The first drawing of the New Year! I hope everyone had a safe time. I spent my time thinking of a small AU that may or may not have been done before. Encanto Homunculi. When I was a kid, my favorite anime was FullMetal Alchemist. I was obsessed! I kind of had this scenario where members of the Madrigal family ended up passing away at different times, and in a desperation Alma seeked an alchemist in the debts of the mountains to help her “keep her miracle” by resurrecting her family. Pepa and Julieta was completely against the idea, but Alma did not care as long as she had her family again. When the alchemist created these Madrigals, something was…off. They weren’t themselves. Their gifts remained but their personalities have changed. Will Alma admit this was a terrible mistake, and accept the deaths of her loved ones? Or will the miracle be tarnished forever? The first homunculus I have is Bruno. After seeing Mirabel’s future after her failed gift ceremony, Bruno had disappeared from the family. For ten years, he was isolated in the walls, away from his family. His health deteriorated over time; not being able to keep himself hydrated and nourished for most days. It had gotten worse after Dolores fell into a depression for Isabela and Mariano’s engagement. He crossed over a wooded board one day and it broke beneath him. The fall though minimal, was proved to be fatal to him, especially due to malnutrition and age. His homunculus version has been shown to be furious at the village and his family. Placing blame on him for events that were never his fault; leading to a life of anxiety and isolation. He cannot help but to feel this wrath within him. His Ouroboros is in his left eye that is hidden by his unkept hair.
