Hong and Satoshi's relationship is so good. I remember mentally stumbling when they just HAD the two of them be casually a couple there. A lot of historical fiction either erases gay relationships or makes it a Big Thing.
Forgive me for my homophobia but I asked if they were a couple in my first playthrough. Mei and I were like "that's allowed here??"
Idk it was a nice surprise. I'm so used to disappointment.
- Anon who strung kazu along
Yes, they're really cute despite having little screen time together. Also shout out to Satoshi for openly admitting he's getting his back blown out by Hong lmao
I was also surprised to see a canon queer couple book haha. But also if you're already assassins why even try to hide it. Be gay do crime.

Portland state university and PCC sylvania have hella brutalist architecture ! And love joy fountain is one of the places the jackass guys did “urban kayaking”. The South Park blocks that the campus surrounds have a farmers market on the weekends.
The Saturday market on the waterfront on Naito Parkway is super mid. Really underwhelming.
There’s a stripclub called the Acropolis off 99e and Tacoma that has really good steaks. There’s a lot of strikes among Portland strippers tho and idk where they land.
There’s a lesbian bar called the sports bra?
Baby ketten klub has karaoke. There’s private rooms but also just one big karaoke bar in the middle. They have this blended frozen cocktail that’s like $6 or smth.
Also rocky butte has a rlly pretty view of the mountains. There’s this weird dome-shaped concrete church down the road from it. Idk if it’s brutalist but it’s fascinating.
There’s also a viet store on 82nd and Burnside Hong Phat. There’s Shun Fat further down 82nd idk what their vibe is tho.
Third Eye is the only Black-owned bookstore in Portland. Def check it out on SE Division. Powell’s books can suck my dick and balls (derogatory)
Mt tabor is beautiful and involves a lot of walking depending on where you park. Worth it tho. My favorite view of the city ever. It’s also an inactive volcano :)
If you really like hiking you can wander around tryon creek state park. It’s next to PCC sylvania and Lewis and Clark College. There’s also forest park but forest park is So Huge. Tryon is def more manageable on a budgeted timeline.
Laurelhurst park off stark st is also really pretty!
There’s a rad food truck owned by queer sex workers at a new pod called little America that’s also off stark street
this is all v cool! appreciate the lovely writeup <3
also the sports bra is dedicated to women's sport omg this is literally laser focused to me. it's an official thorns viewing location too i might catch that away game with fans!

Answer 21, Tag 21
Thanks for the tag @phylophe! I’m actually lonely af in this site. I only stick around because I’m THAT desperate to get my artworks to have some views. 😢
Nickname(s): Naito, mel (I prefer Naito)
Zodiac Sign: Pisces ♓
Height: 5ft 3in. Possibly outdated; This was from way back in high school
Hogwarts House: UMM... SCREW ME. I barely know Harry Potter. O)-<
Last Thing I Googled: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. When the fq will you release this, Vanillaware?
Favourite Musicians: Hiroyuki Sawano, Yuki Kajiura, Shoji Meguro, Yuki Hayashi, Keiichi Okabe. I’m a sucker for original soundtrack but the soundtrack industry isn’t big outside of Japan and Korea, where OST is a separate genre from the rest. Ayumi Hamasaki’s music back in the 2000s was probably the foundation of the kind of music I like. I really love the variety of Avril Lavigne’s songs. Li Hong Ki and his band FTIsland break the boundary between Japanese and Korean music. They should sing an anime song already. Favorite local PH musicians are Ebe Dancel (formerly Sugarfree) and Yael Yuzon (Sponge Cola). I like rocker-singer-songwriters.
Song Stuck in My Head: Not really ear wormed to it, but randomly singing “Sound of the End” by Keiichi Okabe from the NieR: Automata soundtrack is becoming a habit.
Following Now: 12
Followers: 38
Do I Get Asks?: I’m lonely af. I’d be more than happy to answer them but no one asks me. :<
Amount of Sleep: Est. 10 hours average. I think I’m very slowly falling into the pit of clinical depression.
Lucky Number: How am I supposed to know my lucky number?
