Show!Alicent and Show!Rhaenrya were never going to experience motherhood (or marriage for that matter) the same way, when you take into consideration that Alicent was forced to marry Viserys (Rhaneyra was technically forced to marry Laenor, but even then they had an arrangement and Rhaenyra still had power, whereas Alicent didn't have that power or that arrangment).

Alicent was forced to have her children (Rhaenyra willing had children with Harwin a man of her choosing and did not have to endure marital r@pe. Even though she and Laenor didn't want to have s!x they agreed they would until they had a child. Alicent on the otherhand is quite literally summoned by her husband for s!x. S!x that upon hearing she was being summoned for began crying and during said s!x mentally had to dissociate).

While of course people can still compare them it always annoys me when people specifically compare their relationships with their children because the context in how these children came to be is completely different (and the fact that this is only ever used to demean Alicent). Therefore how these mothers view their children is going to be completely different. This doesn’t mean that Alicent and Rhaenyra don’t love their respective children it just means that the dynamics they have with those children are going to be vastly different.

Not only that but the way Alicent and Rhaenyra themselves were raised and the relationships they have/had with their own mothers (and fathers) is also going to impact how they raise their children.

Nothing to add cause this is an excellent analysis. Wish more people would acknowledge their different positions(in life and situation) and keep that in mind when talking about their mothering, but this fandom is allergic to actual analysis🙃

Thoughts on Rhaena x Aemond?

Love them ♥️ They are one of my favorite crack ships(I actually like them more than one of Rhaena’s canon ships 🤐). Seriously do not know why more people don’t ship them. They have the whole Romeo and Juliet/enemies to lovers thing going for them. There is just so much potential there. I actually thought Aemond was eyeing Rhaena during the dinner scene(and I know I wasn’t the only one). That look should’ve launched a thousand fics 🤷🏽‍♀️

What do you think we would`ve seen in canon had Rhaena/Aemond or Baela/Aemond been canon?

For Rhaena and Aemond probably a Romeo and Juliet situation. Tragic and doomed from the start if everything else stays the same during the Dance besides Rhaemond falling in love with each other.

I could see Aemond and Rhaena meeting and forming a secret attachment during her visit to the capital. When Rhaena travels to Vale after the Dance breaks out, en route Aemond swoops in and kidnaps Rhaena(I don’t think she’d willingly leave her family, but I don’t think she’d leave him once she’s with him).

Now because Rhaena is a highborn girl and his cousin he’s taking her back to Kings Landing with him and marrying her in front of witnesses(Otto would want to use her as a hostage, but Aemond shuts that down).

When he goes to the Riverlands he either sends her away to Oldtown or he keeps her in KL with his mother(I imagine that when the Blacks take the capital Rhaena probably has guards around the clock that way Aemond doesn't try to sneak her out). In this scenario, Aemond still dies and if Rhaena falls pregnant she probably loses the baby 😬(but if she's at Oldtown don't worry guys Garmund will comfort her).

If it's a situation where the Dance for some reason doesn’t break out(Viserys would have to not be oblivious) I could see Aemond doing something to force Daemon's hand that way he has to go along with their union. He eventually comes along, but there is an uphill battle. In this scenario, Rhaemond get their happy ending and Aemond is given a lordship of his own to pass down to his and Rhaena’s children.

As far as Baela and Aemond go, I honestly can’t picture it. Like they just don’t mesh at all IMO(sorry to any shippers out there I’m just not seeing it 🤷🏽‍♀️). Baela and Aegon on the other hand have delicious potential 👀🔥

i hate what they did to laena on the show. not only has her importance to daemon been reduced to "second best" but also her death was unnecessarily brutal and i hated it from the first time i saw it. after all, at least in the book, laena tried to do what she loved one last time: fly and daemon really seemed to care about her and grieve for her death.

I have a feeling they wanted to make laena su*cide look like "death of a dragonrider" and her agenda, for rhaenyra to look badass when sunfyre burn and eat her. the small part she had seems to exist only to enhance rhaenyra. Hotd isn't even in season 2 yet and it already makes me angry, Got at least took 6 seasons for me to realize the mistakes..

👆🏽The last paragraph is why they really did it. No one in their right mind thinks committing suicide by dragon fire(how many suicides do you see where someone is lighting themselves on fire) is empowering. It’s something a desperate woman who’s out of her mind would do. Even the actress who played older Laena (Nanna Blondell) originally questioned why Sara Hess put that in there(there’s an hour-long podcast on YouTube where she talks about her role as Laena).

