Braut Haaland and Mats Hummels.
In Munich, Leroy Sane marked his return from injury with the fourth goal during a brief cameo, before England Under-17 midfielder Jamal Musiala also came off the bench to net the fifth.
– Davies injury –
However, Bayern’s victory came at a price with Canadian left-back Alphonso Davies out for up to eight weeks with torn ankle ligaments.
Lewandowski underlined his status as one of the world’s best strikers last season by scoring a career-best 55 goals in 47 games, including 34 in the Bundesliga.
The Polish international opened the scoring on 10 minutes when he fired home, then beat Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp with a powerful header in the 26th minute.
Bayern had a penalty appeal turned down when Douglas Costa’s cross clipped the hand of Frankfurt’s Makoto Hasebe.
Lewandowski wrapped up his hat-trick on the hour mark with a clinical finish from another Costa cross.
Sane then came on to ghost past a defender and drive his shot into the bottom corner with 18 minutes left before Musiala grabbed the final goal as Frankfurt suffered their first league defeat of the season.
Later, Haaland, 20, netted his 23rd goal in 26 games since his January transfer to Dortmund as they extended Schalke’s miserable record to 21 Bundesliga games without a win.
Dortmund bounced back from their 3-1 Champions League defeat in mid-week at Lazio with an impressive display.
Dortmund centre-back Akanji, back in the side after recovering from the coronavirus, opened the scoring on 55 minutes when he rifled home a rebound.
“I’m fully fit and it’s nice to score after a few unpleasant days at home in quarantine,” Akanji later told Sky.
– Haaland strikes again –
Haaland put the result beyond doubt with a superb chip over Schalke goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow on 61 minutes after staying on his feet despite a defender’s lunging challenge.
Hummels struck with a powerful header from a corner 12 minutes from time.
Earlier, Leipzig came from behind in a 2-1 win over Hertha, whose Colombian striker Jhon Cordoba scored in the eighth minute.
Leipzig drew level when defender Dayot Upamecano fired home from a free-kick on 11 minutes.
Berlin were reduced to 10 men after the break when substitute Deyovaisio Zeefuik was shown two yellow cards within four minutes of coming on.
Leipzig made the man advantage count when Marcel Sabitzer converted a penalty with 13 minutes left.
Hertha were lucky not to finish with nine men when another sub, Jessic Ngankam, scythed down Leipzig left-back Angelino and the referee changed his decision to a yellow card having initially shown a red.
Borussia Moenchengladbach warmed up for Tuesday’s Champions League game at home to Real Madrid with a 3-2 comeback win at Mainz.
Germany midfielder Lars Stindl gave Gladbach an early lead, but the visitors were 2-1 down at half-time after French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice for Mainz.
Gladbach midfielder Jonas Hofmann converted a penalty on 76 minutes before Matthias Ginter headed the winner as Gladbach climbed to fifth.
Union Berlin drew 1-1 at home against Freiburg as Vincenzo Grifo’s first-half goal was cancelled out two minutes later by Union midfielder Robert Andrich.
