“By far, the most famous quote from a Brady episode is the redundant, ‘MARCIA MARCIA, MARCIA!’ which Jan had exclaimed when Marcia’s overpowering popularity had gotten just too much for her. I’m not exactly sure why it has caught on- maybe it’s the universality of having that kind of a golden sibling in a family- but ‘MARCIA, MARCIA, MARCIA!’ has entered the vernacular and manages to sneak into conversations everywhere.” -Lloyd F. Schwartz

“For some reason, the girls were easiest to cast. Maureen looked like she would grow up really beautiful, and that certainly could become part of her character. Eve, the idle girl, was very pretty but sounded like she could easily be provoked.” -Lloyd F. Schwartz

“Eve Plumb (Jan) is the closest to the character she played on the show. With doting parents who were forever intimating she was more special than the others, Eve arrived with a standoffish attitude that led to many of the storylines that had Jan not wanting to be part of the group. Even today, she resists being thought of as one of THE BRADY BUNCH. I like Eve, but, in my opinion at least, sometimes she makes things more difficult for herself than they have to be.” -Lloyd J. Schwartz
