Some days ago, I headed up the Schauinsland mountain, close to Freiburg for some sunset and maybe late on some night photography.⁠ At first, right up on the summit, I struggeled to find a decent composition, shot some photos of the setting sun, but wasn't happy with them. In spring this year we walked the Caminity del Rey in Andalucia, Spain. A walk through gorges, open valleys, along railings with vertical drops and Hollywood-like bridges... I had this quite classic shot of the #malecon in #havanna #cuba in mind for quite a long time. Unfortunately, during our brief stopover in Havanna we had quite clear evenings with hardly any clouds that could pick up colour. Luckily, on our very last evening wind had picked up slightly, brought in some higher waves crashing over the Malecon and some rainclouds as well. ⁣ I looked for this particular spot where the sun shone through a street perpendicular to the Malecon, lighting up the quay wall with this gorgeous golden light giving me this high contrast I was looking for.