They reworked Laena’s story just to make Queenie’s death look better in the end. And the thing about it is it’s still a wasted effort because Rhaenyra doesn’t voluntarily kill herself.

She literally is on the run with no money(she has to sell her jewels/crown), no powerful friends who will come to her aid(cause she locked Corlys up and went after Nettles so Daemon left her a**), and no dragon(cause the small folk she didn’t think were a threat where actually a threat).

She’s going back to Dragonstone thinking it’s a safe place and she can regroup there, but her home has been overtaken by the enemy. She’s lost everything and then she loses her life at the hands of her crippled brother and his crippled dragon🤣

I’m only laughing cause her stans really think she’s a bad b*tch when she’s not. She’s a broke b*tch(in spirit and in “reality”).

This isn’t dying like a “dragon rider”(the concept doesn’t exist in book canon since her dumba** fans love pointing to the books which never support their delusional arguments by the way) this is dying like the flop she:

At this point, I’ve been counting the first season as a trial run. I’ve seen some shows that had a meh first season(only the second half of HOTD was really terrible to me) but turned around to have decent other seasons. However, the fact that they cut the number of episodes plus the striking situation and the fact that they didn’t fully clean house with the showrunner shake up 😬

Laena was unfortunately a victim of sh*tty biased writing, but there’s always hope that her girls get the storylines they deserve.

Call me crazy but I know that TGC hates certains aspects of Aegons characterization and I'll be honest when I saw that scene between Aegon and Baela at the dinner table I analyzed the hell out of that moment especially when Aegon was pouring his drink and you can physically see the gears turning in his head when he's deciding whether or not he was going to say some thing to her! Call me crazy but I definitely see the potential for Aegon and Baela (Aegon along with Aemond sees Jace and Luke as unworthy bastards and in his own twisted way definitely think that Baela deserves better) they are slowly starting to become my favorite crackship!

Oh yeah, you can tell he thinks that some of the stuff they’ve written up for his character is absolutely ridiculous(looking at you Sara Hess once again who said Aegon is still likable even though he’s a rapist🙃).

Anyway, I’ll be honest and say I was way too focused on the glance between Rhaemond at the dinner table to notice Baegon, but I see it now 🙌🏽

The potential is delicious. Like there’ll be lots of fighting because they both have a lot of energy, but I think that they’d weirdly get each other. They are protectors at heart(see how Aegon had Aemond’s back during that scene and in the deleted scene how Baela wanted to fight with and for her family). They are the oldest siblings and the wild child. They can match each other crazy and keep each other on their toes.

IMO this crackship is one of the few ones that can work before and after the Dance.

Love the Aegon seeing Jace and saying I’m better than him and swooping in because of course a bastard shouldn’t have Baela Targaryen(he's telling himself the entire time that she's annoying and too wild, ironic yes, but something keeps pulling him to her) 🙌🏽

Now I raise you Aegon and Baela hating each other for their respective parts in the war but they slowly start to fall for each other because they see how the other cares for their remaining family members❤️‍🔥

There are just so many possibilities. This pairing is everything and they should be talked about more🙌🏽

When people say Alicent was jealous of Rhaenyra I don't think they realize what exactly Alicent was jealous of Rhaenyra for. It wasn’t because she got to choose who she slept with, it was because Rhaenyra had so much power (being a Princess, having a dragon, being named heir to a throne and remaining heir even after having three true born brothers, going on a "tour" to find a husband of her choosing, willingly loosing her maidenhead before marriage to a man she was not betrothed too, not being forced to marry said man, willingly having three obvious bastards and getting away with it) and acted like she was powerless/refused to recognize that power.

Yep, and the thing is in the books you get a sense that Rhaenyra knows her power, and younger!Rhaenyra in the show appears to know her power, but by episode 7 she’s out there acting like a woman without any agency. She is inarguably the most privileged woman of her time.

Now before anyone goes on saying how she is oppressed(please look up the actual definition of the word because in no way shape or form was she actually oppressed) and her crown was usurped because she was a woman, you have to admit that Rhaenyra is objectively able to get away with stuff that other women(including Alicent who is privileged in her own way as well) wouldn’t be able to. Not only that she punches down so much and uses her privilege to actively harm others.

