         ❝  HE KEEPS IT SO FUCKING COLD IN THERE.  i’m pretty sure he killed his own stupid cactus in the window.  ❞  ness rolls her eyes and slams her locker closed.  as if she needed another reason to hate mr. mundy and his damn MATH CLASS.  math already makes her want to pull her hair out and drop out of school on the spot.  having a know-it-all asshole of a teacher who was apparently an antarctic penguin in a past life only frustrates her more.  she’s so ... good at all of her other classes that it pisses her off to no end that math is such a challenge.  she’d feel guilty about going off at random in front of anyone else other than billy.  if he wants to keep hanging around then listening to her complain is just a consequence of that.
         his unexpected offer stops her in her tracks.  she doesn’t believe him, just stares at him blankly until he actually takes his jacket off and holds it out to her.  there’s a part of her that expects him to just snatch it away and laugh at her when she reaches for it ... but he doesn’t.  it’s warm, and ... feels a lot nicer than she wants it to.  she ducks her head, tries to stop thinking about how long the sleeves are on her or how it smells like him, because her face feels hot and she doesn’t want billy getting the wrong idea.  even if she isn’t sure if it really would be wrong.

The Other Diplomat Kid
Summary: Sam Williams goes to Paris when their dad temporarily takes over the title of diplomat to get away from their grandfather. They end up meeting a girl everyone in the diplomat circle knows is a liar.
Notes: Sam Williams is from a book I am writing where Sam discovers their identity and ends up rebelling against their grandfather. Their dad ISN’T a diplomat but like given this idea bit me... here.

 Sam Williams walked into the school carrying their camera and bag, feeling nervous. Getting out of Canada and away from their grandfather was great. Even if it was just for a few months. But France was… different. Didn’t help they spoke Quebec French rather than French-French.
 “Oh, hello.” A pretty girl with dark hair in pigtails smiled at her. “Are you new?”
 “Uh yeah. I’m Sam? I’m just here for a few months… I’m in… Mlle. Bustier’s class?” Sam said.
 “Oh! I’m in her class to. C’mon I’ll show you the way.” Sam grinned. That was good. They followed the girl to the classroom, feeling relieved they had found someone who was in their class. “I’m Marinette.” 
 “Nice to meet you. Oh umm… I use they/them so you know.” Sam said awkwardly. Marinette nodded her understanding and Sam felt relief as Marinette directed them to the class. Once there the teacher smiled.
 “Oh, you must be… Samantha?”
 “Sam.” Sam corrected. The teacher nodded as she thanked Marinette as Sam turned to face the class only to frown. “Liar Rossi?” 
 “Sam!” The teacher said in shock while everyone gasped.
 “Did Marinette tell you that?” Demanded Lila Rossi. Sam stared for a long moment.
 “... you really don’t recognize me? My dad used to be the diplomat from Canada? You are literally called Liar Rossi by every single child in the diplomatic circle? Cause you are one?” 
 “... Samantha Williams?” Lila gasped.
 “It’s Sam. And yeah- if she’s been saying anything there’s like a ninety percent chance it’s a lie. She’s well known for it. Her mom doesn’t believe it but I think her dad does. Isn’t he in like the USA now? I thought he yanked you out of public school after you bullied that girl and was caught on tape pushing her down the stairs.” Sam took out their phone and waved it. “One Google search and we can find it.”
 “That was another diplomats daughter! I was framed!” Lila sobbed.
 “Yeah well, I don’t believe you.” Sam snorted and shook their head. “I’m Sam by the way. I’m nonbinary, I like photography and I refuse to sit next to Liar Rossi.” 
 “Sam please-“ the teacher began but Sam refused to sit near the girl. Marinette looked secretly pleased which made Sam like her. She seemed to have a good head on her shoulders.
 At lunch, a girl with ombré hair confronted her with some of the class.
 “Lila said you were the one to-“
 “Frame her? Yeah. Okay- it was in England when I was still in Canada but sure I did it.” Sam said sarcastically. “Did you look it up at all?” 
 “I did and-“
 “It wasn’t Sam.” A voice said. A black kid with glasses had spoken. “I double-checked. Paul Williams was not in England at the time. He wasn’t even a diplomat then. He had… sort of retired from my understanding?”