What I’m Wearing: Summer get up at home; cotton shirt, loose cotton shorts
Dream Job:  I just want to be part of the production of a box office hit and its soundtrack somehow. That’s just a pipe dream though. I have no idea what I want to do now that I’ve graduated college. I’m having a quarter life crisis. 😭
Dream Trip: I want to go to the places that have significance in or remind me of the works of fiction I like. I want to go back to Shibuya, Tokyo in a Shujin Academy uniform (and a Player Pin, and a Mr. Mew plushie with a yellow scarf HAHAHA references overload). I also want to see the Gundam Unicorn in Odaiba, Tokyo. My lifelong goal is to see the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry in Paris.
Favourite Food: sushi/sashimi, Japanese curry, suman (a variety of local rice cakes), maja blanca (local version of blancmange), vanilla ice cream and milk tea
Instruments: None. Yes, I’m boring like that.
Languages: Filipino (Tagalog), English. Trying hard on Japanese and Filipino (Capampangan). Filipino is actually a catch-all term for the 150+ LANGUAGES in the Philippines.
Favourite Song: I have too many favorites to be able to pick one. The newest favorite is  “Unti-L” by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:ASCA.
Random Fact: Too much painkillers will ruin your liver. Fact about me? I randomly sing my favorite songs (horribly). It’s because I tend to associate them with things other than the show/game they were used in. For example, I sing StarRingChild or Next 2 U when the stars are bright in the night sky. When I see a passing airplane (especially at night) I sing FRIENDS.
Aesthetic: zettai ryouiki (minus the hideously exaggerated thighs), tights, autumn fashion, warm lighting and vivid colors or cool lighting and dull colors (commonly seen in Korean music videos), bokeh, when warm hard light and dark shadows accentuate the good looks of a person/character, subtle yet meaningful facial expressions/body language
I tag: ............ I told you, I’m lonely af in this site right? OTL

Announcement for VIDEO PARTY in KYOTO 2019 There are many video works created by various independent artists these days, many of which seem to have no storylines and contents hard to comprehend. But the potential of this media is limitless and there are many fresh imageries being created continuously. Unfortunately, we do not have enough occasions in which we can come in contact with borderless variations of the genre. It is for this reason we assemble this VIDEO PARTY, where we can screen and make records of these ever-growing works of independent artists, as well as to simply increase the opportunity for Indies video works to be seen. Based in Kyoto, the VIDEO PARTY has been organized for independent artists to exhibit their works, regardless of their nationality, affiliation, standpoint and genre - ranging from drama, animation, experimental and documentary - and has been screening publicly offered works, since 2013. For this year, the PARTY will be held in July (provisional), at the “Lumen Gallery”, a video-specialized gallery established in Kyoto. We have also started the work exchange program since 2014, in cooperation with several overseas film festivals, educational establishments and Indies film screening organizations. In 2016, we had successful screenings in Taiwan, South Korea and Macau and China, to introduce participating works of the VIDEO PARTY. We plan to expand the interaction and create more opportunities to screen in more locations this year. We anticipate your joining to this opportunity of witnessing the future and exploring the potentials of video works, woven by various independent artists. Hence, we would like to invite everybody to subscribe your works. This year's event will be held at Lumen gallery in Kyoto on July 27 (Sat)-28 (Sun) and August 3 (Sat)-4 (Sun) for 4days.

'Shape of Water,' 'Dunkirk' and 'Three Billboards' sweep Oscar nominations
Tuesday was the 2018 Academy Award nomination day and saw an interesting variety of films like Guillermo del Toro's "The Shape of Water" take 13 nominations continuing its award season winning streak. Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk" followed with 8 and "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" with 7. Paul Thomas Anderson saw his Daniel Day-Lewis starrer "Phantom Thread" get some Academy love with 6 nominations including best picture. Many insiders expected the actor to land a nom in what he claims will be his final screen performance, but after a rather chilled reception from the guilds and critics awards, many thought it might wind up DOA. A shortened campaigning season also made it a harder push, but rave reviews have given Anderson's exquisitely crafted, psychologically intense period romance quite the boost. Steven Spielberg's well-received "The Post" didn't fare so well with only two nominations. Word of mouth is still proving to award season fodder. Many academy voters aren't as quick to view screeners that haven't had much word of mouth, but these kinds of reviews lead to them to pop them in much faster. "Phantom Thread" is now being declared a dark horse against some major films, and like with many awards seasons, the underdog can wind up sweeping up the Oscars. Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the Academy Awards for a second time on March 4 on ABC. The full list of Oscar nominations is below after the biggest snubs and surprises which most people want to check out first.
