i want to see sugar daddy elvis written by you so baddd😩😩
no because i get such a warm vibe from sugar daddy elvis.
i mean i like kinky sugar daddy elvis but soft sugar daddy elvis has my heart.
elvis is so in love with you in so many ways that he buys anything for you, even if you don't need it.
“ elvis... i don't know how to cook... ” you said while holding some kind of pink and white apron.
“... you'll learn with me! ” he excitedly said, extending his hands, clearly thrilled of sharing something domestic with you.
he is also the kind of man to rebuilt something *anywhere* just for you to feel comfortable.
“ mister presley, who- but, who- i mean who-. ”
“ who? who? who? what are you, an owl!? i said, i want the room to be pink- i mean, i'm not asking you to fucking fly! ”
“ y-yes, mister presley, rrr- right away... ”
he gets mean so be by his side whenever you request something to other people because elvis does it perfectly... other people, well.
“ she said flamingo, this is salmon. ”
“ sir, it's the same. ”
elvis put his hands on his waist. “ boy, you better don't talkback to me. change the color. ”
the 20 year old man gulped. “ yes, sir... ”
elvis and you are the cute couple of the year, and the following year! and the following year... and the following year, and- well, you get the point!
“ daddy, i want a lollipop. ” you said while turning to him, sitting besides him in the couch.
“ baby, i jus' bought you a whole bag of candy. ”
“ it didn't had lollipop in it. ”
he smirked. “ oh, you cheeky girl. ” he threw himself on you, smothering you with kisses while you wholeheartedly laughed.
you both also play some board games, usually with his friends- his real friends.
“ jerry! ” you pointed at him while the board of monopoly sat on the table. “ pay up! ”
everyone laughed at your extended hand and your proud smile of winning something as difficult as monopoly, or so elvis told you.
“ well, seems like someone else is taking elvis' role, huh? ” steve cheekily said.
elvis stopped laughing, throwing a popcorn to steve's face. “ shut the hell up! ” he said, making everyone laugh, holding back his laugh at steve trying to protect himself from the popcorn attack.
it was the sundays you love the most.
because it would be when the fans would go to their families and leave you and elvis alone for the night. you would pack a kind of picnic on the grass while elvis played the guitar. the beautiful sound of his voice, the small sound of crickets and the fire that elvis built in front of you.
you clapped at the end, showing him in compliments before cuddling to him. your cheek in his chest and his hand on your belly.
“ thank you for lovin' me, doll. ”
you looked up at him finding elvis already looking at you with that beautiful shine in his eyes.
“ thank you for allowing me to love you. for showing me the real you. truly. ” you whispered.
yes, your relationship was like a sonnet.
the beautiful sonnet of elvis and y/n presley.

A/N I hated this when I started writing it but turns out I was just hungry. I ate and now I kinda vibe with it. I love love love this universe’s future almost more than the og novel universe lowkey-
Tumblr media
August 30, 1966
Two pairs of little hands slid the delicate china plates onto the laminate countertop, tiny sticky fingers pushing the plates safely onto the surface ever so gently. Loretta glanced down from washing the dinner dishes, meeting two mirrored pairs of bright blue eyes and lightly freckles noses and her simple glance had two identical smiles beaming up at her.
“Thank you, my loves.” she said sweetly, petting them each on the head. “You’re great helpers.”
Daniel came up behind her and set the last dishes on the counter before pressing a kiss to her cheek, “Dinner was amazing as usual. Thank you.”
“Well I can’t let my family starve, now, can I?” Loretta joked, patting his chest as he leaned in to kiss her lips, the two children wrapping themselves around his legs like he was play structure. With one four-year-old sitting on each foot, Daniel was stuck in place and he held himself up on the counter as he looked down at them.
“Oh my…it looks like I have two super cute monsters tied to my legs.” Daniel tisked, bending down to tickle each of them until they were shrieking with laughter and scrambled off the floor and rushing down the hallway. Daniel called after them playfully, “It’s bath-time, little monsters, you better get upstairs before I catch you!”
Two little pairs of feet stomped up the stairs and the simple sound of the twins traipsing through the house always made Loretta’s heart warm and she leaned over to kiss Daniel’s shoulder, her hands still wet from washing the dishes. Daniel glanced back at her, leaning back against the counter with his hands behind him on the granite, catching her staring.
“What?” he chuckled lightly.
