This is the process of threading all that yarn through the tiny holes in the loom heddle. It’s tedious to be sure, but it’s also satisfying because it is so tactile, visual and clear. Not like working with people - LOL! There will be no weaving unless the warping is done, so it’s all a part of the process. All of this yarn is cotton with a few hand dyed exceptions that are probably cashmere or baby alpaca or something crazy soft like that. I’m going to be weaving with silk and avoiding wool so that it doesn’t felt up when/if it is ever washed. I’m thinking it will be a garment eventually, so washing is expected. I am hoping that the high cotton and silk content will make it comfortable to wear in summer, but we shall see.
