Triplicate AU explanation

I can’t post any art today so y’all get this HEAVY WARNING FOR BIGSNAX SPOILERS, THIS AU EXISTS BECAUSE OF THEM. (one day I’ll write a full fic of this au, I even have a name in mind)

Let’s start with the Triplicate themselves! Now, this info might change over time as I’m not the only person writing this, the other writer being @grumpedia ---- The Triplicate is essentially our replacement for the Snakolytes, having been made before they were revealed. The Triplicate functions less like a standard cult and more like a company or a research facility. We try to compare it to the Lobotomy Corporation most often! There are those who are hired, those who are abducted, and those who were born in. The younger grumps raised in the company are raised in Units, these Units being: -Daisy (usually for those who were born in or are otherwise unresistant) -Meadow (those who display small amounts of resistance) -Sky (medium resistance) -Sunflower (high resistance or considered dangerous) -Rainbow (experiments) Once they’re old enough they’ll be moved to a job or department. These jobs/departments being: -Security -Hands -Scouts -Trainers -Counselors -Robotics Department -Information Department -Biology Department (Recently renamed to Bugsnak Research Department) These titles are managed by Heads, there are only 3 Heads in the Triplicate: -Q Lockthing, the Head of Biology -a currently unnamed Head of Robotics -0, the Central Head, Leader of the Triplicate Currently the Triplicate is working towards using Bugsnax as an energy source for a possible bioweapon, however the Lead Scientist, Patchrik Howlpin, has his own goals in mind. Now for how all this effects the main story! It doesn’t! Much! Our main story leads with Tamson Howlpin, the child of the Lead Scientist, originally raised within the Triplicate. They’re unaware of their connections, as a tragic event at age 16 had them forget everything. Their father managed to plead with the company that they could be pulled out with no complications, as they wouldn’t remember any company secrets. He pushed his child toward the job of Journalist so that he’d be watched over by the Lead of the Information department in case any memories began to arise in their adulthood. Eventually, as the story goes, Tamson gets the tape from Lizbert and goes to Snaktooth Island. This mostly goes the same as usual. Until right after Brokentooth. Rather than having to do a puzzle to get a key, after returning from Brokentooth, Tamson receives a letter from 0, instructing them to enter the Triplicate Space with a series of pin combinations at the bottom. Down there, they find a walkie-talkie, spewing static. When the static clears, they’re greeted by the voice of 0, who acts friendly towards the cautious (but excited) journalist. He guides Tamson through the rooms, reminding them to check the letter, telling them about how he’s been watching over them, and how he finds their desire for knowledge and their hunting prowess to be intriguing. Eventually they reach a room with a table, decorated with 3 items. -A picture of them with grumpuses they don’t recognize. -An all-too-familiar cloak. -And a file with their name on it, detailing their training, their experiments, their friendships, and the incident that made them forget everything. This forces them to break down and remember, and while they’re in that state, 0 asks them to rejoin the company- not as their father’s replacement- but as 0′s. Tamson rejects this offer, not wanting to return to the company that destroyed them. They destroy the walkie-talkie, steal the cloak, photo, and file and run back to town as fast as they can. From this point, the final party and the good ending of the game take place, with some obvious dialogue changes as Tamson confides in their closest friends about the Triplicate situation. And that’s the main story of the Triplicate au! This doesn’t cover specific members of the Triplicate, their stories, their roles, as it’s mostly an overview of the effect it has on the main plot. But those can be saved for their own posts.

Sometimes I look at people from fandom and go omg how do you have so many cool unique OCS for one thing.. And so many

Not like I have 23+ Deltarune OCS (more to come but theyve been concepts for months till other stuff is ready. From the top of my head there's at least 5-7 of them currently)

And, according to my toyhouse, ignoring the 2-3 unnamed unposted Grumpuses I have, I have 27 Grumpuses. If I say I have around 30-40 Grumpuses ever that's when I count some concepted ones and background characters in stories who don't even have art. Plus the unnamed Grumpuses I mentioned. Idk if some of them count they're just designs I got from a friend. 💀👍. +1 if you count porky who's a bugsnak.

my dystopian bugbo au (whole lotta text and rambling below)

copied directly from discord (with a few cleanups):

i was thinking like. imagine a dystopian bugbo au where like the bug war moved into bugland due to the war expanding and everything is destroyed and in shambles and thomas. being unaware having to stay in the lair for majority of her life and mt bobo being so isolated (i imagine the lair having soundproof walls so he cant hear anything outside) i like to imagine he's like. one of the only people surviving in the whole bug war going on in bugland. so with no hints of bugbo and his friends (they probably moved away to another continent in globe), thomas makes little mecha pals that are based off of said friend buddies. of course they cant rlly do anything since theyre mechanics like lack of personality but u get the jig. shes a bit lonely Ok let her have his fun

anyway conclusion of au thomas learns how to build mechanical beings for company while bugland tears down

i like to think this happened like months (around 3-5) after a familiar foe and thomas had time to relocate herself to mt. bobo and rebuild his lair + everything inside it + collect more materials soo yeah..!!

my au ..! it doesnt have a name yet (i will name it soon though do not worry all)