If Alicent were to do half the stuff she did, her head would be on a spike, her sons sent to the wall(or killed), and Helaena banished or made to become a septa.

Even if Rhaenyra had admitted that the Strong boys were in fact bastards, while she may have lost the support of the houses of Westeros that she did have(House Velaryon certainly would have dropped her like a hot cake), she and her kids would still live, she would’ve remained princess of Dragonstone(just not heir to the Iron Throne), and those boys would’ve been given land and lordship.

It was never life and death for her. Her life and the life of her children would never have been in danger like Alicent and her children’s was and would’ve been. Rhaenyra’s worst enemy was herself. She made a mess of her own life which brought the death of all the Strong boys and ultimately herself. Alicent was rightfully upset about what Rhaenyra was allowed to get away with 🤷🏽‍♀️

Do you think Baela and Rhaena like Rhaenyra?

If it’s the former then probably. They knew her since they were babies. We don’t hear about her treating them terribly. She was an actual stepmother to them and they probably viewed her as a trusted authority figure.

However, I don’t think she overstepped the role of stepmother where she became replacement Laena to them. Their actual mother(because I know how fans like to act like Laena doesn’t exist now and meant nothing to her own daughters) always and forever remained their mother in their eyes even though she passed away when they were three. So while they liked her she never became a real mother to them(probably viewed her more like an aunt).

I mean Baela still chose to name her daughter after her own mother rather than the woman “who raised her.” So if that doesn’t tell you something🤷🏽‍♀️

Now if it’s show!Baela and Rhaena 🙃 Rhaena and Rhaenyra’s relationship is very formal(why the hell have we only seen her call her princess or my queen 🙃) and Baela is being raised by the actual father who stepped up, Rhaenys.

Baela doesn’t seem to interact with her stepmother at all. Even in the deleted scene between her and her granny, she said she wanted to be a fighter/dragonrider like her mother(Laena), her father(Daemon), and her granny(Rhaenys). She never mentioned wanting to be like Rhaenyra.

Rhaena as a whole seems very stunted. Her hair has been in the same style since she was around 8/9. She’s frozen in time. It’s quite sad. Granted she could like her hair in that style(probably because of her mom and wanting to feel closer to her), but she just seems like a quite little church mouse, and every time I see her on screen I think of Cinderella before the fairy Godmother comes in.

I don’t think they hate Rhaenyra, but they may resent her somewhat. I mean their dad moved on hella fast and he pays absolutely zero attention(to Rhaena especially which isn’t normal either) to them.

Rhaenyra doesn’t seem to make much of an effort to bond with them in a maternal fashion(again she seems formal with them🚩 It’s weird as hell and not how normal blended families behave).

The girls did not look like this at Dumbnyra’s Vegas quickie wedding for nothing:

Do you think an arranged marriage Aegon/Baela would produce a Queen Charlotte style “Even Days” or something similar?

Oh my God, this is absolutely brilliant 🙌🏽 Yes I can definitely see their marriage going that way with the pressure to create an heir and make things work for the good of the realm.

They don’t get each other at first. It’s on both ends that they are pushing each other away, well I think Aegon tries in his own way, but Baela is very weary of him, and they have people in their ears (ahem Otto ahem Daemon). They have a duty though so in comes the arrangement.

Little by little they see more of each other's personalities shine through without the distraction of other people around. The more time they spend alone the harder it is to hold hide and hold back from the other. It’s a done deal.

It’s odd when people go out of their way in fanfiction to make Daemon have a (white) daughter that he dotes and openly loves and has a good relationship with, but then turn around and either erase Baela and Rhaena or never have Daemon or their OC acknowledge their (black/blackish) siblings/daughters. Especially when you take into consideration that he’s a sh!t father to said (black/blackish) daughters in the show which is what most of them base their fanfiction off of 🤷🏾‍♀️

I really have no words for their behavior. The fact that they’ll go out of their way to create so many white OCs that way Daemon has a daughter “that’s like him” all while pretending Baela who’s his carbon copy in female form (and Rhaena) doesn’t matter is really astounding to me.

The fact that they don’t see themselves or don’t care or say they aren’t racist(and will use the excuse that Baela and Rhaena are white in canon yet they hardly have any more content than they did prior to the show which definitely shouldn’t be the case) will never not be funny.