 “My grandfather had a heart attack and dad had to come home,” Sam replied. “I’m here with my dad cause he’s filling in while John- the other diplomat- is back in Canada while his father is dying of cancer. Mostly to get away from my homophobic grandfather so yeah.” Sam shrugged. The girl in front of them looked uncomfortable.
 “Well, what’s your proof she’s lying?”
 “Other than experience? What is she claiming?”
 “She knows Prince Ali.” The girl replied. “She helped him with his pollution charity and stayed st his palace a month or so back with him. She also said she met him at a ball.”
 “Lie. Prince Ali is focusing on orphans and children homes right now. Also, he hasn’t been in his home country in a year. Plus we don’t do balls. We do stupid dinners. I went to one where Prince Ali was at but I didn’t get within fifteen feet of him.” Sam shook their head. “Look it up. I’ll wait.” A small blonde girl did along with a goth girl. She gasped.
 “She’s right.” The blonde choked. 
 “Next lie… whoever you are. None of you gave me your names.”
 “Alya.” The ombré girl said. “She knows Jagged Stone! She got tinnitus from saving his cat from a runway!”
 “... I’ll admit I’m not that into celebrity gossip… but…” Sam pulled out their phone. They typed it in and then pulled up an article. “Hmm… ah. Jagged Stone has gone on record saying he hates cats ever since he was six and his grandmother's cat scratched his wrist and nearly killed him… wait…” Sam clicked another article then blinked. Alya looked eager but Sam gave her a look. “That Marinette girl made his glasses and CD case and was on a TV show with him? This legit says he thinks of her as a niece? I assume form a comment earlier she’s said Liar Rossi is a liar? And you believed Rossi? What kind of friends are you?” Alya went pink while others slowly took out their phones.
 “She knows producers and rockstars?”
 “Bullshit. How? As the kid of a diplomat the chances of her running into them are better than most yes but who exactly does she claim to know?” Listening to the list Sam shook their head. “None of them are politically active or have been to any diplomatic dinners or meetings. Look it up.” 
 They did. All except Alya. The little blonde was looking so upset while the goth looked somewhat murderous. The black boy looked upset and a little shocked, while a tall Asian kid looked mad. A short girl looked even madder while a big guy with a skull on his shirt, a small girl with a bandana and a redhead all looked exhausted and sad. The boy next to Alya, one with a cap, looked nervous.
 “She knows Ladybug.” Alya hissed.
 “... who?” Sam asked, confused. Alya stared. “What? Some local celebrity? I’m from Canada.”
 “No!!! She’s a superhero!” Alya said. Sam stared. Then pulled out their phone, only to find a text from their dad. Apparently, superheroes were real, Akumas targeted negative emotions oh and the mayor was bribing people.
 “Ah. Apparently, the mayor was squashing that.” Sam said. Then they turned to the class.“Question- when did Ladybug first appear or where anyway?”
 “Here in Paris- about a year or so ago.” Answered the small blonde. “I’m Rose by the way.”
 “Thank you Rose. Nice to meet you. Now… when did Lila show up?”
 “Four months ago?” Sam nodded slowly at that answer.
 “So… how the hell could she know her if she was in Italy before that?” That froze Alya.
 “... she uhh…”
 “You don’t have an answer,” Sam replies, looking up Ladybug and… oh. “Wow. You posted it to your blog without even thinking about that? Nice tabloid reporting there Lois Lane.”
“Hey!” The cap boy said. “Not cool!”
 “What? I’m calling her out? Look better it’s me than an actual like boss or someone suing her cause she doesn’t fact check. None of you do. Now if you excuse me. I’m going to go and take photos. I told my friends I would.” Sam left the class, the Alya girl clinging to her beliefs.
 They’d always secretly believed in magic thanks to Rossi. After all- the bullshit she said that made people believe her had to be magical. 
 “Williams.” Sneered a voice. Same sighed as they took out their camera.
 “Liar.” They said calmly as they snapped some photos of the courtyard. 
 “Stop calling me that.”
 “Stop lying. I already told the class to look things up. Good luck convincing them now.” Rossi scowled darkly then smirked. Sam ignored her, pulling out their phone to pretend to text but really putting on their recording app.
 “You think you’re so clever Samantha.” Rossi sneered. “You flounce in here, pretending to be this nonbinary and-“
 “Okay whoa no. Fuck you very much.” Sam said. “I am nonbinary.” Rossi scoffed.
