i went to a ren faire with my friends yesterday and it was really fun but thats not what i wanna talk about.

at the faire there was a tent where they were doing hour long dnd oneshot sessions and my friends really wanted me to try because ive never played dnd before and they were part of my schools club. theyve been trying to get me to join for a while now but because of scheduling things and just not having any overwhelming urge i never did. but i figured its only an hour so i might as well try something new.

the three of us were sat at this table with one other person and our dm was this nice easily mid-thirties lady. we had premade character sheets and all of us were level 1, i was a halfling rogue i named keelow.

for the rest of the game my dice decided to screw me over. i rolled the lowest initiative every time, i was the only one to miss the stealth check and tripped on a wire that sent a pile of rubble on me, putting me at 1 hp (my friend used healing word on me thank god), i missed most of my attacks, luckily only hitting them when it mattered, but a wolf further in the cave put me back down to 1 hp so i was hanging near the back.

but then, we were fighting the final owlbear in the back of the cave. i was in shambles because i had already tried to throw my dagger at it and just whiffed it completely. but then my dm reminded me as i was about to throw my other dagger that i had sneak attack, (can deal an extra d6 of damage if allies are near the enemy) and i had enough speed to get right next to the owlbear. so i went for it, and not only did i hit the owlbear, i got my first nat-20!! so my dm let me deal full damage with my shortsword, as well as the two extra d6s and i was able to deal the final blow to the owlbear after my party had worn it down. ON ONE HP. i was genuinely so hyped and felt incredible.

anyway i think i wanna join dnd club now.

If you have specific pieces that are consistently stolen use google lens to find out where they have been reposted. Go through a bunch of the top reverse image searching sites as well as they all search differently. Ufortunately Tineye isn’t what it used to be and doesn’t work for most art now in my experience. Google lens is safest iirc.

<- in case you were unaware. I have had to jump through HOOPS to credit pfp art properly in the past and find traced art I when I know the original exists but can’t seem to find it.