We should have a ton of heart-to-heart daddy-daughter scenes. We shouldn’t want another character only put in to serve as someone’s surrogate daughter when he already has two very much real and alive daughters.

Even outside of Daemon these girls should be talked about, praised, used in romantic pairings, etc. We should see way more than what we are seeing for them. It’s all so weird, but alas that’s fandom life in this crazy fandom(and in most fandoms cause unfortunately anti-Blackness always seeps in).

For me reading Fire&Blood it was clear to me that Daemon and Nettles were lovers but it wasn’t until I read about how when she left, Caraxes shattered every window in Jonquils Tower as she was leaving did I truly become convinced they were in love.

That scene was hands down the most romantic moment of Fire & Blood♥️ You can try to deny a lot of different aspects of their relationship, but yeah Caraxes shattering literally every window at the sight of Nettles leaving(and she's crying herself) shows how much Daemon genuinely loved her and she him. Homeboy was in pain and I will be crying when it happens on screen😭

They may have only known each other for a few months, but in those months they became each other's most important person😭

I thought I had seen it all until I realized there were people who actually thought Laena killing herself in arguably the most painful way possible (burning to death) was okay. Not only was the way she died different from the book (still tragic btw) but also a lot more traumatizing. Making the decision to burn yourself to death really says something about your mental state (and the fact that this happens after she admits to Daemon she knows she’s his second choice 🥴).

This situation really traumatized everyone. Daemon who watched (not really Laena’s fault because she didn’t know he was there but still) her daughters Baela and Rhaena (losing a parent especially a mother is hard enough but to loose a parent by means of suicide is ten times harder) and then of course Laena herself who choose to burn to death!

It seemed as if through episodes 5-7 the writes weren’t sure whether they wanted Daemon and Laena to be happy together. Because you can see in a few scenes where Daemon and Laena genuinely look happy to be around one another and then there are others where they look miserable. Also another thing that bugged was how in the book after Baela and Rhaena are born Daemon returns to King's Landing to get the crown’s (Viserys’s) favor bestowed upon his children. Whereas in the show the last time Daemon has talked to let alone seen Viserys was ten years ago. It’s almost as if it was another subtle (but effective) way to say how Show!Daemon is constantly putting his pride above the betterment of his own family.

When it comes to Balea and Rhaena the way I've had to hyper analysis both (but especially Rhaena’s) body language in order to get a sense of their personality because they barely talk is infuriating. The way they are being used as arm candy is infuriating. Their relationship with Daemon is infuriating. We have not seen Daemon interact with daughters in six years. Not only that but one of those daughters feels as if he ignores her while he shipped the other one off to Driftmark (I know warding is a common thing in Westeros but when you take into account Daemon’s relationship with his daughters it really makes him appear more shitty).

His relationship with Laena was also so poorly portrayed. Not only did it serve no purpose but to make Daemon look like a ass but it also made Laena (a black women) seem like the miserable second choice (to the white woman).

If that was infuriating/disappointing enough after her death (that he very traumatized by) he not only fucks Rhaenyra but also marries her. Laena and Harwin both just died. Laenor (who Rhaenyra claimed to love) just lost his sister, Balea and Rhaena their mother, and Jace and Luke (Joffrey too but he’s too small to understand) their biological father.

Speaking of Laenor I was not of a fan of how they made him appear to be a druken bum who abandons the children he swears he loves (especially since said man is a black man🙄).

Yeah, they loved it and thought what she did was okay and bada** and yah know not 100% because she was likely severely depressed herself/out of her mind from a difficult labor because they wanted Laena out of the way for their ship(in large part due to racism).

Yes, Laena dies in the book(s), but she dies with her husband by her side after he helps her ride on the back of Vhagar one last time per her wishes. She’s loved by him. She’d never traumatize him or their children because she's not some poor pitiful unwanted woman. They cut that out in favor of “let me go light myself on fire because my husband doesn’t love me.”

The treatment of Laena by the showrunners and the fandom is so foul considering how before her race-bending people said that she was Daemon’s most beloved wife(and the woman he loved the most cause they liked to pretend that Nettles was just lust). People acknowledged her importance to him, but since she became Blackish she was his second choice and Daemon never loved her as he did Rhaenyra(the woman he ended up choking out after she gave birth and will eventually abandon in favor of the actual woman he loves but I’m getting ahead of myself 😗).

