Alright time to put on my Kim Defender hat.

Him not saying I love you was NOT him being a dick. Him trying to leave was NOT him being a dick. It was him being SCARED AND GUILTY.

When Kim kissed Porchay, that was him losing control. He had a plan. Investigate Porsche, keep his brother safe, and get out of Porchay's life as soon as he could without doing anymore damage. Without putting him in anymore danger by involving him more in Kim's messed up family. And then Porchay confessed to him, and he lost control, he couldn't fight his growing feelings anymore. Queue the "morning after" when he has to face the reality of screwing up, and Porchay says he loves him.

Now let's be clear, you NEVER have to say you love someone just because they said it to you. Never. And unlike some of yall fools, Porchay clearly knows this. When he confesses, Both confessions, he absolutely is not saying it to get Kim to answer in kind. He does an amazing job pushing Kim for more without actually inappropriately pressing for too much. When he asks if Kim loves him, he is giving him an opportunity. They made it really clear one of Porchay's love languages is words of affirmation, and he and Porsche are very vocally affectionate. And he has definitely picked up on how hard speaking up is for Kim, hence why his outburst was kissing Porchay and not saying a response outloud. So he bluntly asks him, giving him a chance to speak, and when Kim doesn't say yes, he accepts it because he knows better than to hold it against him.

Now if you ask me, Kim absolutely does love Porchay, but that's exactly why he can't say it. He feels SO guilty for getting involved with him, and he obviously is pretty messed up by his past under that cool cold exterior. Him not saying he loves Porchay and then trying to leave is the last attempt of a hurting young man to walk back something he thinks he did wrong. And hopefully post Chay kidnapping, he'll realise he's in way too deep and leaving will only make it worse. But either way, he is NOT selfish, he is NOT an asshole, and he has proved he will do anything for Porchay.

so what's happening here?

okay. so first off - i changed the main's url a while back and then realised 'wait if that's not using this one then i can put it back here' i intend to dedicate most of my spoons today to fixing links - if it's been more than 8 hours since this post was made and you find a broken link, please tell me

but anyway. we are reincarnating (i still got the long covid but trying to make it easier on me this go around)

what's changing? well, i intend to have two different types of builds here: - adaptations - direct adaptations of a character, presented without description as the original character's should suffice. for example, gym leaders and danganronpa characters would likely fall here. instead of characterisation notes, i'll just have ideas of how to integrate them. (this doesn't necessarily mean all the human characters will be human though. that's boring) - inspirations - the majority of existing builds fall under this. examples being basically any mon that isn't a specific one like guildmaster wigglytuff. these will have characterisation notes though perhaps not as in-depth as they used to - long covid messed that one up a bit.

and what's new?

i'll be making example sheets, probably using MPMB's pdfs. i say probably because they need adobe acrobat, so don't run natively on linux and i can't get them to run through wine - but they look so good i've set up a win10 virtual machine just to use them - why this over beyond? beyond still hasn't implemented some stuff properly, and the exported pdfs require scrolling in some fields in my experience which means no printing - why this over dicecloud? again, pdf export reasons - you can't export it in any easily readable way - why this over insert any other pdf here? this one does the maths for me :v

if these sheets don't work out for me i'll be using dicecloud for the maths and just copying stuff into another pdf. if they do work out i'll put a proper payment in for them; i appreciate PWYW for letting you try them out first too

generally these will be level 5 or 6 to play around with how i see them.

i have no schedule for this currently. i'm mostly posting this to try and force brain into it - the adhd stuff is. Going - but hopefully i'll get /somewhere/ next month.

i also intend to update all the existing builds. mostly just making sheets for them, but some of them there's cool new stuff they can use on heroforge. as such, i'll be preparing them, and once i have enough i'll start queueing them and updating their links once i do

regarding homebrew - my friend's homebrew i've used for a couple isn't available currently, so i'll adapt them to new roles. scrafty's going to be the hardest, but i can deal i do intend to look and see what homebrew is set up for whichever sheets i end up going with - it won't be the main focus but it will give some inspiration...

but yeah. tl;dr long covid + adhd are kicking my heck but we stay silly :3

Apparently musicians can turn off “dynamic pricing” which makes ticket prices higher when there’s demand, but Taylor chooses not to. It really breaks my heart how she seems to see us as ATMs even though she says she loves us. A $100 ticket vs a $500 is a huge difference to most of us but she already has more money than she could ever spend, it makes no difference to her. I still love Taylor and will continue to support her but it’s so disappointing how she lets her tickets be so expensive when she can literally not do that.

Yeah this is one of the things I have questions about on her/her team's end because like while people have brought up production differences, I have issues believing that Ed and other smaller artists can afford to do it if she can't? Likewise I've seen that apparently Halsey intervened in their own way to make sure their US fans weren't treated like this on their last tour. So like while I understand that Ticketmaster probably said no to the Reputation Tour approach, it's hard to believe that there was absolutely nothing that her/her team could have done.

In general while I understand that it takes time to confirm and she doesn't want to promise something then take it back if it falls through, I also think had there at least been some kind of confirmation of "Hey I plan to visit Canada and South America!" let alone other countries because I know a lot of people in those areas (and internationally in general) were anxious on whether they should get USA tickets or not and some of them may not have gone into queue had they known if she was coming to their country. And like from memory (so people are free to correct me if I'm wrong) Australian Rep dates were released within a fortnight to US ones so like it was doable, especially if the rumours about her having booked a lot of international venues for next year as early as last year are true.

Like honestly the whole thing sounds like a mess and I hope at very least USA fans get some kind of recognition that it was a mess in a way that it likely (read: hopefully) won't for other fans because like I feel emotionally drained and horrible just reading posts about it let alone partaking in it. And I keep saying it but again, I am so sorry it happened to you all.

Welcome to ‘The Writer Shuffle’ where some members of the One Piece writing community have come together for a special project for the month of April! Starting from April 1st you can send in any request you’d like to the blog and your request will be picked up by one of the many talented writers taking part!
