Now he's dating like, 35 people and a good portion of them are off server

Shubble managed to make a sort of portal-on-demand service, but "forgot" to tell anyone so she and Grian could have dates in secret

When everyone else found out, it was upsetting, but also nice, because now the other hermits who fell for emperors could have their own dates

Gem jokes that, at the rate he's going, Grian will achieve multi-server peace between 1000 servers by the time he's 40 with just his kisses alone

Grian still has the secret dates with Shelby, they're just a little less secret now. Pearl rolls her eyes every time Grian pulls out his scheduling diary - filled to the brim with date plans. She gets special privileges, of course. She's his longest partner after all!

He also enjoys big group dates, which are more like hang out sessions. It's led to a lot of people becoming romantically acquainted with each other, creating a loose web of relationships. Grian is very proud of his hoarde.

Pearl likes telling people that she's dating her teacher. It's not wrong, technically, she just leaves out the fact that Grian is only 2 years older than her, is a the year above her, and is helping tutor her in their architect class because she cannot for the life of her figure out how to make rooms correctly.

Grian, naturally, is horrified.

Pearl enjoys seeing people's reactions just as much as she enjoys seeing Grian squirm. It's not like there's many people who can pull the joke off without actually being in an unhealthy relationship!

Grian is horrified, but also can't tell her to stop because she's right - he'd absolutely be doing the same thing in her position. She's got him there.

It was so ridiculously corny, and he absolutely waited around to see her reaction. He sulked for a few hours when the first thing she said upon seeing it was "this is the stupidest thing." She reassures him it was with love.

Pearl and Grian will admit they aren’t perfect people they had done some rather…terrible things in the past fighting as gladiators in a illegal hybrid fighting ring where one of the only things that brought any comfort to them was holding each other when they slept so when they arrived to hermitcraft they had been on edge for days not sleeping or even trying to rest til scar wonderful elf man he is dragged them to his treehouse bed and let them pass out on it.

Scar knows they were told to leave the two alone, but he can't do that when he sees people are having a bad time! And sure they tried to attack him, but Scar prepared for that. He'd drank more potions than probably necessary, and a golden apple on top. So, once they were done attacking him, he invited them to his treehouse.

And he did the right thing, because the two of them fall asleep the moment their heads hit the pillows. Two more successful customers of his mattresses!

Grian will "forget" to take his binder off. He knows he needs to take it off, but it keeps the dysphoria off his mind. Pearl will talk him into taking it off. She makes sure he knows he's the prettiest boy ever and anyone who says otherwise is a dirty liar who wouldn't know beauty if it hit them in the face! (Yes she's protective; no, she will not stop. Unless it makes Grian uncomfortable.)

She hates how he breathes shallower now in order to accommodate the constant pressure of the binder, even when it's off. She puts him under house arrest for a few days so he can have an extended break that his body clearly needs.

Pearl knows Grian is what most think of when she says she sold her sold to a god. They probably expect some beautiful, muscular man with some glorious weapon, or one more lithe with a gorgeous voice.

They certainly don't expect a shapeless writhing mass of eyes, wings and hands. But Pearl thinks she chose well! Having her soul under his control means she can look directly at him, letting her admire each feather and hand that big enough to pick her up like a doll.

He learned how to look human just so she can take him on the town (she says it's her form of worship, but they both know they're just dates), she makes sure no one loses their mind by looking into his eyes or staring at his shadow or inhuman gait.

He can resize himself to be anything she wants, which she thinks is sweet. He can be short when she needs someone to bully and he can be tall when she needs big someone to bully.

Plus, how many other saints of their patron god can say that worship ends with tentacles and large hands pulling off your worship cloth?

She chose Grian because, well... He didn't expect anything from her. Pearl was dedicated in her studies and it quickly became apparent that the nicer a god made themselves look, the more was going on beneath the surface. Things she wanted no involvement in. There's a reason that they're trying to win you over and it's rarely a good one.

Grian, though? He's the opposite of all that. Mischievous in the same way she is, but still hard-working. They can both sit together as they work, taking turns who sits on top of the other this time. It's fun taking breaks together, eating, going on walks or just messing around. Pearl knows they can never truly be equals, but it's interesting how Grian seems just as dedicated to worshiping her as she is to him.

Monster! Grian x Human! Pearl for the week's theme?

Pearl is a ranger doing patrols in her village's surrounding forest with her dog, Tilly. Tilly alerts her to something... strange. With her bow in hand she follows her partner, only to come across a terrifying sight. A harpy hunched over a meal, blood covering most of their face and wings.

Pearl rightly tries to shoot, a dangerous monster like this can not be near her village. But the harpy cowers, crying out when it's wing is shot, begging for mercy.

"Why should I let you live to eat my friends and family?"

"I don't eat humans! I promise! This is a rabbit I hunted!"

"Like I would believe that."

"Please, I'll leave. I promise. Just don't kill me."

Pearl doesn't know why but she does. She lowers her bow, lets the harpy limp off into the forest.

