#harry fan anon #finally here! hello! #yeah i get that :/ it's rough trying to enjoy your fandom experience only to have outside forces make it unbearable sometimes #especially with this kind of discourse which is so... draining and ugly and often personal feeling for a lot of people #and even when you actively try to avoid the discourse- it is still so pervasive that you end up seeing it anyway #don't be embarrassed at all- this fandom IS draining and it totally makes sense if you need to take a step back #it is unfortunate that it has to be this way since fandom is supposed to be fun and shouldn't be like this but 100% understand needing to #step back for your own sake #because a fandom is never worth your peace of mind and your happiness #i cut out everything related to 1d in 2016 for like 4-5 years because it was making me feel so awful and it was entirely worth it #gave me perspective and helped me find the joy in it again when i came back #obviously you don't have to go on a multi year break like i did lol even just a couple weeks can make a huge difference #it makes you remember what's important and realize the parts of fandom you can live without #my main recommendation for stepping back is to pour that extra energy into another hobby or interest you've been neglecting #or pick up something new #as soon as you have something else to focus on you'll find it easier to detach emotionally #when so much of your mind is wrapped up in one thing without any distractions it is much easier to invest to much of yourself into that one #thing at the detriment of your peace of mind #the little lovely corner of fandom you carved out for yourself will be here when you get back! #and never feel embarrassed for feeling things deeply- it's a lovely quality! just remember to take care of yourself #asks #anonymous

I've been having to call doctors back and forth today over my mental health, and seeing him popped up like that was a hug from a hairy old man I didn't know I needed, at least in the metaphorical sense. Making these stupid calls and having to think more of taking care of myself can embarrass me really easily.

Hey, as somebody who's been down for the count constantly lately with the ol' brain drain, I totally get it. Glad I could brighten things up a bit with silly hairy old man pictures. It's always a pleasure to have a little bit of fun around these parts. I don't do Tumblr often and really should use it more.

i am terrible at rmbr'ing lines but when he meets team 7 and his reaction is "my first impression of you is... i hate you all" is the fucking funniest shit to me. first, he lets those 12yo kiddos wait for hours and then has the gall to tell them he hates them lmfao king shit i love him (also, what a lying liar. they're his kiddos and he loves them)

lmao in shippuuden where he had to read a section out loud of his porn book and the line was literally just "i love you" but he practically died trying to say it, face red, sweat running down, stuttering and all that jazz acbsjfhsjfhdjfbajfb IT'S LITERALLY JUST I LOVE YOU, IT'S NOT EVEN SMTH SMUTTY FFS KKS YOU'RE A GROWN MAN!!! also the sheer amount of times he collapses bc of chakra exhaustion like pls king that's not normal, no one else pushes their chakra to the limit you fucking drama queen. i'll never forget that one time sakura sees him at ichiraku's and goes "oh, not in the hospital for once? that's new" lmfaooooo get recc'd.