Her relationship with Vhagar(a literal dragon) was her most important relationship. Or it’s so sad that we didn’t get to see Rhaenyra and Daemon slobbering on each other as Laena sat back and watched I mean it’s sad that we didn’t get to see Laena worshiping Rhaenyra I mean it’s so sad that Laena and Rhaenyra didn’t happen(little evidence for that it happened in the book). That’s what we should really be focusing on.

Who cares about her relationship with Daemon or her girls(which Rhaenyra’s rachet fans like to claim as hers because Queenie gave birth to a lizard and Laena was the only one who actually gave Daemon daughters. So they cope by saying Baela and Rhaena are her legacy and not show!Laena who birthed and raised them). Laena’s such a bada** 🙃

Sadly because of the fandoms meth induced delusions, I mean 100% canon observations/commentary on how Dumbnyra are soulmates and Daemon changes for Rhaenyra his one true love didn’t pan out how they wanted to(choke gate was instant karma🤣), they still harp on about Laena even though she’s second choice.

The show screwed Laena and her girls all the way over and the fandom used that to further their delusions. It’s not okay, but there is still hope for Baela and Rhaena and in the end, they've done a crap job with all the characters(so I feel a little less salty about the situation).

(I do hope that Daemon acknowledges how he didn’t treat Laena how he should’ve to them and says that he was distant because they reminded him too much of her. Again it’s not okay, but a conversation like that is needed).

Laenor’s characterization🫠 The only reason why they didn't kill him off(and why they made him into a “deadbeat”) is that they wanted to make Rhaenyra look better. It looks extremely bad to have her ordering her husband's death(or if she turns a blind eye to Daemon murdering him) so that she could marry Daemon.

Allegedly he’s going to die off-screen this season so that whole plotline was done solely to protect Rhaenyra’s image.

When either team black and team Green stans talk about Nettles, no matter the sides they always ALWAYS dim down her character to the relationship she has with Daemon and Rhaenyra especially Daemon and it's just pathetic on both sides. Green stans see her character as a child that has been groomed and use it as a "Ah ha!" Moment against Daemon's character, Team black stans see her as the reason why their stupid ship falls apart and both sides are just completely blind to her character. She's so much more than that, this girl who grew up ALONE on the streets and KEPT HERSELF ALIVE for 17 years was OUTSMARTED a bunch of highly trained and skilled soilders and was able to claim a wild dragon, Sheepstealer is the ONLY wild dragon that someone was able to claim and Nettles, someone who wouldn't know anything about dragons, didn't grow up around the culture of dragons etc was able to do that SHE DID THE IMPOSSIBLE. And yet, they want to use her character for their petty arguments when she is so much more than that. Also, I find it hilarious when people think of her character as some naive little girl who gets easily manipulated. You know who was a naive little girl that got easily manipulated? Rhaenyra! Do you know what makes Rhaenyra and Nettles different? Rhaenyra is a sheltered, spoiled princess who grew up in the comfort of castle walls, whereas Nettles has seen the real world. She's apart. If it is, she's not living some sheltered life she's seen and been through a lot in her youth. I'm sorry for the rant, but I'm just tired of seeing her character get dumbed down and used by both sides. Nettles is smart and cunning BEFORE the dance and AFTER the dance. When she gets sent away and ends up on her own again (with the addition of Sheepstealer), she kept herself and her dragon alive and became an actual deity among men, she was smart enough to do that. She's a fighter, she's a survivor, she's brave, she's compassionate, she's smart, she's cunning, she's caring, she's so much more than just some groomed child/mistress.

Pretty much. Which is why I’m just #team Nettles over here. It’s very clear that the vast majority of both teams don’t view her as an actual character in her own right and instead view her either as a nuisance(cue she’s only Daemon’s daughter and if you say otherwise, especially if you say Daemon loved her in a romantic capacity, I’ll say your a total liar and bury my head in the sand when you bring in facts) or a tool(cue poor Rhaenyra and Nettles, it’s so sad how Daemon groomed them both😔 Protect Nettles and the racist white woman who tried to kill her while she was possibly pregnant✊).

They do always try to dim her light and make her seem unimportant. Yeah, she’s a secondary character, but that’s never stopped the praise before. There are plenty of secondary players who have people who they actually care about and make up a ton of crap for.

However, with Nettles, even her accomplishments are picked over, stolen, and put on other characters with little backlash.

