Even with the up and down temperatures, we have our first roses blooming for the year. We grow no spray roses, pick the petals, dry them ( pictured here from a previous year) and use them in our rhodomel. Our Oracle is a rhodomel which is rose mead. Ours is slightly sweet, just enough flavor from the roses and pairs well with Indian food, spicy foods or is a very pleasant sipping mead by itself.
