After leaving Iswa Nature Preserve, I drove on Wilkinson Boulevard over the Catawba River and landed on the other side at Kevin Loftin Riverfront Park in Belmont. Same river, opposite side. Just before entering Goat Island, I hiked the brand-new River Link Greenway which is located adjacent to Goat Island Park. Actually it's really more of an extension of the park itself. The 0.7 mile trail runs parallel with more of a wetlands section of South Fork River.