She’s the only known non-Valyrian dragonrider who claims a wild dragon. A prince who believes in Valyrian supremacy falls in love with her to the point where he’s willing to sacrifice his life for her.

Nettles is self-made. She’s self-taught. She’s loved for herself. She survives a freaking war and becomes a fire goddess/witch. Who wouldn’t want her? Who wouldn't want to be her? She’s the sh*t 😎

At this point, I’m over it. I’m waiting for her to get more than a handful of fans and to see her get a somewhat happy ending (unless the show wants to face major backlash by killing her off when she survives in the books, she’ll get her happy ending). - Nettles is specifically stated as a brown girl in the book. Take it up with George RR martin. The speculated actress for Nettles is a brown woman. You think she's black? That's okay since she's clearly of mixed heritage. Finished watching “House of The Dragon” for the first time a few weeks age and for the most part I really enjoyed it. But then then I started involving myself in fandom discussions ….is it weird that I thought it was weird how many people shipped Daemon and Rhaneyra? I would like to point out that I’ve not read Fire&Blood yet so maybe their relationship is different/better in the books but.....show wise I haven’t really seen anything to make me want anything they have (in their romantic relationship that is) for myself. Then the fact that he’s her Uncle has always rubbed me the wrong way. Of course people can ship what they want and I’m not trying to shame them or anything like that but it’s just a little weird to me.

I’ve been on the internet for a long while now so of course I know that fictional and real world incest exists and that there are different literatures that have incestuous relationships but for the most part (from what I’ve seen) either the book/show/movie paints it in a bad way or the actual fandom itself points out that it’s weird and unhealthy because it’s incest. I think “House Of The Dragon” may be the first show I’ve seen to do otherwise. Maybe I haven’t been properly “desensitized” to it since this is the first time I’ve ever really had an interest in anything by or based off of George R. R. Martin’s work. So tell me are the relationship(s) different in the books? Better? Worse?

It is very odd and no their relationship isn’t described as any better/romantic in Fire & Blood. In fact you could make the argument that it’s worse considering 1/2 of the passages that Dumbnyra stans argue show Daemon and Rhaenyra’s “love” are when she’s underage🙃

She’s like 8 here and Daemon is in his 20s:

Here they marry six months after both their spouses die which they claim is “romantic,” but it really reads more like a quickie wedding cause Rhaenyra got pregnant(and if they were really f*cking while Laena is alive why didn’t her dumba** get pregnant with Daemon’s silver haired child to throw off the scent that her children aren’t Laenor’s and why didn’t Daemon get her pregnant if he couldn’t stand to be apart from her and wanted to “protect” her🙃):

They also try to argue that Daemon(after disobeying his wife and queen's orders to save the actual woman he loved) died for Rhaenyra cause he’s taking out her greatest threat:

Even though her greatest threat is Daeron who has an army in addition to a dragon:

Keep in mind this was even before Ulf and Hugh betray Rhaenyra which may or may not have been in that letter, but Daemon for sure knows the greatest threat to Rhaenyra’s safety/reign is Daeron and not Aemond. Aemond was the minor leagues and getting himself “killed” to take him out did little to help Rhaenyra out. She’s most certainly be in dead water after he’s dead because she’d no longer have the dragons needed to win. They’d technically be tied at first, but one of her dragonriders is a child who’d easily be killed. It becomes a 2:3 fight and yeah Addam (bless him cause he actually should’ve left her behind) and Rhaenyra are going down.

And Rhaenyra even considers his abandoning her and saving Nettles an act of betrayal:

They try to use the book to support their ship, but if you read there is nothing romantic about this ship.

Very few prior to this show were hardcore Dumbnyra stans. In fact, most people said Laena was Daemon's greatest love(as a Nettles girl I don’t agree with this), but they screwed her and their relationship over on the show after they race-bent her.

Dumbnyra stans for whatever reason watched the show and thought a man grooming his underage niece (they call the scene where he’s giving her a necklace at 14 romantic) because he wanted to be closer to the throne/his bro was the hottest thing since sliced bread so they’ve said and done any and everything to support their delusions.

Dumbnyra only has the fanbase it does because it’s the only “real romantic pairing” with two white leads on the show thus far. They don’t really care about incest(although it’s a bonus to some of the extremely mentally ill members of their cult) they just like that they are two blonde haired white people. Plus this ship kinda has a built in fanbase(Jonerys, another another dry incest ship. They've not met in the books yet, but it's probably hearing that way if George ever finishes the books🙃).