 “Sure.” She sneered. “You come in here and think you can get my little pack of fools to believe you? Please. I just tell them what they want to hear and they listen. Won’t take long to say you’re the liar who hacked the websites.”
 “Mhmm. And Marinette? Who knows Jagged Stone? I mean I had to remind them but there are pictures of her with him and Adrien.” Rossi flushed, eyes widening. “Wow, you didn’t know?”
 “Shut up Williams. Most people would brag. One messed up lie won’t hurt.” Snapped Rossi.
 “Admitting you’re a liar, Liar Rossi?”
 “It’s LILA Rossi.” Snarled the girl. “And I don’t see anything wrong with a few stories. These idiots will believe anything.”
 “I could see that. All of your stories are so stupid I just wanted to sigh. I mean- That Marinette girl actually knows Jagged Stone. How the hell did they not think to ask her?”
 “She’s ridiculous. Pretending to be so humble and shy and oh she couldn’t brag about it.” Lila sneered. Sam hummed, taking more photos. “Pay attention to me!”
 “Why? Are you going to threaten me? How will you? With my reputation? I’m only here for a few months. Something outside of school? I have email trails, multiple character witnesses of your bullshit, and my dad to back me up. With school itself? Try to get me expelled and my dad comes in again and the same thing happens all over again. You have no power over me. You’re just a pathetic child who gets joy out of bullying and manipulating others.” Sam told Lila. An ugly look crossed her face.
 “I have connections now. Like a certain… villain.” Sam deadpanned.
 “Are you legit telling me you’re working with Hawkmoth? That’s like the worst lie in the world.” Lila scowled.
 “It’s not a lie. I have connections to him. He’s asked for my help a few times and I’m sure he’d love to help mess with your life.” Lila sneered. “My mother also has connections to the mayor.”
 “Oh, she’s accepting the bribes?” Sam asked. Lila blinked.
 “How did you know about that…”
 “Well, mostly it’s cause my dad was also bribed? Or the guy tried. I’m fairly certain my dad is going to… Interpol? Or whatever it is in France. Higher than the police force cause who knows who is in his pocket.” Sam grinned at Lila. “Guess your mom will be answering for that! And your lies crashing down! Enjoy your last few weeks here!” Sam left as Lila stared, open mouth after them. They headed to the cafeteria to grab a cheese bun, noticing a blonde kid they thought…
 “Huh.” Sam blinked, kind of recognizing him. “Cool.” 
 “... you don’t know me?”
 “I know you’re a model but like I don’t know your name and I don’t care,” Sam said. “... are you going to confront me about Liar to?”
 “I’m Adrien and… well, it’s not going to make her a better person if you do it.” He pointed out.
 “You’re assuming she wants to be,” Sam told him. He looked confused. “Look- Adrien- there’s a difference between someone not knowing better and someone who does but does it anyway. Lila knows better. She knows what she’s doing. She knows exactly what she’s doing and she doesn’t care about the harm she causes.”
 “What harm?” Adrien asked in confusion. Sam raised an eyebrow.
 “What harm? You’re not that dumb, are you? Lila lying to people hurts them because either a- She promises things she can’t do which could hurt their chances. Like… I heard about this from the son of the Greek diplomat but like she told this girl she could get her an in with a music producer. This girl kept passing up opportunities for her cause she trusted Lila. When it all came out the girl was so hurt… that’s harm.” Sam told him. “Also- She bullies people who don’t believe her lies and tries to call them out. There’s been so much evidence that bullying leaves mental scarring and it’s not just something you can brush under the rug. It can cause long term effects. Lila isn’t a good person. And she either never will or she needs to be punished to change. People don’t change just because someone was nice- or at least not people like Lila. They change when they are shown their lives will suck so much if they don’t.” 
 “... but that’s not how it happens…” Adrien looked confused and Sam stopped. They were reminded of their friend Marcus’ little sister before the real world got her. She’d been homeschooled by Marcus’ stepmother because Kyoko had wanted her daughter to be bilingual and their hometown didn’t have any place for her to speak solely in Japanese often. She had been very naive…
 “If you’re talking about anime or TV it’s because people have an idealistic view of the world. Or they want to pretend it’s like that. Sure being nice and kind can change people. But the fact is that it’s not a hundred percent likely all the time.” Sam told him. “I know a kid who hated the people who stood by and did nothing when their bullies hurt them more than anything. Because it was them saying I believe you deserve it. I believe them over you. Standing up is the only way to deal with bullies.”