Biggest Academy Award Nomination Snubs and Surprises:
SNUB: James Franco, “The Disaster Artist” Franco was thought to be a lock for his gonzo performance as cult film director Tommy Wiseau in “The Disaster Artist.” However, a report published by the Los Angeles Times near the end of Oscars voting, detailing inappropriate sexual conduct by the actor, could have derailed his chances. After years of nominating men like Woody Allen and Roman Polanski, who were both accused of sexual abuse, the Academy has drawn a line in the sand. #TimesUp. SNUB: Armie Hammer, “Call Me by Your Name” Although he campaigned hard, Hammer wasn’t included in this year’s best supporting actor race for his performance in “Call Me by Your Name.” It might be that his substantial screen time as an American in Italy made voters feel like he was one of the film’s leads and he split his vote with Michael Stuhlbarg, who delivers a tour-de-force monologue at the end of the film. SNUB: “Wonder Woman” gets shut out Despite celebrating strong female leads in “Lady Bird” and “Three Billboards,” the Academy didn’t embrace the DC Comics box office juggernaut. “Wonder Woman” couldn’t muster a single Oscar nomination. Not for best picture or director Patty Jenkins, and it even missed out in the technical categories. SNUB: “Mudbound” for best picture Netflix was hoping that Dee Ree’s critically acclaimed drama, set in the 1950s Mississippi Delta, would be the streaming service’s first best picture nominee at the Oscars. But the movie missed out of the top contest. However, it did pick up four nods, including best supporting actress Mary J. Blige (the first time an actor from a Netflix movie received Oscars recognition) and best cinematography (making Rachel Morrison the first woman ever nominated in the category). SNUB: “The Big Sick” for best picture Amazon also didn’t crack the best picture category in 2018, with its hit box office comedy starring Kumail Nanjiani. It was, however, nominated for original screenplay. That means the only streaming movie to ever be nominated for best picture is last year’s “Manchester by the Sea,” which Amazon released. SNUB: Hong Chau, “Downsizing” After receiving a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nomination, Chau missed out in the best supporting actress race for playing a Vietnamese refugee in Alexander Payne’s drama. The film’s lukewarm reception made her lose out to Blige, Allison Janney (“I, Tonya”), Lesley Manville (“Phantom Thread”), Laurie Metcalf (“Lady Bird”), and Octavia Spencer (“The Shape of Water”). SNUB: Tiffany Haddish, “Girls Trip”  Haddish was a good sport to wake up at the crack of dawn to announce this year’s Oscar contenders. After picking up an award from the New York Film Critics Circle, she should have been nominated for her star-is-born supporting turn in “Girls Trip.” SNUB: Holly Hunter, “The Big Sick” The Academy loves Hunter, who has been nominated for four Oscars and won for 1994’s “The Piano.” But her nuanced portrait of a mom dealing with her daughter’s mysterious illness wasn’t among the nominees for best supporting actress. SNUB: Martin McDonagh, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” The Fox Searchlight dark comedy got a big boost over the weekend, winning best ensemble, best actress (Frances McDormand), and best supporting actor (Sam Rockwell) at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Many thought that McDonagh, who picked up a Director Guild of America nod, would land in this year’s best director race. It’s rare for a movie to win best picture without a directing nod, although “Argo” pulled off that feat in 2013. SNUB: Steven Spielberg, “The Post”  The drama about the Washington Post publishing the Pentagon Papers wasn’t the Oscars heavyweight many thought it would be. It only earned two nominations: for best picture and best actress Meryl Streep, who plays famed publisher Katharine Graham. SURPRISE: “Phantom Thread” surges The Focus Features release about a demanding 1950s fashion designer opened late in the Oscar season. But never underestimate director Paul Thomas Anderson, who is an Academy darling. The movie picked up a surprising six nominations, including best picture, best director, best actor (Daniel Day-Lewis), and best supporting actress (Lesley Manville). SURPRISE: Denzel Washington, “Roman J. Israel, Esq” Another Academy favorite, Denzel Washington, landed his eighth acting nomination. Although “Roman J. Israel, Esq” received mixed reviews, Washington got in the best actor race over Franco, Tom Hanks (“The Post”), and Jake Gyllenhaal (“Stronger”).