A great deal of the shippers who do ship Dumbnyra do so because they thought for whatever reason Dumbnyra on HOTD would be Jonerys 2.0 done right since their last ship ended like this😊:

Honestly Dumbnyra shippers set themselves up for failure cause Dumbnyra was never supposed to be this epic romance that they made it out to be in their delusional little heads(a man giving his 14 year old niece jewelry isn’t the romantic serve they think it is and abandoning her in a brothel sure as hell isn’t hot. Those are literally the “best moments” of their ship on screen unless you want to count that beach scene🤣).

Which is why they gloated over Laena being screwed over (and still are obsessed with her despite the fact that she suffered from biased writing), tried to say that older!Dumbnyra have “mature chemistry” when two rocks have more chemistry than they do, why they started spazzing out after choke gate(which up until that point 90% still acted like this ship was the sh*t), and why anytime you bring up Nettles they have a panic attack and pretend like she won’t be on the show 🤣 It’s a sight to see.

I wouldn’t rag on them so much if they weren’t proven to be racist morons, but alas they seemingly can’t help targeting Black characters and Black fans(besides the ones who tap dance for them) with harassment so at this point f*ck 99% of them 🤷🏽‍♀️

What are your predictions for HOTD season 2?

Erm disappointment 🙃 🤣🤣🤣

Okay um, I’m hoping that after Blood & Cheese plays out(which should happen by episode 2) we see more of the Alicent from episodes 6 and 7 I’ll do whatever to protect my children and myself Alicent rather than I don’t know what the hell is going on Alicent from episode 8 and 9. I need to see politically competent Alicent.

House Hightower will be great(I just really want to see the inside of Hightower. That’s all I ask for).

The Lannisters get to show off again that they are rich b*tches💰(Jason will show how much of a lovable idiotic flop he is).

Daeron will be the new it boy(still won’t overtake Aemond or Daemon, but he’ll give them a run for their money).

Dumbnyra will be away from each other for most of the season from what I’ve heard(and as their #1 hater outside of Ryan Condal that is music to my ears🎼).

Daemon will be trying to prove himself because finding out his brother dearest didn’t trust him/never saw him as his heir is a crushing blow for him, but he’ll be better than ever once he meets his Netty 😏 He’ll acknowledge that Rhaena exists and they’ll have a heart to heart 🙏🏽(Ryan have him talk to his only daughters 🙃).

Rhaena will get a dragon egg and realize that she was a cool girl all along😎

(Or she’ll pull a Mulan, dye her hair, and become a nurse for the Green camp. At the end of season 2, she meets Gwayne/Garmund/Daeron in disguise who is injured the two fall in love. She nurses him back to health as the world around them falls apart. Eventually, they marry in secret, comfort each other as their family members die by one, and survive the war together. Aegon will become a sad hoe(literally).

Helaena will just speak in prophecies(I mean she already does this, but she'll really amp up predicting stuff, including everyone's death).

Criston finds out about the situation(🤢) and beats and/or threatens Larys creepy a** for Alicent(that nasty foot hoe deserves it 🤷🏽‍♀️).

Aemond feels the burden of his responsibilities when Aegon is injured and he becomes regent(setting the stage for him finding comfort in Alys for season 3).

Rhaenyra will be a more active participant since they want to make her into a #girl-boss feminist(Seeing Nettles claiming Sheepstealer will shake her up a bit).

Mysaria will say her involvement with Blood & Cheese was revenge for the children in the fighting pits(still doesn’t make sense but they made her into a “child activist”).

Baela will want to go with Rhaenys to Rooks Rest, but she’s held back because of the danger. She breaks down when Granny dies 😔

Corlys will continue to be an idiot until wifey dies then he finally gets it.

Addam and Alyn are Ser Vaemond’s sons 🤞🏽(Let him get the last laugh).

Lots of Dragonseed deaths during episodes 5-6(I’ll probably laugh at half of them especially when Alyn is almost ended by my baby’s baby).

From the looks of things, Addam Velaryon claiming Seasmoke will be a pretty big deal. There’s a leak that Laenor is dead and Rhaenyra finds this out by Addam claiming Seasmoke.