 “... but…” the boy hesitated. “Tabloids…”
 “Ah.” Sam nodded. “That’s different... what’s your last name?” Upon receiving it they pulled up news articles. “Alright, latest lie was that your dad was forcing models to sleep with him.” Adrien choked as Sam flicked through the articles. “Disproven but they did have to launch an investigation into his business due to the allegations.” Adrien blinked, looking shocked. “Oh and one about you sleeping with a girl and getting her pregnant.”
 “WhAt?” Adrien said, his voice cracking in the middle. Sam laughed.
 “Yeah. That one was ignored and when the baby was born your dad went and had a paternity test done. You’re good.” Sam showed him the article and Adrien looked stressed. “Look, I get that you feel like not reacting is best but with people like Lila is it better to step in. She won’t stop. Look at something similar that happened to you with Jagged Stone- I don’t pay attention to gossip and I heard about it. Some fan kept claiming that it was his child she had and she refused to take no and kept lying and lying until she was sued for millions. Some people don’t stop.”
 “...I want to give people second chances.” Adrien said, looking like he was about to put his back up.
 “When did I say you couldn’t? Sure, give them a second chance. But as soon as they ignore it or go back to their normal way of being that chance is done. All it’s doing is being an enabler. Or even a bully yourself if you let a bully get away with things.” Adrien looked pensive at that, and Sam left him to his thoughts to go and photograph more of the school before it was time for class. Lila was glaring at Sam who ignored her as they looked at the photos they had taken. A few of the classmates entered the room with Marinette who looked happy and relaxed. Lila stood up to go to them but they all glared, except Alya who was on her phone. Sam idly pulled out their phone only to snort.
 Oops, they’d continued recording. Turning it off, they typed out a message to their dad before sending it and the recording to him. Sam watched as Lila checked her phone and then began dramatically crying.
 “You and your dad are trying to get my mom in trouble for no reason!” she sobbed, pointing at Sam who snorted as their own message came.
 “Uhuh, sure. By the way thanks to confessing you know your mom takes bribes while I was recording our conversation. My dad says that it’ll be the best thing to give to the investigation.”
 “YOU WERE RECORDING US?!” Lila shouted in horror. Alya, who had been comforting her froze.
 “Yep!” Sam smiled and then went back to fiddling with their phone.
 “YOU BITCH!” Lila screamed, running up to jump at Sam who dove away. “I AM GOING TO RUIN YOU!”
 “You ruined yourself! Thanks for confessing to lying and mentioning you work willingly with a supervillain! Pretty sure that was a lie but thanks! You’re finished!” Sam snapped back, feeling incredibly annoyed. Lila growled in anger and then her gaze snapped to the window where a butterfly was. Sam suddenly knew what this was from their research. They grabbed a ruler from a desk and jumped, glad for their height as they managed to get the butterfly before Lila did. “You don’t get the satisfaction of beating the crap out of me.” snarled Sam.
 Hmm… you managed to fight her off. But… Sam ignored Hawkmoth, reaching deep inside themself to pull on their feelings of anger and exhaustion at being considered a she, at their grandfather for trying to control their life, at people for not understanding… Well then, Milewalk, will you help me?
 “Sure.” Sam grinned. Maybe this would be a little fun.
 And they’d get to smack Lila around so win-win.

Random thought: Lila’s mom has to know the truth about Ladybug and Chat Noir cause I doubt her coworkers keep their mouths shut. But that’s not the point.
Anyway, so yeah. Sam becomes Milewalk in which they stomp around Paris and have people ‘walk a mile in their shoes’ by making people feel every scrap of fear and hurt or the feeling of being hated for no reason. Basically if you’re an asshole you feel what it would be like to be your victim. If you harass someone you feel like you’re being harassed.
 Milewalk does get Chat Noir and a few others which changes a LOT in this world but like I was: How do you write fights? How do I write Akuma? So here.
 Also the big about bribes is mostly me going: Does the rest of the world no? Why is no one else from outside Paris knowing? So yeah bribery probably. And that’s done. Oops.

Just another names survey, because there’s nothing like looking back at everyone you’ve ever met at 11:28 AM.
Do you know anyone with these names?