Loretta shrugged and bit back her smile, turning back to the soapy water in the kitchen sink, “Nothin’.”
“Nothin’?” Daniel mocked her, slipping closer and grabbing the front of her pleated blue pants with his pinky to urge her towards him too.
Loretta leaned in towards him until their noses brushed; always liking to linger on that excited flutter in her heart before their lips met – a feeling that never once faltered since their very first kiss nearly eight years before. Daniel’s hand slid slowly around her waist and across her lower back before pulling her right up against him so they were chest to chest, lips grazing ever so gently.
“I love you.” Daniel breathed, eyes flicking between hers and her lips in their close proximity.
“I love you too.” Loretta smiled, finally kissing him sweetly after just enough buildup.
A sudden thud from upstairs had them separating quickly and looking to the ceiling as if they could see what had happened from a full storey apart. Daniel scratched his fingers lightly over Loretta’s back for a moment and their eyes met again.
“I should go see what they’re up to up there.” Daniel whispered.
“Mhm.” Loretta chuckled. “I’ll be up for bedtime.”
She left him with one more kiss before he was pinching her hip lovingly and heading off down the hallway towards the stairs. She watched him disappear around the corner and smiled at his playful call up to the children,
“All arms, legs, and heads must be accounted for when I get up there!”
Fourteen foot steps later, a pair of laughing shrieks filled the house and Loretta’s heart absolutely swelled with glee as she turned back to the dishes. She flicked on the radio and sang softly as she scrubbed, not even bothering to overpower the sound of her family upstairs.
In the main bathroom at the top of the straight flight of stairs, the door was left open and two sets of children’s clothes were scattered over the floor and some even having landed in the hallway. Daniel was knelt on the tile beside the filled bathtub, his sleeves rolled up to the elbows, as he scrubbed shampoo through two full heads of brown hair.
“It’s a good thing I have two hands, huh? It would be very difficult to wash you both if I only had one.” Daniel said.
“Not if you only had one of us, Daddy.” his daughter stated, busy pushing a toy boat through the soapy water.
“I would never ever only want one of you, so that is not even an idea.” Daniel tisked.
“You wouldn’t want only one arm too.” his son argued lightly.
“You are very right.” Daniel agreed. “When did I get such smart children?”
The four-year-old twins just giggled, staring up at him adoringly from their warm bath. He booped each of their noses, leaving a small blob of soap suds behind on each of them, and they both sneezed at the same time, making all three of them laugh.
“Okay,” Daniel grabbed the small plastic pail from the water and filled it up with clean water, “Diana dearest, you’re first. Eye closed.”
She scrunched her eyes closed and pinched her nose so he could dump the water over her head and rinse the shampoo from her hair. She rubbed the water out of her eyes and reached for her toy boat again.
“Your turn, Presley. Eyes closed.” Daniel said, filling the pail again.
The slightly younger twin shut his eyes and held his hands over his face so his hair could be rinsed as well.
When they were both washed and rinsed, Daniel drained the tub and got them each dried off and wrapped in fluffy towels, ushering them both down the carpeted hallway and into their shared bedroom as they dripped excess water in their wake. The twins sat on the end of each of their single beds as Daniel pulled out their pyjamas from their dresser and tossed them each a pair.
“I wanna see you dressed in your jammies when I get back, okay? Impress me.” Daniel said as he backed out of the room. The twins nodded and he tapped the doorframe before heading back to the bathroom to clean up. He gathered their dirty clothes and put the bath toys away just as Loretta finished the dishes and headed upstairs to join them.
Both parents headed back into the bedroom to find both four-year-old dressed in their pyjamas with wet hair and matching grins.
“You two blow me away. You’re too smart for me.” Daniel gaped, just to humour the children and they giggled proudly.
“Let’s get your hair dried so we don’t catch a cold.” Loretta said, stepping out of the doorway to let the twins lead the way into the master bathroom this time.
Daniel took the laundry downstairs to get it started while Loretta took her turn with the children, both of them sitting up on the bathroom counter as she blow-dried their hair and helped them brush their teeth. After a sip of water each and a quick bathroom break, they were rushing back down the upstairs hallway to bed.
Daniel returned in perfect timing to tuck them in, both him and Loretta making sure the sheets were tucked nice and tightly around each child. Loretta closed the curtains and turned on the lamp that sat on the table between the two single beds as Daniel climbed onto bed with his daughter. Diana shuffled over a little to give him room and he draped his arm over the pillows behind her head.
