[Hisoguy, 303 words! Commission for catboydecember on twitter!]

Guy finds Hisoka asleep in the back room of Journey. It’s not any different from normal, but it still gives him pause for a second, wanting to watch him. A pause of admiration is as good a reason to take a break as anything else, so Guy steps closer and brushes the backs of his knuckles against Hisoka’s cheek.

Hisoka’s eyes flutter open, and Guy almost feels guilty—but Hisoka looks up at him, and all he feels is warmth filling up his chest.

During work, they don’t get to have moments like this. There’s too many other things to pay attention to, and though Guy treasures Hisoka’s company, he can’t watch at all times. He’s accepted that—or at least he tries to.

“...G’morning, Guy,” Hisoka says softly, sleepily, and Guy’s heart swells.

He’s not used to this kind of love, unfamiliar and new, but he cherishes it alongside every other emotion he’s fostered in his time at Mankai, with Hisoka.

“It’s not morning,” he says, leaning down to press a kiss against the top of Hisoka’s head. He pulls back and watches Hisoka’s eyes slip closed again, and can’t help but love that, too—Hisoka will keep resting, and Guy will keep looking after him.

“I don’t care,” Hisoka says, and his fingers wrap around Guy’s arm. “...Is the day almost over? I want to go home with you.”

To go home with Guy. It’s such a soft, simple thing, but it makes Guy want to linger here all the same. He puts his hand over Hisoka’s, feels his cold fingers and thinks that this is what makes his life here worthwhile. “We can go home soon,” he says with a small smile. “Until then, you can sleep more.”

Hisoka mumbles something that sounds almost like I love you as he falls back asleep.

Thoughts on Fuyupoly?

quite literally absolutely the perfect ship and i’m not kidding they are just a bunch of stupid men who love each other SO MUCH and they go together really well and they’re so [clenches fist its like... even if you split them up into different groups they still have such amazing dynamics and then all together they’re a bunch of silly boys who love each other so much. and its like. theres tasutsumu and hisohoma and azuguy and theyre great but then you mix it up. tsumuhiso and tasuhoma and hisoguy and azuhoma and suddenly youre realizing hey!! they all have chemistry with each other!! all together now!! and it’s so. and [points at nocturnality] also you cannot tell me the dinner in act 8 with the cg wasn’t like. a troupe date. theyre on a date. theyre on a d I PROMMY I HAVE A FUYUPOLY FIC THAT IM WORKING ON BUT I AM SO SO SLOW.

I was going to also comment this under your Tsumuhoma post but technically this ain’t about them. But as great as the main Winter Poly ships (TsumuTasu, HisoHoma, AzuGuy) are there’s some REALLY fun dynamics with everyone that also end up reflecting well on what everybody’s like in a relationship? Like. Tasuku has the funniest fucking dynamics with all 5 of these guys in completely different ways and in turn it says SO much about him as a character. Tsumugi is also very caring and kind about all 5 (I’m lacking the words for it right now because I can’t think but something about how you can Absolutely tell he majored in psychology in the way he approaches some of them and their traumas) which shows what he’s like as a character. It’s like. They’re all so, so so close with each other as a group and as you analyze all their dynamics you can also use that as a way to analyze what they’re like individually. I’ve also been really fond of HisoGuy recently thanks to a friend of mine so shoutout to him

YEAH EXACTLYYY I'm a known Fuyupoly enjoyer and part of the reason they work so well as a WHOLE GROUP both platonically and romantically is because each individual dynamic has its own flavor and differences in how they interact! The whole group is one whole, but their differences in how they approach each other are so good and distinctive!!!

AND LIKE YOU SAID TASUKU IS SO FUNNY WITH ALL OF THEM. And Tsumugi does so much for all of them--I think it reflects both his psychology knowledge but also how he's grown into his leader role since the start of the game!! Azuma treats all of them differently too, like I don't think Nocturnality could've happened with anyone but Tasuku... but all the rest of them help him in their own, separate ways that Tasuku can't!! Or how Homare and Tasuku are such a comedy duo, and both of them end up caring for Hisoka in completely different ways but their care and affection for Hisoka shines through... And Guy does this too with Hisoka, esp since Hisoka is working at Journey now, spending so much time with Guy!!

Shout out to all the little individual dynamics that make them such a great troupe for reallllll A3 is so good at character dynamics and variety and making ALL of them so compelling
