hi elliot! i am sliding into the bday event hehehe ;)
may i please request a drabble with akaashi keiji? my name is nova, my pronouns are she/her, and could it be a romantic matchup? if it’s not much of a hassle, could it perhaps be that model au i was raving about and a prompt that has something along the lines of “the way you look right now makes me want to xyz…” with that xyz being anything you’re comfortable with writing or just anything in general! the age doesn’t really matter much to me but i think aged up makes sense in the context ;) thank you so so much and take your time with this!
ilysm 💕
sooooo its gets a LITTLE suggestive at the end but thats fine
anyway
i hope you enjoy, im honored to have written this. so here's your first kiss with Keiji in your model/designer au

“I’m sorry to impose like this…”
“Nonsense, Miss Nova, I really don’t mind.”
“Yes, but I’m sure you're busy and would rather not have company--”
“I don’t consider it bothersome company if it’s someone whose presence I enjoy.” Akaashi smiled to himself, turning back the hallway. “Give me a moment, I’ll get you something to dry off a little.”
She hadn’t intended on getting stuck in the rain. However, she still had a 20-minute walk home and it was pouring. Akaashi was a lot closer than her apartment, so she kinda...showed up. In the middle of the evening. Soaked from head to toe and smiling awkwardly at him.
Akaashi was so caring about the people around him--even though they were just friends because of work, he was still kind enough to get her cleaned up and let her stay for a couple of minutes.
She walked further into the living room, standing off to the side so she didn’t get any of his furniture wet. He came back a few minutes later with several towels (she needed them) and a change of clothes. That was his. Wow. Okay.
“Bathroom is just back the hall, first door on the left. And here’s these until your stuff dries. Don’t want my favorite model catching a cold, do we?”
Nova felt her face get hot. “Thank you,” she said after an awkward pause, taking the clothes and heading back to the bathroom to change.
Favorite? Did he really mean that? She was his favorite? He probably designed outfits for--well, god knows how many people, and she’s his favorite? Of all people?
Now wasn’t the time to freak out. Maybe, just maybe, she could relax enough to have a quiet night and get to know him a little better. Not that she didn’t already spend a ton of time with him, but she’d take any time she could get with him.
She pulled the shirt he’d even her over her head--it smelled really good. Like him, actually. He smelled good.
“Now is not the time,” she mumbled, attempting to dry her hair off more. It was messy, but thankfully she had a hair tie with her. But no, it wasn’t the time to think about how amazing Akaashi was, or how nice he smelled, or how comfy his clothes were--
Nova walked out into the living room again to see Akaashi on the couch. He smiled at her when she came out, gesturing for her to join him. She sat on the other end of the couch, curling up into a ball.
“Did you eat?” he asked, putting a throw blanket over her legs. “Also, would you like anything to drink? I have soda and iced tea--”
“You’ve already done so much for me, Akaashi--”
“Just, Keiji. Please. And really, I insist. I don’t mind at all.” He stood, walking out to his kitchen, only to come back a couple of minutes later with drinks and some snacks in hand. “Here, I—well, I hope you like something here. And here’s iced tea.”
“How’d you know I love that?”
“Lucky guess?” he shrugged, sitting down back in his spot. “That uh—that shirt fits you nice. It was from my high school years so I hoped it would fit…”
She looked down—the black and white jersey had a bold 5 on the front and back, with little accents of yellow in stripes everywhere. “What did you play?”
“Volleyball. That’s how I met my friend Bokuto that I mentioned the other day. He plays pro now, actually.”
“That’s so amazing! I did a little volleyball, too—what did you play?”
“Setter.”
“No way, me too! It was fun but I was more focused on other things.”
He nodded in agreement. “Yeah, that’s why I stopped after high school. I ended up being the captain in my third year, though, which was…well, one of the best years of my life. It was pretty amazing.”
“Something like that always is. I can tell your friend means a lot to you.”
“How’s that?”
“You smile a little when you talk about him. Just a little.”
From there, however, his smile spread to the rest of his face. Nova noticed how beautiful blue his eyes were, the same ones she’d stared at so many times while he fitted her for dresses and any other thing they were together for. But when he smiled, they shined. His eyes crinkled in the corners and his nose scrunched up a little. He was genuinely beautiful. Like he should be the model on stage.
“You’re looking at me funny,” he said, turning towards her. He inched over, getting a closer look at her face. “Why?”
She stared for a moment, unsure of what to say. She was staring at him because she thought he was cute, dammit, but she couldn’t just say that. What was she supposed to say??
“You uh—you have a beautiful smile, Keiji.”
His name rolled off her tongue much easier than she thought it would have. She was nervous to use it at first, but now it seemed so easy.
“Mine can never compare to yours, Miss Nova.”
“Just Nova.”
“Alright then, Nova.”
They stared at each other for a long time, unsure who would make the next move. She didn’t know if she should say something, or—
“Actually, if you want to come with me, I have a picture of my team and me in my second year. I think we were at our peak, then—I keep the picture since it was the year my friend was captain.”
She took a deep breath, finally diverting her eyes from his. That sounded like a great idea. A distraction. Something to keep her from thinking too much.
Nova nodded and stood, following him back to his room. On the bedside table, there was a picture of a bunch of excited teenage boys, all in various numbered jerseys that matched the one she was wearing. He picked it up and shoed it to her, pointing out each of their names. “This is Konoha, and this one is Washio, and this is Komi--apparently, he’s an actor now. I just talked to them the other day and they all sounded like they were doing great.”
She had her eyes fixed on him while he spoke, but took a moment to see who he was talking about. “And that guy in the back with the number four jersey, that’s…”
“Bokuto, who I mentioned, yeah. He’s amazing.”
“I can tell.”
He set the photo down and turned towards her. Neither of them made an effort to move. It was the same staring contest they had in the living room, both trying to figure out what the other was thinking. There wasn’t much they could do until someone decided to make a move, unfortunately.
“The way you look…” he mumbled, barely audible despite how close their faces were. “The way you look right now makes me want to kiss you.”
Nova hadn’t realized she was holding her breath until he spoke again. She leaned slightly closer, as did he, until their lips almost touched. He looked at her, no doubt looking for any sign that what he said wasn’t okay, but she wanted to just--
“Kiss me, Keiji.”
The moment she said that he closed the gap between the two of them. His lips found hers for the first time, and she felt like she was walking on air. Her heart beat out of her chest when his hands trailed a little lower, holding her by her waist, tight against him.
He took a step forward, so she took one back. They followed this pattern until the back of her legs hit the bed. She fell back onto the bed, Keiji following suit on top of her.
Their kiss broke in an attempt not to hurt themselves, but he didn’t go back to it immediately. He stared at her for a while, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips.
“You’re staring at me funny,” she teased, her hands coming up to hold either side of his face. “Something on your mind?”
“You’re beautiful,” he blurted out, his cold hand resting just under the hem of her shirt. She jumped, not expecting the shock of the cold, and both laughed. “Sorry, I guess I'm a little chilly.”
They looked at each other for longer, still. Nova couldn’t understand how someone could look so amazing in simply a t-shirt and sweats. But his eyes sparkled like diamonds, and his face lit up when he smiled at her. At her. Because she was the object of his affection finally, and he was hers, and it was unbelievably perfect.
“Is this okay?” he asked. “I--I think I really like you, Nova. I don’t want to do anything too fast.”
She nodded with a smile, leaning up to press a quick kiss to his lips. “It’s fine, Keiji. With me, at least. You’re sure it's okay with you?”
“I don’t think I’ve wanted anything more in my life than just wanting to be with you right now.”
He leaned down to kiss her again. She would have stayed there forever if she could.