“What story do you want to hear tonight?” Loretta asked.
“Tell us a story, Mommy.” Presley said.
“Tell you a story? What kind of story?” Loretta sat on the side of his bed and brushed her fingers through his soft brown hair that was nearly falling in his eyes.
“How you and Daddy met.” Diana answered for her brother, but he nodded eagerly in agreement, only making his hair flop back over his forehead in the process.
Daniel and Loretta’s eyes met from across the children’s bedroom and they shared small smiles at all the memories that seemed to flick past their minds at the simple mention of their love story.
“Well, we didn’t seem to have much of a choice in the matter.” Loretta said, crossing her legs under her on the end of Presley’s bed. The children nuzzled into their sheets as they got cozy for the story. Daniel pressed a soft kiss to his daughter’s hair as she turned her head to face her mother. “When you become grownups, the universe gives you little hints to who is your perfect match and it’s up to you to find them. But the moment you meet, it is pretty hard to ignore it.”
“Uncle Christian met his soulmate and she had to go back home all the way across the world but the universe didn’t like that so they were brought back together eventually.” Daniel explained.
“And now they’re married.” Diana stated.
“Exactly.” Daniel smiled at her, running his thumb over her cheek and her light freckles. “Just like Mommy and me.”
“But how did you meet?” Presley pressed them on.
“Well, I guess it started in the summer of 1958, with strawberry milkshakes and a man named Elvis…”

sadie’s so emo/alt i love it. does rick always write his characters like this??
sadie pronounces it “mum” and carter says “mom”
it’s so refreshing to read mum ngl
sadie said bloke omg
i’m feeling carter’s pain. little sisters are shits and honestly sadie has the same vibes as my little sister and me and carter are quite similar. i hate this.
oh wow they really said sadie was too white for their family...
sadie did not HESITATE to be like, “yeah dad we’ll lock that guy in his office. mint.”
sadie telling the story is an experience
sadie said “maths” and “mates” in the same sentence. this is some refreshing shit.
sadie’s friends saying carter is hot is fucking hilarious. like it’s a classic piss-off to thirst over your mate’s sibling
THEYRE GETTING DEPORTED????
LMAO AMOS WAS LIKE, “yeah we don’t talk about manhattan. they’ve got their own problems. *cough percy jackson cough*”
i read thoth the god of knowledge as thot the god of knowledge
carter is right, amos has undeniable swag
philip of macedonia. the crocodile. cool.
i love how the greeks and romans be like “if we don’t honour the gods we’ll get SLAUGHTERED” and the egyptians are like “you know what? fuck the gods me and my homies hate the gods”
sadie kane would stab you in a back alley and dance to mcr as you bled to death and carter kane would take you to a museum, tell you everything about everything and then commit a terrorist attack
amos really went “don’t touch anything, the cats in charge and peace out bitches” and then fucking jumped off the balcony of his five storey mansion
sadie made that door go BANG
that fucking clay statue came to life and not one of them screamed. I WOULD SHIT MYSELF.
i’m giggling, all the greek/roman gods have really long/scary/cool sounding names like tartarus and chaos and nyx but the evilest guy in egyptian myth is called set. S E T.

WHO DARES THROW HANDS WITH PHILIP?????
THE SHABTI FUCKING STOLE AN ARTEFACT THATS AMAZING

i used to think the greek gods were stupid for having so many things to control but honestly the egyptians are taking the piss, do you really need a whole scorpion goddess?
