Just read Enduring As The Dark and remembered an ask I think about all the janus's meeting each other and now I'm stuck on the idea of if the dee in the au got some how magiced into the original world or universe or whatever (after everything) and just how awful it would be for everyone involved lol, just seeing how one little thing would have changed everything (and nothing) Not to mention seeing your worst fears come to life (Durant) and all the trauma seeing the person who was ether directly or indirectly responsible for some of the worst periods and moments of your life (everyone else lol) just the potential for angst and pure heartbreak for all parties is just 🤌😩

(Not a prompt it just wouldn't leave me alone lol)

i have a pet concept i dont know if i'll ever write that Adder does a divination spell and asks "what could I have done differently?" and then experiences durants actions from the main story in first person

i say i dont know if i'll ever right it because i dont think that he'd ever be able to look roman and remus in the eye again

and the combination of Virgil's wildly OP energy and Logan and the stars align JUST right in a way they just didnt happen to in the main story and theres a set of apple nymph quadruplet boys who look stirkingly like very dark haired mini-logans (and come bearing four different eye colors) and are, and i cannot stress this enough, hellion children. you thought pieces dukeceit had it funny going from zero to three in six months? well im about to be hilarious

I love so many things in the new EATD story:

Janus getting along with Thomas

LAMP pining for even longer now because Durant wasn't evil

Janus getting momed by Dot

Janus allowing himself to be silly with the others

Remus being fully on board with killing humans for endangering their humans (also I didn't understand what you meant by 'cutting off' at first, my mind first went to cutting someone off from drinking too much 😅)

Janus defending people from creeps at revels and Virgil comforting him after

The heated blanket completely stopping Janus' entire thought process

That Logan, Patton and Roman were so comfortable at the end that they went out with Janus alone

And how worried Virgil was about his brother being harmed by his own geas

I love this AU with my whole heart, thank you so much for sharing 💛

Patton later informs everyone he found Janus's off switch and demonstrates by dropping the heated blanket on his shoulders

yes! and im thinking that Remus falls for Io first, and theyve got a V-shaped set-up for several years, and then Durant and Io get together

and i do plan on writing sequels to eatd (and fff actually) so you can maybe expect actually reading that at some point

Btw I'm kinda unsure about this bc of how things played out in this timeline but does lamp get together in this universe or are they just friends?

rest assured there will be no laoft au that doesnt involve LAMP lol, i meant the "soulmate" thing in that extra

however, while LMP is established by the end of eatd, poor virgil wakes up pining desperately and they spend several months in that stage. Adder is TiredTM. there will be sequels that cover this because i will take every possible opportunity to write a LAMPfic
