Let the Reverend Save You

🦇: This is an 18+ roleplay for the swearing and lewder subject matters this film has. It’s from Crimes of Passion (1984)

For some Context, basically your character has a run in with Peter Shayne and he is determined to save your soul from whatever “sin” you may carry.

Note: This character and I are VERY different and DO NOT share the same values so do not think that he reflects my views. He’s a villain and I play him as such

Starter:

The Reverend sits outside of the sleazy building a “man of the cloth” has no business being. He flips open his Bible with sweaty, shaking hands and reads to the people, customers and workers alike.

A yellow light casted a halo above his head. Making the man appear more saint-like than he was but something wicked lurked beneath the surface.

“Those who are sinful will not remain guiltless in the eyes of The Almighty! Repent! Oh Merciful God! How long? How much longer do we allow there ways? They’re, whoring and fucking? How much more?”

The passerbyers snicker and jeer at him. “Get a life” or “Screw off!” they tell him, only making his rage bubble up more in his chest, up to his throat. These shit-eaters didn’t deserve saving and yet here he was, doing the Lord’s work and doing his best to be Christ-like and save these lowly wretches as He would.

He spots (your character) and points, looking directly at you. He steps down from the area where he preached and turned to you. He seems to stare, with wide brown eyes, with conviction.

“You! Child of the Night! Tell me: Do you value your soul? Would you like to be saved?”