the kane siblings are written so well. like i actually BELIEVE they’re siblings
i think carters gonna become a comfort character now... like i relate on another level. little siblings always take the spot light and you have to act level headed and calm because the younger ones start shit and you’re like “i gotta be the good one because my family would fall to shit if i didn’t behave.” so big kudos to carter, i love you
so carter’s a king huh? I DIDNT NEED YOU TO TELL ME THAT RICK I ALREADY KNEW HE WAS
zia was like “king tut?? ugh he was such a boy, there were waaaaay cooler tombs out there x x”

sadie really can do magic like THAT like bitch be like “i just copied what zia did and yeah it worked lol”
okay so i’m sorta feeling bad about sadies life rn but i’m still very pro carter
set’s laugh makes me uncomfortable. because when most villains laugh it’s usually described like “their laugh was like a knife, cold and sharp. i hates it.” but when sadie discribed set’s laugh she was like “it was warm and friendly. beautiful.” LIKE AAAA THATS A RED LIGHT
set: the god of theatre because gods dam is he a good actor
sadie saw some hot emo guy and was like “omg marry me”

bast: so yeah, you’d be stupid to teleport to paris, this is desjardin’s home territory
sadie and kane, lying in the streets of paris: oh cool cool
sadie: like i might die rn but i don’t care, as long as it doesn’t get filmed and put in youtube, that would be embarrassing
like ???? sis get your priorities together smh
sadie: *sees hot emo guy again in her spirit adventure, he hints that’s he’s dead or something*
also sadie: so will i see you again?
“no, an egyptian drink. you’ve heard of hot chocolate? this is rather like hot vanilla.” dam now i want some.
carter is an amazing older brother. he’s written perfectly and he’s a great character to relate to for me. even though sadie can make his blood boil, he dropped everything to calm her down when she was panicking about not being able to change back from a bird. i too have to do that for my little sister - sadie and ava are ironically the same age - so i find that very comforting that there is someone like me to relate to!
‘a businessman with a rolling suitcase was waiting by the doors. his eyes widened when he saw me. i must’ve looked pretty strange — a tall black kid in dirty, ragged egyptian clothes, with a weird box tucked under one arm and a bird of prey perched on the other.
‘“how’s it going?” i said. “i’ll take the stairs.” he hurried off.’ LMAO THIS IS WHY CARTER BABY I LOVE YOU
highkey pissed that carters like “i’m always edgy around the police. once i turned eleven they started giving me the Look. when it doesn’t happen it’s always a pleasant surprise.” LIKE FUCK NO HE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO WALK AROUND UNHASSLED WHATS WRONG WITH HIM
lmao bast be like “imma jump off this national monument. see ya at the airport in my finest clothes and jewellery x”
FOOD UPDATE: i’m eating a chocolate covered waffles and having some tea and i feel so happy rn sorry i know you don’t care but like aaaaaaa
bast called carter her little tomcat and my heart exploded
bast really likes convertibles huh
thoth: i hate rereading my old writing, my present self would never write like this now!! SOMEONE GET ME A RED PEN
are they... are they going to dig up elvis presley?
might put some elvis in for this part, y’know, to set the mood?
i cant stop reading ‘thoth’ as thot even though i know how to pronounce it
the captain with a axe for a head: my name is bloodstained battle axe 😸
yuh bast did some shit ...
imma stop now because spoilers, GO READ THE KANE CHRONICLES THEY ARE THE MOST UNDERRATED RIORDANVERSE BOOKS X X

For creating great holiday ambiance in your home you will need more than a decoration, Christmas lights, and a cup of coffee or tea, you will need music playing in the background just to add a little bit of a holiday spark in your room. That’s why we picked the greatest Christmas songs, you can listen with your family and friends.
The best thing about Christmas music is the fact it can bring you memories of the holiday no matter what period of the year it is, and for those who like spending time next to the Christmas decoration, in a cozy blanket, watching shimmering snow through the window this is a really good news.
So let’s discover the world of Christmas songs!
#1 ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ – Mariah Carey
https://youtu.be/yXQViqx6GMY
Although, Mariah’s undeniable Christmas classic never made it number one back in 1994, we decided to put this song first, and there is a lot of reasons for that. This song re-enter The Top 40 every year since 2007, giving Mariah Carey the great title of the Queen of Christmas.
Year 2019 Mariah Carey celebrated the 25th anniversary of her iconic Merry Christmas album, so she released a 2-CD Deluxe Anniversary Edition, that includes the original album, plus a bonus disc featuring previously. She also did a remake of this song that we all know and love.
#2 ‘Last Christmas’ – Wham!
https://youtu.be/E8gmARGvPlI
Love and holiday, two inspiring topics to write a song about, and if you mix it, you’ll get one of the greatest hits, known as ‘Last Christmas’. The English pop duo Wham!, having George Michael as a lead singer brought sensual and silky sound to Christmas by creating a song about Christmas love, followed by heartbreak.
The song is released in December 1984, and since then is one of the Christmas songs you can’t imagine the holidays without. The original song was written by George Michael, and so far there are a lot of great covers.
