Arriving in South Korea 🇰🇷 • Make sure you have the address and phone number where you’re staying handy to fill in a few entry forms. • Also, don’t expect to get a stamp on your passport because you won’t get it. You’ll get a little entry confirmation paper square. I don’t know the reason why, but that’s how they do it. • Go to information, give them your address, and they’ll tell you which bus to take into town. The bus is about $15 and it’s a very convenient, affordable, and comfortable way to get to the city. It takes a little less than an hour. • The most convenient area to stay in Seoul is close to City Hall. It might be pricy, or you can find a hotel or Airbnb not far from there if you want to pay less. Maybe a few train stops away, or a 10-15 cab ride around that area. • Traveling in a group of 3 or 4 is perfect; all of you can share expenses on apartments and transportation if you decide to cab it. • The best place for shopping and food is Myeongdong Street in the heart of Seoul, or you can venture to KwangJang Market where you’ll find anything you ever needed. The food there is just so amazing! • Not far from City Hall is Gyeongbokgung Palace. It’s a beautiful place to spend half a day exploring it. You can dress up on a Hanbok outfit if you’d like to enter for free and experience the traditional Korean wear.