Sara: I know a Sarah from my college. She’s kind of a friend-ish? Like I’d say hi to her if we pass each other in the building but I wouldn’t get lunch with her or send her a meme. She also goes by Chloe, her second name. Gabby: Pretty common name. My girlfriend is a Gabie and I had another high school batchmate named Gaby; I also had an old friend from the wrestling fandom whose name is Gabbie. The last Gabbie also goes to UP but I’ve never met nor seen her in the four years I’ve studied there, which is still such a weird thing to me. Rochelle: My Language teacher (it’s basically a subject that taught us English grammar) in the 5th grade was a Rochelle and she was a massive bitch. She is the manifestation of small and cute but terrible, and she didn’t like me and made sure I knew it. I’m glad she aged terribly in the last few years. Alexis: Apparently my Uncle Alex’s full name is Alexis, but I didn’t know until today when I read the obituary for my grand aunt who had just passed. Aurora Summer: I have an orgmate/coursemate named Summer. She’s nice but I think she’s a little lazy and doesn’t make a good co-worker in projects.
Peyton Bianca: Also a common name, but it’s a pretty middle-class/white girl name too. I knew lots of Biancas from high school and all of them are studying in the more expensive university just beside ours. Jordan Eliana: I don’t know Elianas but close enough -  we have a current applicant for our org named Liana. Liberty: Eh, noun names like this one aren’t too common at all where I live. Meadow Cheyenne Acacia: Nah. The only Acacia I know is the name of one of the many dorms inside campus. Laurice and Jo used to live in Acacia but their applications got denied this year.  Erica: I used to ride the bus with an Ericka but it’s all very hazy - I was only in Grade 1 and I think she moved schools not long after, so I don’t have a lot of memories of her. I had a high school batchmate named Erycka but I never liked her either - just seemed too uppity and had a bit of an attitude for no reason. She used to be Gabie’s friend so when the two would hang out I would fuck off so that I didn’t have to deal with her loud ass. Chantell Shawna: Gabie has a coursemate(?) named Shauna. I don’t know her and I dunno if I’ve met her. I think I have, but I never talked to her. Suzy Maria: I can confidently tell you a good 70% of Filipino girls/women have Maria as their first names. No one uses it as their main name though; it’s usually just given to complement second names. Gretchen: Eh, I know a couple of popular personalities with this name but no one personal. Isabella: I have a second cousin named Isabella but I’ve never gotten to form a relationship with her because she was born and is being raised in Australia. Isabela is also the name of one of Gab’s sisters.
Skye: Someone I went to high school with has a kid nicknamed Sky... Skylar: ...because the kid’s whole name is Skyller. Cecily Paige: Nope but this did remind of the WWE wrestler Paige. Autumn Arielle: I went to grade school with an Aerielle. We lost touch for a bit when she had to drop out for a bit and ultimately moved schools, but we’ve since reconnected ever since she got into UP. She’s taking up journalism too. Brianna: Callo’s third name is Brianna. Her chaotic behavior on social media had pissed me off in the last few months so I cut ties with her. A little sad considering how incredibly close we were in high school, but I just have to remember how annoying she’s been and I feel ok again. Cassandra: I used to go to school with a Cassandra but she moved when we started the 1st grade, so I never actually got to talk or be close to her. Like Aerielle, it turns out she’s also in UP now and she’s in the football varsity too. I see her sometimes but given that we’ve never talked, the most we’ve given each other is a look of recognition of being in preschool together lmao. We also had a batchmate named Kassandra but she lives in Singapore now. Small, sweet, and just the nicest girl. Cassidy Sierra: Aya’s second name is Ciara, which is pretty close. Some of us say it similarly to Sierra, and others pronounce it as Sha-ra, so it varies. Cheri Shariah Savannah Greta: My sister had a batchmate named Greta and I remember her mostly because she’s the daughter of my high school’s old theatre manager/director/I never actually found out what his position was called, but basically he used to produce all of our school productions. Leandra Lauren: I went to grade school and high school with a Lauren. We were close as kids but she changed crowds in like the 6th or 7th grade and we lost touch from there. Austin Samantha: Lots of Samanthas were I’m from; it’s a fairly common middle-class name. I used to be best friends with a Sam; I had a high school batchmate named Sam; I knew someone a high school batch higher with the name; and I also currently go to college with a Sam. OH and I also have a cousin with this name hahahaha. She lives in New York but she visited the Philippines a couple of years ago and I was able to spend time with her then. Shayne: My sister’s kindergarten teacher was a Shane and all I remember is that she was really nice and motherly to my sister who did nothing