long weekend, longer weekdays

it's mid week and I totally forgot to post about my weekend back in chicago. I've been extremely busy studying for my math class. I'm trying so hard. I had a quiz today and I think I did pretty good?? So, I took a bus home friday after my last class and ran into the apartment once it was dark. My sister has completely taken over my bed- seriously though she said she doesn't even sleep in her bed anymore. I stroked every lively green (and dying yellow) plant in the living room and smiled when I saw the bright orange kitchen walls I've missed sitting doing homework, eating dinner, and arguing with maggie in. I hadn't drank coca in 2 months, first drink I had home was a coca. I chatted with ama and apa while my mom got ready for work. I walked to El Faro and ordered my favoite thing on the menu. A burrito de pollo acompanada con uuuuuun limonada fresca. She works from 9pm -7 am at Chon's club now. She's insane but the only thing I can do is support her. I caught up watching old re-runs of Law and Order and Criminal Minds. I ate all the reese's my grandpa was hiding in the dining room cabinet for me, left overs from halloween. Saturday I spent all morning with family. I went over tia Lola's and played with Erin Olivia (who has grown up so much!!) and spent a good 10 minutes disciplining (sp?) Lorenzo. He's five yrs old- still in the terrible 2's stage. I dont think he's ever getting out of the stage. When we were leaving he brought me the fake white rose in the pics. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and gave it to me. It had a tag on it with a picture of an older male with writing that said rest in peace on it. I gasped and showed it to my tia and she kept the tag and let him give it to me. I wonder what goes on in his mind at times. The next day was his baptism. He was one of the reasons I went home this weekend and I'm glad I did. Can we laugh about how much I look like a Chola in the pic. My mom smiled at it and said I look like her when she was a pregnant 19 yr old. Lucio took the picture before I smiled.

I loved spending my time with family this past weekend. I also got an unexpected facebook message from a super old friend. We catched up and it was nice. It kind of made me think. I haven't gotten caught up with bad people from my past. This is just a little reminder for future me reading this to never let myself have bad people come back in my life. I can do better. I am doing better. I cannot stress this enough.

I dont know if I should see my therapist joel friday. I've been doing good these past two weeks but evey time I see him it ends up rlly helping me. I always get nervous when it comes to seeing him. don't know why. I'll just go.

He paid  620 by his visa card for full cover, and was sent His Insurance documents. However, he was stoppd by the Police late at night for a Routine check, a few Months later, as It had come up on the NPR that he was driving without Insurance cover. He showed the Police his Documents and he was told that this company does not exist, and he is the 20th driver they have stopped and found that they have fake documents. However, the police did not press charges in this instance, but told him they have been trying to track these scammers for a whilr, but all they know is they are operating from Nigeria, and Latvia, but keep moving around. They advised the Lad in future to use a well known Insurance company or visit a good insurere in person to get Insurance. So God knows how many other drivers are on the road with useless Insurance cover.

Our family has had State Farm for 70 years now, several generations, and in the last 10 years or so we have been progressively more & more disappointed in their caring and customer service. Maybe its just the 'assistants' that my local SF agent (who never talks to his clients any more) use, they both seem to have just horrible attitutudes, sarcastic, and act like you are a complete PITA every time you call. I even have an email from his main assistant that I asked her to forward to the actual agent because I was told he was the only one that could answer my question, and just today I was SHOCKED when I re-read the email, and saw in the forward of my email when his assistant sent it on to the actual SF agent, She said This guy will just not give up, he keeps haunting me about this issue! I couldn't freaking believe it. I was going to forward the email to SF headquarters in Bloomington IL, but then as I read more & more about state farm I saw they are completely independent agents in each office, and have literally NO ONE who is their boss or who can reprimand or correct them. This is unbelievable. If I treated my customers at my work place & gave them the rotten attitude treatment we get from our SF office here, I guarantee you I would lose my job. No one is in charge at state farm obviously. She did say (and I understand this being required) that in order to have is classified as Antique/Classic/Historic, you have to have an appraisal done on the vehicle as if it just came off the show room floor -then the premiums would be much lower if you had full coverage on it, as historic/classic . A friend of mine was telling me about how his son was Scammed by a fake online Insurance Company. They are advertising car Insurance 50% cheaper, which of course is attracting young drivers. He paid  620 by his visa card for full cover, and was sent His Insurance documents. However, he was stoppd by the Police late at night for a Routine check, a few Months later, as It had come up on the NPR that he was driving without Insurance cover. He showed the Police his Documents and he was told that this company does not exist, and he is the 20th driver they have stopped and found that they have fake documents. However, the police did not press charges in this instance, but told him they have been trying to track these scammers for a whilr, but all they know is they are operating from Nigeria, and Latvia, but keep moving around. They advised the Lad in future to use a well known Insurance company or visit a good insurere in person to get Insurance. So God knows how many other drivers are on the road with useless Insurance cover.