It isn't until a few days later that Tilly alerts her to something else in the forest. It's the same harpy. This time, though, they're curled up on the forest floor, bloody arrow next to them, whimpering in pain.

Despite what her mind is screaming at her, she helps the harpy. Wraps up his wing, (Grian, he says, is his name) and gives him some food she packed with her. Maybe she was wrong to judge him so quickly.

Pearl and Grian both having gone through abusive relationships and growing and healing from them together?

It wasn't easy to leave the 'safety' and 'security' of those relationships behind. They owe their friends a lot for sticking by them (they don't, their friends insist they don't, but healing takes time.)

Things seem to... Click when they meet each other. They're both ready to move on, finding each other in similar stages. It's nice, to have someone who understands. And their friends are there to stop them re-enforcing unhealthy thoughts (it's amazing how many things become normalised.)

They're still taking things one step at a time. But life is nice. They knock on doorways to let each other know when they're there. Chores are often done together. The couch has a pull-out bed, in case they need some space. It's good.

The idea of gripearl being so intimate is naking me feral

They sleep together and know how the other tskes their tea and cuts sweet fruit and get each other's loose feathers and preen wings, they bicker over who yakes more of the blanket and who takes more bed space, they sleep naked together because they always to be close, they shower together and wash one another down, they press little kisses to lips and cheeks and foreheads, they leave bruises and lovebites on visable skin and dare the other hermits to comment on it.

They love the other hermits, but they just hsve such an easiness to their love. It's so normal for one to throw their legs into the other's lap snd rant about what someone said, or for rough hands to tuck hair behind an ear when eating.

They snuggle closer and layer more blankets in their nest when it's cold because what's the point of nude sleeping when you don't use body heat?

Nudity isn't a sexual thing to them. They see each other nude and admire beauty and scars and stretch marks.

They both eventually want kids. Grian wants to see kids with the curve of Pearl's nose and the crookedness of her smile; Pearl wants kids with Grian's sparkling eyes and shining wings,

I'm normal about them

They'd never say they 'complete each other'. Both of them stand alone, and that's part of what makes them such a good couple. Over time, they've learnt how to fit together all of their curves and edges. It took time, patience and commitment but now they slot together perfectly.

They can see themselves like this for the rest of their lives. It's a sweet, restful thought.

When Pearl and Grian were younger thieves, they got into all kinds of trouble for their date nights— stealing from kings, picking fights with dragons, one time even stealing a baby dragon from slaughter!

Now that they're older, they haven't lost their wild energy, but they got most of it out of system. They would much rather a date be sitting cozy in bed with some good books and sweet bread from the bakery a few buildings down. Maybe go to a nice inn with their friends.

Just because they've settled down, it doesn't mean they can't defend themselves. When a local mafia try and extort them for 'protection', Pearl and Grian find thievery is just like riding a bike. It's very easy to topple a local criminal organisation!

It does help when you've got a dragon on your side, admittedly, but it was mostly their skills. Mostly.

Gem knows that Pearl has a crush on Grian and it's requited! That's just common knowledge on the hermitcraft server. But still, Gem can't help but feel bitter. She wants to be the one Pearl trusts the most, the one that Pearl talks about, the one special to Pearl.. she wants to be in Grian's spot. Cause of this, she's started to put space inbetween her and Pearl without even noticing. But, Pearl noticed, Pearl noticed and she's upset and confused by the fact that Gem is clearly avoiding her.

They'd known each other before becoming hermits, but joining at the same time strengthened that bond. It was them against the world! Not literally, no, but it was them being the newbies with something to prove.

And, in that time, Pearl talked a lot about her crush on Grian. Gem doesn't understand why the two aren't together yet, but she can only act so much through the pain in her heart. It was easier to just... Keep Pearl at arms length. Hopefully just until they actually got together and Gem could finally start getting over this.

She even asks Grian about it. It was pure coincidence that they ran into each other. Gem knows Pearl is a little sad at this point, so they need to get together soon. Why haven't they?

It turns out, Grian has been hearing all about Pearl's crush on Gem that everybody knows is requited. He didn't want to make a move and accidentally get in the way!

And, jeez, Pearl. Gem and Grian better start planning.

Grian loving Pearl very deeply for the theme? <3

Grian still doesn't know how he got this lucky.

Surrounded by tall, alien plants in vibrant colours, he still only has eyes for the alien next to him. The trip was a failure. Their ship lost main power halfway through it's journey. It was lucky the back up supply powering their life support didn't run out before Pearl's home planet picked them up.

Grian was amazed how advanced their civilisation is. They live and build alongside the plants, large mushrooms providing roofs, twisting vines holding up a building. Some houses are built into large petals, several stories tall. It's the kind of thing he could only dream about back home.

Once he was released from quarantine and given enough to start his own life here, it didn't take long to meet Pearl. And oh, across an entire universe of planets and random chances, they were lucky enough to meet. He's going to make the most of that every single day.

Though Pearl really needs to stop picking him up and flying him places!