in school but cry because she had bad separation anxiety. Seth: I have a cousin named Seth, but he lives in New York and I’ve never seen him. He’s the younger brother of my cousin Sam. Scott Ryan: I have a uncle with this name but I haven’t seen him since I was a little girl. He used to live with one of my aunts but I think he has since moved back to our home province. Maverick: One of our org’s alumni is a Maverick but he goes by Mawel. I’ve always thought he was intimidating so I’ve never approached nor talked to him. Dylan: My sister had a batchmated named Dylan which I think is a badass name for a girl. Anna: I had several former teachers named Anna. Two of them taught AP (social studies) and another taught us algebra. Katie: I will sometimes call Kate this, but I dunno anyone who legit goes by Katie. Jessica: Went to high school with one. Was always too boisterous and a little fake for me. She also loved to surround herself with boys as early as when we were 13 and while that’s never wrong I just never vibed with people like her. Lydia: I don’t know anyone with this name but this did remind me of the Breaking Bad character who was always a little bit annoying. Ellery Dakota Epiphany Galaxy Ariana: I think Yumi’s sister is an Ariana, but I’ll never know for sure because she always just calls her Ari. Gabriella: My girlfriend is a Gabriela. Rachel: My math teacher in Grade 1 was Ms. Rachel. I don’t have an opinion on her but I remember one time when our class was too noisy, she got way too pissed off and she spent the entire 45-minute period doing sign language to us to be petty. I never did like her after that. Amy: I go to college with an Aimee but I never get to see her on campus because her whole person screams Ateneo. I have no idea why she just didn’t enroll over there instead looooool, her boyfriend and all her friends are there and she’s always hanging out at their campus it’s so weird. My late grand-aunt Amet was also called Amy by some of her peers. Marissa: This is the second name of Kayla, someone I go to college with. Her schedule is weird though because she went on exchange in Canada two sems ago and she’s supposed to have been back a long time now, but I haven’t seen her at all. I have no idea if she’s still even in Canada or is back in the PH now and is just keeping her whereabouts on the down low. Taylor Rebecca: One of Rita’s older sister is named Rebecca but she goes by Becca. She graduated from my college last year, so I’m pretty familiar with her. We’re not close but I’ve encountered her a few times before and she’s reeeeally pretty and nice. The few times we’ve crashed at Rita’s place she had always greeted us out of familiarity from seeing us in our college building. Ashley: I had an STS class with an Ashley but I didn’t get to know her all that much. Allison: I used to have an instructor named Allison but I think she only taught so she could have extra cash because she’s also taking up her Master’s in the same college, so she wasn’t that good of a teacher. Madison Abigail: My mom is named Abigail. Zachary: I have a cousin named Zachary but he mainly goes by James. Gabriel: Yep I have an orgmate with this name but we call him Gab. He’s...a bit of a character. Either you can tolerate his presence or you find him plain annoying. Used to play his music LOUD in Skywalk which annoyed the hell out of everybody. I’m still not sure what to feel about him so I just give him a nod when we see each other. Mitchell Joe: I have a friend named Jo but she’s a girl. I don’t think I know any guys named Joe. Corey Shawn: I know a friend of some of my friends is named Sean but we’ve never encountered each other. He’s into broadcasting and has done hosting gigs and I think he’s a junior jock in one of the local radio stations as well. Carly: Carley was my old internet best friend. We first found each other because we were huuuuge Stephanie McMahon fans on Tumblr a decade ago and we’d do edits and read fanfic and reblog photos of her, so a really close friendship blossomed from there. She had a rough life those days with a bit of an abusive mom (who has since passed) and I’d video chat her in the afternoon when I’d come home from school (by then she was preparing for school, since she’s from the US). After a while her schedule turned weird and she’d be offline for months at a time only to resurface for like two days then disappear again. She did this for like 3-4 years until I got tired and just stopped talking to her. She’s still my Facebook friend and she shares a lot of memes, but that’s all to it now. Carmen: I went to school with someone who had a very lengthy name and one of her names was Carmen, but she goes by Pam because she also has a Pamela in her name. She does streetdance and I was classmates with her once but we never really got to talk. Melissa: Eh, sure. Someone from high school. Lazy ass. Stephanie: The only IRL Stephanie I know is this girl who’s supposed to be enrolled this sem and is supposedly a classmate of mine in several classes, but never showed up from January through March. And now the lockdown hasn’t helped her case either. Shannon Selena: I have a cousin with this name but it’s spelled