SHUCKS... THANKA YOU... funny enough i already answered 11 for all three a while back but i'll definitely answer the other!!

41) How do they feel about children?

Buck would have you believe he hates kids, but really he's more just very unpracticed with and unsure of how to deal with them (at least he thinks so - he's actually pretty okay with them, particularly slightly older kids like Minnie, if he's not overthinking it too badly). Between his upbringing and current lifestyle he doesn't run into kids too often, especially not in situations where he needs to like, interact with them extensively or be responsible for them, so if he is put in that situation he is SUPER out of his element.

Davey, on the other hand, loves kids and is super comfortable around them. Like, he's just got Natural Dad Instincts. (In some ways he's a little selfishly happy Minnie decided to Assert Herself into his and Buck's life, because it's a taste of having a family he wouldn't otherwise get to have in his current Villain Lifestyle. he can't help but Dad that kid a little bit, and he'd really like it if either Minnie figures out his and buck's Deal/Buck tells her outright so he can be a Proper Uncle.)

Minnie's a kid herself (not that she'd agree with that assessment; she is thirteen, thank you very much, she's basically a grownup actually,) but I think, much like Buck, she's very uncomfortable with littler kids due to lack of experience with them. Like, she doesn't have many close friends her age, let alone ones with younger siblings, and she's an only child, and she doesn't really have any cousins or younger extended family members to spend time with. It is entirely possible she's never even seen a Human Baby in real life outside of, like, passing by one in a car for 2 seconds or something like that.

hi! i just binge-read all of OOIM in almost one sitting, and i have Thoughts about it, and i didn’t think dumping them all unorganised in your ao3 comment section would be the best option? so i’m just going to gush a little bit in your inbox here. i hope you don’t mind!!

overall, i was hooked INSTANTLY- i love your characterisation, especially for jeremy 1.0, and the repurposing of lyrics to a repeated dialogue was one of my favourite bits (also!!! your rewriting of lyrics to fit the fic and to serve as a chapter summary?? that was SO clever i loved guessing the song they came from and humming them before i started the new chapter….)

before you mentioned TGWDLM, i got the vibes - the whole “everyone you know is slowly being infected with this Thing” was written so legitimately scary to me. like it was Tense. turn a corner and yup, they got squipped. oh so did your other classmate. yep, and them too. i’m a big fan of TGWDLM, and i LOVED the apocalypse feel in OOIM; like yeah, they’re trying to stop the Horror, but to do that they also have to Survive, and the odds of that happening aren’t looking too good either. literally every chapter i was screaming JEREMY!!! SQUEREMY!!!!! GO CHECK ON MICHAEL!!! PLEASE!!!!

(all the talk of squeremy being michael’s meat shield…….. houuuuh. i knew something had to be coming but it still HURT!!!)

Thank you! I wouldn't mind writing Jeremy 1.0 sometime (or Christine, who is fun to write) but the opportunity hasn't come up. I kind of sandwiched in the "talking to themself" chapter because I wanted a little reminder of their roots. They can still do a great impression of both Jeremy and the SQUIP if anyone asks. The only person they've asked has said no. :( :'(

I've been surprised at the great reaction to those lyric changes. They're fun but I know I came up with them on a whim at the last second, so it's nice seeing folks enjoy them.

I started rereading that chapter today, and I think your own writing will go through a cycle of "this is brilliant" -> "i still love this" -> "oh no it's cringe!!" -> don't look at it for a year -> "this is brilliant" Sadly, that chapter is at the cringe stage for me right now. I feel like the pacing was all over the place. But it was supposed to be a single date, and Michael is the one who made it a multi-scene production.

In my writing drafts, I have a running tally of who and who isn't SQUIPped and whether this is common knowledge yet or not lol.

😂 Sadly a pretty un-Jeremy-ish thing for them to do, to ignore Michael that long (if only because of their history making that so touchy).

I have an open offer for whenever I haven't updated the fic in 2 months that, if you want to, you can message me for plot spoilers. At some point I was going to just post the plot summary and leave it as a deadfic (because I always hoped authors would do just that, if the fic would never be finished anyway)... Yet, 4 or 5 years later, here we are. I'll write more at some point. Hard to tell when that point will be though. I wrote like 40k in a month and then the rest has been in random bits and pieces since then.

It is!! In fact Kestrels are one of the two species that apprentices are allowed to trap from the wild (the other being red tailed hawks obv). You're not gonna catch any large stuff with them like you could with a big red tail LOL but everyone I've talked to about flying kestrels has said that they're an absolute BLAST. The only challenge is managing their weight, since they're so tiny its REALLY easy for them to go from "flying weight" (aka the weight where they're responsive to the falconer and ready to hunt) to Dead, so during the hunting season you've gotta feed and weigh those suckers like 3x a day. Which is why i am terrified of flying a kestrel LMAO they're SO fucking small and delicate

BMC TUMBLR REMAKE (!!PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST!!)

okaay if youve seen my recent posts youll know that we MIGHT be doing an actual remake of be more chill right here on tumblr dot com! run by me ofc but i might need help down the line so you can sign up for that. its gonna be a completely fan made thing like im talking singing voice acting drawing music editing everything

ive gotten quite a lot of positive reactions to that post so ive made a google form if youre interested in participating! options include major roles minor roles editors artists and more take your pick

if youre not the best at singing then you can sign up for ensemble, for example the bg voices in guy that id kinda be into. no worries at ALL if you cant sing or draw or anything, theres gonna be a speaking ensemble too, for example the overlapping shouting in the smartphone hour. you can pick more than one role, for example ensemble + visuals, cause this is not a very big fandom so we're gonna need duplicates but if you want a major character role i'd prefer if you just stick with that tbh. if you want a major character role you can also pick more than one character! you can specify you want to try for rich, the squip and brooke or whatever. youre not actually auditioning for those roles yet i just need to see if theres enough people to cover every role

EDIT YO GUYS im sorry i forgot but deadline is end of the month! don't worry about timezones, as long as it's april for you you can still sign up. AGAIN I AM JUST CHECKING IF ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED so don't worry if you can't sign up now for whatever reason. you'll get another chance in the future, like an official sign up form. CHANGES WEEKLY BUT: Usually im a huge fan of Java Sparrows, silly little scringles from Indonesia. They're called Java Sparrows specifically as they're from Java Indonesia! However, they're popular housebirds all across Asia Current fixation is the birds I'm getting at my feeder for this year, so:

House Sparrow - Not to be confused with the House Finch, whom also looks like the Cassin's Finch but has much less red/pink, these little JOKERS are around CONSTANTLY. They're invasive from I believe north Africa(?), and have thrived thanks to urban resources like feeders or just farmland. Oh and they're just HYPER VIOLENT, where much like the Java Sparrow they can take over nests and cave in the skulls of other birds with their silly big fucking beaks.
