A Little Orange Bugger, sz 12
This is a creation of my own, a variation on a wooly bugger to represent large clusters of daphnia that live in some of the lakes near me.

In my seemingly endless quest to try every hobby ever, today I tried fly tying. I didn't want to spend any money on tools though, so I made them.
Top left is a bobbin. I based the design on common metal ones. The bottom right is a whip finisher, bent out of wire and sunk into a printed screwdriver handle.
Also, I used a helping hand instead of a proper vise. I don't recommend this, it's not nearly stable enough.
These were the little lads I ended up with! Despite using sewing thread, craft store fake feathers, and miscellaneous jewelry supplies, I'm really happy with them! I have a good feeling that I might catch some fish with them.
