Not the show itself makeing the best bughead video edit 👀 but I’m sure they’ll do it for any “friendship” on the show.

i feel like it was something that will come back up. immediately? i have my doubts. riverdale likes to let things fester before pulling them back out again when it's needed to move the plot again. the subtle weaving of a narrative is not really their forte, let's be real.

he got all of those flashbacks when he was sitting there trying to write in what looked like a journal? he remembered the first kiss, then seeing himself reading the betty comic for the s2 talk then bam! right into a lot of the other bughead kisses so i'm sure it's purposeful. we don't know for what yet, tbh. if he repressed them then they just popped back up with a vengeance. if they were repressed for him, then he just got a big dose of what just happened?

i'd think the fact that every time there's a moment for some emotional forward movement between most of them, they go the other way or they ignore it is louder but some people need it spelled out i guess.

to be fair, the b/as think that intimacy happens because the parts fit together.

don't worry, archie will give her a platitude and then make it about his dad the next time she opens up. she'll be fine.

does anyone remember that moment where betty admits to locking alice up in the bunker and the comparison between how jughead reacts and how archie does? because like, yeah.

listen, they could have made archie a good bf to her. they didn't. they've had plenty of opportunities. he wasn't great in the vale, he was downright shitty in the fwb thing and that's not including all the stuff that came before it. that's just the way they write them at this point?

to be fair, which boo i don't wanna be, i feel like that scene was more about archie? which is also the mo for the whole b/a relationship so that tracks.

but also yes. betty very much compartmentalizes things and uses sex in ways that won't make her feel vulnerable.

you're right and you should say it. but you know...if the show wanted to give me an episode or two of beronica...i'd be okay with that.