Selina. Also she goes by Bia because her other name is Bianca. Christine: Fairly common name. I know lots of Christines/Christina but I’m only close with one, who’s my orgmate and is the VP for Membership for the org, aka she’s the one in charge of recruiting new applicants for the two sems that she’s in charge of the committee. Paula: I went to grade school and high school with a Paula. She was SO painfully shy and quiet but friendly. She studies in Ateneo now but I wouldn’t know if she’s gotten extroverted in the last few years. Harmony Serenity Tessa: My prof in PR was Ma’am Tessa. One of the nicest, softest people ever who’s always down for anything. I think she’s in her 70s now but she’s definitely still kicking and doesn’t miss a single basketball and volleyball game during UAAP season. Claire: One of my very first guidance counselors was Ms. Claire. I remember her being motherly and she was also the counselor that intervened when I had a fight with one student in third grade that was big enough for both of us to land in the guidance office heh. Ruby Rhiannon Harper Riley Brandon Brayden Mystery Noelle: I vaguely remember going to school with a Noelle in kinder but she only stuck around the school for 1-2 years so I have no memories of her whatsoever. Destiny Darcy Dianne: Went to kinder, grade school, and high school with a Dianne. She was quiet for most of the years but she had a really blooming glow-up in high school, where she was part of the popular clique. Super smart and she’s now in business school in UP; also a terrific dancer. Felicity Grace: I have a grand-aunt named Grace. She’s very sweet and funny and is doting towards her grandkids and her grandnieces and nephews, but she and her sisters have notorious track records in the family for having a bit of an attitude and/or for making scenes, and she’s the pettiest of them all given that she’s the youngest. Despite that, all in all I have a soft spot for her. Hannah: One of my best friends in UP. We first met when she and Macy (my old high school friend) transferred to UPD from UPLB, but in the end Hannah and I ended up becoming closer friends because Macy has since struggled to adjust to the transfer and has pushed people away in the process, including me. ANYWAY I’m glad I was introduced to Hannah because she’s one of the most hilarious people I’ve ever met. She’s also insanely talented and a hell of a performer. I’ll miss her the most when I have to graduate. Kayla: That girl who went on an exchange program in Canada that I mentioned earlier mainly goes by Kayla. I remember her notably because she’s the first EVER person I talked to when I got officially enrolled in UP - we were seated together in the welcoming assembly for freshies back in 2016. It was nothing more than a random encounter though and we didn’t end up becoming close after that. Liam: My cousin Seth is also named Liam. Morgan Natasha: I went to school with a Natasha but we all called her Tashie. She had a bit of a larger build than the rest of us which made her look domineering, but she’s really nice and is a big softie if you get to know her. She posts workout videos from time to time and has since lost a lot of weight in college. Nathan Olivia: My future daughter loljk Bailey Emily Amanda: I have an orgmate named Amanda. She’s mostly shy and reserved and I haven’t really gotten the chance to know her since she’s quiet and always has to head home earlier than the rest of us. Addison Adrienne: An old classmate from high school has had her third kid that she named Adrienne. Molly Siona: I don’t know Sionas but I do know a Fiona, heh. Emerald Chelsea: Yeah Chelsea was one of my close friends in high school. We don’t talk these days but we’ll sometimes react on each other’s posts on Twitter or Facebook which is enough for me. We used to have parties and drinking sessions at her family’s gazebo behind her house, so even though we’ve mostly lost touch I’ll always have fond memories of her. Naomi Bethany: A very very very VERY old mutual on Tumblr had this name but we mostly called her Beth. She lives in the UK and I remember her being a CM Punk fan. Had unique eyebrows but was super pretty and she used to post webcam selfies all the time. Brittany Hope: Someone I went to kindergarten with had Hope as a middle name but she went by Maezelle. Super blurry memories of her as we were never close, but I remember her specifically for her teeth lmao - she had some cavities as a kid so she had a bunch of silver teeth. OK just checked Facebook and it turns out she lives in California now, as do most of my batchmates who migrated to the States as kids. Joy: I know several people who have Joy as a middle name but don’t go by it, like high school batchmates named AJ and CJ. Jade Aaron: Old friend from high school. Like Chelsea, he was a part of our friend group. He studies in UP too and we’ll say hi and hug when we see each other, but we aren’t personally close. Andrew: Coursemate, classmate, orgmate, groupmate in several projects, and now my thesis partner. At first I found him annoying and a bit too invasive and extroverted for my liking, but I gave him a chance and he’s turned out to be a really amazing, loyal, supportive