Buffy S5E14, Crush:

As fucked up as Spike trying to force his feelings on Buffy was, and trying to force her to be open to the possibility of romance with him, I do really respect that he committed once his feelings were outed. He barely tried to pretend it wasn't true despite logically knowing Buffy would never go for it. And then he fully owned up to his feelings and expressed them very clearly (if not in a socially acceptable way, lol) and that's really hard!! You gotta appreciate him making the choice to not hide anything about his feelings even though we know he has a lot of issues with rejection.

Buffy's face upon being told that Spike is in love with her, I just can't. That 'huh?' is so iconic.

Is Crush the best episode of btvs? well, maybe not. But is it the most fun? I think it's right up there with the best.

I have never experienced more second hand embarrassment than with Spike in this chapter. and I feel like I should be more creeped out than I am by him having a literal shrine to Buffy, but I'm just... finding it hilarious? smh.
