I dont think im rewatching that shit anytime soon so im just gonna go ahead and rant rn
listen I didnt hate it it was just so utterly b o r i n g, give me the bells 10 times over this....
but well lets get into the positives first shall we
crap kskasksjk i cant think of any
well sansa’s queen so yay? the queen in the north scene is something i’ve wanted ever since i read affc and sansa started playing the game. also i liked that even w/o dany, even with her own brother as king, she would not give up the north’s independence, it showed that it was never meant to be a petty cat-fight, sansa really believed in the north’s right to sovereignty, and i think we can all respect that... cersei said it in s1, the north’s too big and too wild, and now it has bled too much, its people have seen too much, it can never belong to the crown again.
now arya....the more i think about it, the less i hate it. i said last week that if her endgame was her single and at the edge of the world, but she was happy and had left her bloodthirst and revenge behind her, i’d be happy. and she looked so so so happy and radiant and she was GLOWING so, I guess that’s it. Plus the fact that her ship was a direwolf and you could see stark banners everywhere tells us that she is not running away, not at all. she truly wants adventure i guess lmao. she’s still a stark, the daughter of the north, she has the blood of the wolf and I guess the direwolf ship was meant to signify that. plus whenever i read fix-it gendrya fics i picture her with a bun so that means thse fics are canon I guess what im trying to say is that I’m certain she’ll come back, she’s completely embracing her house and her identity as a stark, she just has other interests atm and wants to explore the world, but that doesnt mean she will never come back, and the wolves represented that.
to talk about EVERYTHING ELSE im gonna need a whole ass new post because it is all too tied in, these two are the only ones that i can discuss in a sort of vaccuum.
