i'm honestly at a loss for words. i was expecting a straightforward "thank you for your email! i support israel and blahblahblah" not "thank you for supporting israel!" because i said no such thing ??? i sent a long detailed email expressing my disgust towards israel and saying i support palestine — the crazy part is that this response was sent twice, word for word

The Senate is investigating whether former Attorney General Loretta Lynch interfered in the Clinton email investigation
The senators — Republicans Lindsay Graham and Chuck Grassley and Democrats Dianne Feinstein and Sheldon Whitehouse — were prompted in part by former FBI Director James Comey's June Senate testimony, in which he said that he was "confused" and "concerned" by Lynch's treatment of the investigation. Comey said that Lynch's widely criticized meeting on an airport tarmac in Pheonix with former Bill Clinton in June 2016, as well as her request that he call the investigation a "matter," convinced him that he had to take action to prove the Clinton investigation was being fairly conducted. "In an ultimately conclusive way, that was the thing that capped it for me," Comey said.
I had to do something separately to protect the credibility of the investigation, which meant both the FBI and the Justice Department.
part by former FBI Director James Comey
In a Friday afternoon statement, Graham's spokesperson wrote that the senators were also prompted by two reports: one that a Democratic operative had assured colleagues that Lynch would prevent the email investigation from "going too far," and another report that then-chair of the Democratic National Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz told Leonard Benardo of the Open Society Foundations that Lynch had told Clinton campaign staffer Amanda Renteria as much. The senators sent letters to Benardo, OSF General Counsel Gail Scovell, Renteria, and Lynch asking for more information.
Graham and the Senators seek details about the reported communication, copies of any related documents and whether the FBI contacted them to investigate the alleged communication.

Thanks for Everything, Geekadelphia
Thank you, Geekadelphia and everybody who made it the site and community that it is.
The original email chain between Eric Smith and me that got me writing for Geekadelphia is lost to the depths of Gmail, but I am happy that I can point to an article about the Franklin Institute by Ben Novack as the piece that let me think I could be part of this wonderful world, too. I think I sent Eric my resume and offered to send him my academic writing samples, as well. He politely declined and encouraged me to start right away. Since then, I’ve had so many heartwarming opportunities through this site. I toured barns in Bucks County.* I enjoyed free, intimate access at the Wagner Free Institute of Science and the Rosenbach. The National Museum of American Jewish History invited me to preview their Bill Graham exhibit. Kevin Allison, Chris Gethard, and Jen Kirkman, some of my comedy heroes, called me so I could ask them questions and tell them about Philadelphia. Natalie Wall and I first talked to each other for a piece I was writing about her Awkward Sex storytelling show in the summer of 2015, which has turned into a collaboration and friendship in multiple forms. Plus, I had the chance over and over to interview people I know for the site and hear about their geeky loves: Quinton J. Alexander, Jacquie Baker, and Matt Aukamp and Pat Reber to name only a sample. Writing for Geekadelphia has given me so much knowledge and love.
My to-do list for Geekadelphia isn’t done. I still have books to read, interviews to conduct, and nooks to explore. If you’re reading this and want to support local writers, know that I and many other writers look forward to creating in the future.
And on top of all that, I’ve met the area’s finest geeks at the Geek Awards for the past two years. Each time brought tears to my eyes as I witnessed the power of passions.
Thanks for being a significant, impactful part of my Philadelphia, Geekadelphia.
* – I’m sorry that I sent a very long, badly formatted Word document draft of this piece to the entire writers’ list. It was a n00b mistake. Mikey and Eric, I hope you have forgiven me.
