I find WoW's treatment of trans characters infinitely hilarious. We have:

a dragon that blizzard accidentally gave a masculine (by dragon standards) deadname and a decade later went "you know what? fuck it, she's trans"

Some Guy who barely did anything in the story, then became God

a dragon whose transition we got to watch in real time, who got told "now pick a human form" and went "you can PICK THAT? :0 Okay I'm a he now" and all the other dragons went "godspeed king"

The contrast between how Cindre talks about the Horde and Zury talks about the Alliance is SO INTERESTING to me

Cindrethresh is focusing on the Horde as a people, on what it’s come to stand for. She acknowledges their lack of discipline and the way that it’s not a detriment because they’re held together by something more. And she thinks that great.

Azurathel focused on the Alliance’s capabilities. He mentions their lack of discipline and clings to it, talking about their potential and about helping them improve. He’s (very understandably so) so deep in his soldier mindset.

I also just think that these two are a really good example of the difference in vibes between the Horde and the Alliance (and of why I prefer the Horde. There’s something so much more easily relatable as a queer person about “a collection of misfits and outcasts” held together by a shared desire)