#3 ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’ – Darlene Love
https://youtu.be/4EvZOXEoJ84
One of the most moving and heartwarming Christmas songs of all time is definitely ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’ by Darlene Love. The combination of her smooth vocal, Phil Spector's glorious production, and Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry’s magical songwriting skills, we got one of the fines tunes, that can easily melt anyone's heart.
The song is from 1963, but it has a lot of covers, and one of the most famous is from Mariah Carey. A lot of people claim that Darlene Love was the Queen of Christmas too, and a fun fact is that her song All Alone for Christmas, was one of the songs from the popular Christmas movie Home Alone 2.
#4 ‘White Christmas’ – Bing Crosby
https://youtu.be/A9ibhWgMlso
What a great way to bring the power of Christmas nostalgia, by listening to one of the most famous Christmas songs - ‘White Christmas’ by Bing Crosby. This is what it sounds like reminiscing about past times, and an old-fashioned Christmas setting.
The original song is released in 1942, written by Irving Berlin, and sung by Bing Crosby. This song became the world’s best selling single with estimated sales of over 50 million copies all around the globe. A lot of musicians did a cover of this song, so the full amount of sales is even higher.
If you like the good old sound of nostalgia, deep emotions, and you enjoy bringing back the old memories tucked in your blanket, you will love the feel this song is giving.
#5 ‘Fairytale of New York’ – The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl
https://youtu.be/j9jbdgZidu8
Melancholy and peace, yet joy and fulfillment, all of these are emotions you can feel by listening to the song ‘Fairytale of New York’ by The Pogues with Kirsty MacColl. So, shut your eyes and give it a go, prepare yourself for this mixture of emotions.
A lot of people enjoy this song, describing it as a perfect four-minute narrative of hope, despair, and heartbreak. It’s all in one, and it’s a Christmas song, that can bring up a lot of memories and stories.
#6 ‘Christmas Wrapping’ – The Waitresses
https://youtu.be/nud2TQNahaU
Let’s spice it up, and bring the Christmas spirit in a different rhythm. If you like the vibe of the Blondie and Talking Heads bands, you will certainly like this Christmas song. The sound of ‘Christmas Wrapping’ really gives you festive feeling, bringing joy and fun holiday time.
#7 ‘Happy Xmas (War Is Over)’ – John Lennon & Yoko Ono
https://youtu.be/yJ4tW7AG_mc
A protest song,  that gives you courage, festive vibe, and euphoria. John Lennon and Yoko Ono gave us the feeling of equality, the sound of peace, love, and hope. ‘Happy Xmas (War Is Over) is an anti-Vietnam War song, that had a huge impact in the ‘70. A lot of artists made their own cover of this song.
#8 ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ – Jackson 5
https://youtu.be/gmUW2pVAopc
There are multiple versions of this song, by everyone from Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey to Michael Bublé, but Jackson 5 gave it that groove and fun sound we all like. This fun Christmas song brings all generations together, and creates good memories with friends and family. So let’s bring some groove on the Christmas Eve and let’s dance next to the Christmas tree.
#9 ‘Blue Christmas’ – Elvis Presley
https://youtu.be/QipqXel5G4g
‘Blue Christmas without you’ said Elvis Presley, and we all felt that words. The King of Country music gave his melody and swag to the holiday period. We needed this sound just to feel safe and at home whenever we hear it.
#10 ‘River’ – Joni Mitchell
https://youtu.be/3NH-ctddY9o
From the ‘Jingle Bells’ piano opening it’s clear this is a beautiful and delicate Christmas song, for those who are heartbroken, or thinking about the person they love.  The song brings back memories even for the people who are happily in love.
By the end of the ‘River’ all you’ll want to do is to hug a person you love, and to cherish every moment spent with them. Maybe that’s why ‘River’ is one of her most covered songs, having been recorded by over 500 people.
#11 ‘Wonderful Christmastime’ – Paul McCartney
https://youtu.be/94Ye-3C1FC8
As the name says itself, the song is about shaving a good time with your family and friends on  Christmas Eve, and being truly happy to have someone to spend this day with. The song describes one joyful Christmas, with all traditions that we love and cherish. It needs to be on every Christmas music list.