A little flirtation between Alyn and Baela (Again Ryan Condal personally told me Alyn will be good, kind, and loving to Baela. He’ll sweep her off her feet. Jace who? Jace what? He’s like the perfect future husband guys trust me. He's not a hoe. That's just Green propaganda 🥲).

Sara Snow will be there. Come on it’s too messy to scrape and Jace is less interesting than watching paint dry. He needs this and Baela needs an real man🤐

I know some people have reservations about Gayle now, but I wholeheartedly believe that people are going to fall in love with her portrayal of Alys(and Alysmond will rightfully overtake Pukemond as Aemond’s #1 ship). Hopefully, Alys roasts Daemon like how she did in that leaked audition tape 🤐

Judging by how much they are keeping Nettles under wraps, her claiming Sheepstealer will be absolutely epic. This is my most anticipated moment for season two. I want all the stops pulled out. I want Nettles to make the connection that dragons will accept food for rides on her own or hear something in passing on how the first Valyrians claimed/tamed their dragons and then figure it out from there.

(Daemon will be upset to hear about Nettles at first/view her as a threat because she shouldn’t exist in his Valyrian supremacist mind, but then he sees her and is like 😍).

There was a “leak” that allegedly stated Netty and Daemon meet sometime during the latter half of the season. They take a liking to each other and at some point, they go off together but come back to help in the Battle of the Gullet(BOTG). I’m not too crazy about this leak since I want Netty to be very wary of him at first instead of just jumping to be with him. He needs to really work for her affection.

The season will probably end on news that the Triarchy is attacking the Gullet(ending the season with them preparing for the BOTG). However, one of the “leaks” did say that allegedly the Blacks will take Kings Landing before the BOTG so they may plan their attack from there(hence Daemon and Nettles coming back to help them).

Not really a prediction, but I hope we see Johanna Lannister(seriously if HBO cuts her I’m considering it a crime). She’s like my favorite minor character during the Dance(and what happens to the Westerland women shows once again how Queenie doesn’t care about women except for herself). Now she’s what I’d call a bada** woman 🙌🏽

You want to self-insert to Netty so badly you want to put a brown teen girl to be groomed and be placed in between an ongoing marital dispute. It's disgusting how you talk about her. Nettles was a homeless young woman. She didn’t have access to bathing facilities, but she definitely knew how soap and water worked 🙃Daemon more than likely taught her etiquette for court life and he gifted her things that she didn’t have because again she was freaking homeless 🤦🏽‍♀️ He did what he did because he loved her and wanted to make sure that she’d be able to navigate in her new life. Not because he was grooming her.

Daemon isn’t a good person. He’s selfish and he commits some of the most heinous acts during the Dance. However, he isn’t a total monster. He has his moments and Netty is one of them.

If he had actually groomed her and didn’t genuinely love her he would've let Rhaenyra’s orders be carried out(or he would’ve gone back “home”) because she had become an inconvenience.

Four, Netty more than likely will be aged up on the show. So since you won’t be able to say but but 17 isn’t legal in our world, you guys will need to come up with a better excuse not to ship Dettles than “OMG you want her to be groomed.”

Five, do I have to quote myself again🙃 You want to talk about racial undertones yet you won’t acknowledge that the one who abused/tried to abuse Nettles was Rhaenyra. She’s the one who tries to commit a racially motivated hate crime after saying her husband can sleep around(see Mysaria whose white in the books), but just not with Black women and he most certainly can’t fall in love with them. I don’t have to make Rhaenyra into a villain. She is one when it comes to Netty 🤷🏽‍♀️

White women can be just as harmful to Black women as men(Rhaenyra shows that). Nettles story is more than just her relationship with Daemon(and I don’t think she “fixes him,” he comes to realize a lot of stuff himself of what is and isn’t important during the Dance), but he’s very much a part of that story, and as I’ve said before, showing Black women in romantic relationships in media is important.

We don’t need any more strong independent Black women who don’t need a man stereotypes perpetuated. So if you want to ignore that to try and make their relationship abusive(when it isn’t), or make her into a sexless Mammy who only lives to serve Rhaenyra because that’s the position you are comfortable with Black women being in, that’s a you and your inherent biases issue.

You guys refuse to acknowledge the importance of her relationship with Daemon because you don’t and never will identify with or self-insert into Black characters. You’re never forced to see Black character's humanity.
