Name: Cirque Asadie

Age: 7.5 Sweeps

Theme/Story: Cirque is a purple-blood being urged into her caste role with much force. But she often ignores what others see as ‘proper standard’ for Purplebloods. A lot of the time she is content with going by her own flow, and hope for the best. (She likes the clown themes, tho)

Review Goals: General overview and character tips!

So…I have character tips, but they’re not the type of tip that can be implemented by going line by line with this profile? Certainly, there are things I like about Cirque (especially the qu!rk! OR SHOULD I SAY QU!RQUE), but purplebloods need to be handled a little differently than other castes. To illustrate, let me pull up all of the purplebloods we have seen so far:

Once upon a time, Andrew Hussie said that not all purplebloods were juggalos, and as always Andrew Hussie turned out to be a fuckin liar.

My point is that all purplebloods are clowns, and as such your theme cannot just be “clown but improper about it” because that’s all of them. Most of these trolls could have a trolltag of jovialJester or a pun modus or Land of Mirth and Misdirection because they are all fundamentally clowns.

So what I really want you to meditate on and touch base about is what is Cirque’s specific deal apart from not liking to use chucklevoodoos?

To go down the line here, we have Gamzee, whose Deal is that he stays doped up and upon getting sober proceeds to become a horrific murderer. In this respect he’s actually weirdly flat for a purpleblood? We find out that the religion he’s so fanatical about is actually pretty standard for everyone else in clurch (clown church), so his personality is basically “murderer self-sedating with drugs.”

Chahut’s Deal is that she’s a young troll preacher who is scheduled to be exiled in a couple weeks, so she doesn’t make attachments with others. She also helps another troll collect blood for paint, and carries an axe around with her either to decapitate the hunted or to sacrifice others in clown church.

Marvus’s Deal is that he is an adult with a rap career who also understands the metanarrative flow of Friendsim. This is reflected in his quirk (which is almost unbearably casual) and in his route (which mostly rips friendsim from its foundations to get you to question the very concept of “canon”).

Barzum and Baizli’s Deal is that they’re twins and creepy as all fuck and embody every horror stereotype you could think of.

Karako’s Deal is that he is my adopted son and I love him very much.

All of this to say: your profile is a very good start for a clown-themed troll, but what sets Cirque apart from the other juggalos? What makes her story specifically an interesting one to watch out for?

Fetch Modus: Humor Modus, she needs to make a joke/pun about the object to recive it.

Symbol and Meaning: Capriun, Sign of the Cartographer.

Special Abilities: Chucklevoodos that she ignores the usage of.

Lusus/Guardian: Giant Ottermom, with the addition of huge fangs that are visible

Interests: Cirque enjoys theatrics and really bad puns, she loves making people laugh if she tries. She attempts to have many interests, tried gardening and failed. She has recently taken up piano, also owns a gitaur.

Personality: Cirque is the “looks-like-she-could-cull-you-but-is-actually-a-cinnamon-roll” type. To elaborate, she has an intimidating appearance, with the fangs, 5'6" height and just being a purple, to some, thats a little intimidating. (clownphobia, anyone?). Inside that perhaps intimidating exterior is a rather friendly troll who just wants a bit of company, outside her own caste.

Land: Currently, Land of Mirth and Misdirection. Subject to change. (Thats all!)