#12 ‘8 Days of Christmas’ – Destiny’s Child
https://youtu.be/MKdndMXIVXw
Is it even possible to add some sass in a Christmas music? If it is, that Destiny’s Child did it! Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle turned a coy old holiday classic into a bumping R&B modern Christmas song. This has to be one fine achievement, so we decided to put it on our list.
#13 ‘Dear Santa (Bring Me a Man This Christmas)’ – Weather Girls
https://youtu.be/Ko3yBFoTm5c
From the same album as the song ‘It’s Raining Men’, the ‘Dear Santa’ stayed in the same vibe of pure female energy. Groovie song about one interesting wishlist, puts a new perspective of a good and fun Christmas song. For all single ladies, and for everyone who loves Weather Girls this is a song to listen on a Christmas Day.
#14 ‘What Christmas Means to Me’ – Stevie Wonder
https://youtu.be/wtgGBgpNcIo
Do you know what Christmas means to you? If not, think about it while listening to this song. For Stevie Wonder Christmas means singing carols, decorating a Christmas tree,  being with his baby. Maybe you can agree with him, or you can add something to this list.
#15 ‘Stay Another Day’ – East 17
https://youtu.be/-wNhdjoF-6M
This song wasn’t supposed to be a Christmas song at all.  Actually, the songwriter explained that it supposed to be a very sad song. Somehow, the raw emotion that this song brings, touched our hearts, and became a legit holiday song, great for slow winter days.
This is our list, and it’s up to you to add your personal favorites, that will bring the Christmas spark in your home, whether it is that part of the year or not.

Spring Break College!AU with Tyjo
A/N: alright guys so here is the spring break au/headcanon with Tyler. There will be a Josh one too! I will post it only if this post gets to at least 75 notes!!!! Josh will not be posted if it’s any less!!!! So pls REBLOG and spread this around!!!!!!!!
Tyler Joseph
Okay so here’s how spring break would go with TyJo. Y’all would definitely travel somewhere with a beach, I’m thinkin like Hawaii or something?? He would definitely be saving up, and so would you.
Soooooo you would leave school early, like skip a few days of class. You and Ty head to the airport, you having to comfort Tyler all the way because he is an anxious baby.
You soothe him on the plane until he eventually falls asleep, you ending up taking lots and lots of pictures of him, even contemplating drawing on his face with Sharpie. Because why the hELL NOT IT’S SPRING BREAK BABY!!!
But you didn’t because you knew he would hate you and that would make him even more anxious since there’s so many unfamiliar faces on the flight with you guys.
SO as soon as you land in Hawaii, you head straight for the hotel room, changing into your swimsuits and shit. You head straight for one of their beaches, immediately knowing that you want to tan to wash away the cold winter.
You and Tyler set up your towels and lawn chairs that the hotel kindly let you borrow, because I feel like Hawaiians would be super nice like that?? IDK when I went they were!!! But anywhoooooooooo you lie down on your beach towel, smiling to yourself at how good the Hawaiian sun felt on your skin. You put on your sunglasses and sprayed yourself with some sunscreen, just in case you started to burn. After about half an hour, you turn to on your stomach, wanting to give your backside a bit of attention too. You grab the book you had brought on the flight over, deciding to read a few chapters.
Tyler, being the little goon he is, went to the local shack to grab some snacks and a drink for the both of you. He quickly comes back to you, shutting your book and gives you a cheeky grin.
YOU ARE MAD AT HIM BECAUSE YOU WERE AT A REALLY GOOD SPOT!!! YOU HIT HIM PLAYFULLY AND GIVE HIM THE STINK EYE.
“What do you want?!” you would ask suspiciously. And he would giggle to himself like a child.
“Can I turn you into a mermaid….? You know… with the sand…?”
He would stare at you uncomfortably for what felt like a good ten minutes before you caved. You agreed and he went on a high for like half an hour while covering you with sand from your waist down.
He gave you a beautiful tail and even decided to give you scales. He took a few pictures and posted them on Instagram for the whole world to see. He captioned it; “This is my masterpiece.”
OKAY so after the beach, you guys headed out for a nice dinner, and you stuffed your faces with as much food as you could eat. Tyler stole a piece of food from your plate, and you did the same, deciding you guys wanted to switch dinners.
So your trip is pretty much all beach days, and you guys would go to get snow cones and you would go hiking on some of those amazing trails that they have. Maybe go see that volcano like I did!!! Tyler would be an asshole and smash his snow cone on you, making you all cold and sticky with the damn syrup. So you would do the same just to get revenge, and he would chase you around trying to give you a hug.