friend. He’s an extremely talented writer, singer, performer, host, and radio jock. Wimpy drinker though haaaah. James: I have a cousin named James. He lives with his family in Vietnam and since his dad is from New Zealand, he’s picked up a bit of an accent as well. Jonathon Zachariah Malachi Victoria: I had a classmate in a polsci elective with this name, but I called her Jillian during that time cos it’s her first name. Judging from social media posts, she mainly goes by JV. Solomon Sorin Celia Heather: Went to high school with a Heather and is actually attending the same course as Jillian ^ in UP now. We were quite close in high school and she used to confide in me about relationship issues, back when she was seeing someone who had plans of transitioning. Heather’s parents were very strict against the idea and went to great lengths to forbid her from seeing him, so yeah that’s what she would rant to me late into the night about. We also bonded over One Direction and Joe Sugg for a time, and those days were a blast. She also got me to be in a Twitter DM thread with Caspar Lee for my 16th birthday which was a HELLUVA SURPRISE lmao. I’ve never forgotten those days with her and I’ll always remember her fondly even though we never talk anymore. Ivy: My prof in feature writing was named Ivy. She’s... a meh instructor at best. She loved telling HER stories and HER experiences and narrating HER interviews with famous people, politicians, celebrities, athletes, etc. but she left a few lessons behind which is really what we all enrolled for lmao, so I didn’t really learn anything from her class. Jasmine: Someone I went to high school with. She was into K-Pop, J-Pop, and anime back then and I think she still is. We were always good friends towards each other even though we were never close close. She’s taking up linguistics in UP now. Jasper Kaylee Anica: An instructor from the broadcast communication department in my college. Nothing much to say about her except she weirdly tags along with one of the other professors ALL THE TIME TO EVERYWHERE, including the washroom. I’m definitely not judging but yeah, it’s what I notice first when I think of her.

hi babes! i’ve been so excited for this group to open so i could bring my absolute awful trash princess to life.  she’s a total sasshole & is basically the product of money and a ton of trauma. a good fourteen years of her life were spent in the middle of a bitter divorce battle between her parents. her father was an exec for a record label, and her mom was a former model who seemed to know where every single skeleton in her ex-husband’s closet was located. that fact alone kept hefty alimony payments sent her way, and a blood feud between them that seemed never ending.
half the time, emmaline felt more like a pawn in their games rather than their actual daughter. any time spent with either of her parents would always wind up the same way: they’d grill her for information about the other, and create some sort of horrific narrative of them that emmaline was far too young to hear. fortunately, she spent more time with nannies and other employees of her parents’ than them, and whenever she’d question it, they’d just shower her in opulence any child would wish upon stars for. she knew nothing but being rewarded for venom and toxicity for much of her life, and the bulk of her behavior began to reflect the things she witnessed.
she constantly acted out in school; taking things from other children because she felt she was entitled to them, trying to embarrass any teacher who gave her a bad grade, her demeanor only growing colder as she aged. her parents didn’t do much to correct it, they’d only give her more presents to keep her quiet. as unfazed as she appeared to be, the fact that her parents didn’t seem to care about being around her or getting to know her was deeply hurtful. she figured if she had to feel that way, why not spread the misery around? of course it wasn’t the right thing to do, but the very people who were supposed to set an example did nothing but tear each other down. and she was nothing if not her parents daughter.

thought you were bae, turns out you were just fam - a relationship that actually ended amicably for emmaline? the fuck you say. no, it really did happen, and they’re still pretty cool with each other to this day. this person knows all of her dirty laundry anyway, so it’s not like she can just dip, right?? nah but she can actually let down her defenses a bit with this person since they (for some god forsaken reason bless their heart) bothered to try and get to know her despite her treatment of them in their relationship. they learned that emmaline wasn’t all bad, she just hated feeling inferior or unimportant, and it often presented as rude comments and other venomous behavior. they also came to find that a lot of her treatment of others was a direct result of the things she’d seen her parents do to each other and say to and about one another. these things had almost been normalized in her brain, and this person actually takes the time to try and work with her on it. they have hope she’ll wake the fuck up one day and stop emulating the bad things she once saw.