You both wanted to learn how to surf, so you went to the ocean and you tried your damn best. It was actually embarrassing because you completely BOMBED IT IN FRONT OF THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE!!!! But it’s totally okay because he did the exact same thing and got super frustrated that he kicked his board. You couldn’t help but laugh at the frustration, but you did your best to comfort him by saying that it was just an amazing experience just to try.
After the humiliation finally disappeared from him, you took a boat ride to get to a sandbar nearby. (I did this and it was so fucking fun omg) You saw some sea turtles swimming near your boat, and even some dolphins came to say hello!!! You reached the sandbar after a wild boat ride, and they ended up setting up a volleyball net for people to enjoy.
The trip is winding down, and on the last night, you guys had a luau to go to!!!! You both were adorned with leis and they served DELICIOUS FOOD ALL NIGHT! You felt like you were going to burst with how much food you managed to eat. You pushed Tyler up to the stage when they brought out a ukulele and called for a taker to sing and play His face immediately started turning bright red. You ushered him, giving him positive vibes. You continue to encourage him until he gives in, taking the ukulele. He clears his throat and looks at you. You could tell he was nervous but you knew he would be great. You gave him a big nod, smiling at him. He smiles back slightly at you, taking a deep breath.
He begins to play Can’t Help Falling In Love because you know… ELVIS FUCKING PRESLEY AND HAWAII ARE A GOOD COMBINATION. The dancers begin to hula dance behind him, making a fantastic vibe in the luau area. Couples begin to get up from their table and slow dance, you swayed to the strum. You walk up to the stage and blow him a kiss, smiling brightly. He keeps his eyes on you the whole time he sang.
After he finished, he jumped off the stage, pulling you into his arms and giving you a passionate, yet gentle kiss.
“I love you.” he whispers. And you couldn’t help but grin at the words. “love you too, Tyler Joseph.”

‘American Idol’ Recap: It’s All About Personality as the Auditions Come to an End
American Idol has only been back for two and a half weeks, but we’re already about to enter the next phase of the reboot with new judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.
I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be season 16 or season 1, but what I do know is that while the auditions are fun — both the good and the bad — Hollywood Week is when it really begins.
The big stage, the pressure, the judgments, the horrors of the group round … this is where the studs are separated from the duds, and stars begin their journey. And it’s right around the corner.
But first, we have to get through these last two hours of golden ticket giveaways. And so back to Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York City and Savannah we go.
Seventeen-year-old Gabby Barrett and her family drove to Tennessee all the way from Pittsburgh, and she’s a daddy’s girl. He is a maintenance man for Goodwill, and he spends his nights cleaning apartments to provide the best life possible for his family. She’s cute and bubbly but also grounded, and Carrie Underwood is her idol.
The judges find her rendition of Carrie’s "Good Girl" too gimmicky because when you try to sound country, you don’t sound country. They also reject her back-up songs — Carrie Underwood’s "Church Bells" and Gretchen Wilson’s "Redneck Woman." But her personality finally comes through on an actual church song — about Jesus.
Caitlin Lucia is 22 and gigs at the same place Katy did as a teenager, and she’s rocking a tight yellow onesie while singing her hero’s song in front of her hero. It’s a folksy version of "I Kissed a Girl," and the judges like it. They also believe that it merely scratches the surface of what Caitlin can do.
Amelia Presley is The King’s sixth cousin once removed, and her "Heartbreak Hotel" kicks off a mediocre Elvis montage that includes frog-throated Billy Crunk and wannabe impersonator Bailey Eubanks. It ends with country boy heartthrob Drake Milligan, who sounds like Elvis but impresses the judges because they think he doesn’t. Luke calls him "cowboy cool," and then it’s a mash-up of Katy’s non-stop set snacking and bunched-up Spanx.
Katy doesn’t think "Stand By Me" is a proper choice to show off the voice of 24-year-old Mylon Shamble, until Mylon sings it. Then Katy calls it the best "Stand By Me" she’s ever heard.
Lee Vasi looks like Alicia Keys, and she duets on her all-time favorite song — The Commodores’ "Zoom" — with Lionel before launching into Toni Braxton’s "Love Shoulda Brought You Home." She’s got the pipes, but the song goes horribly awry amid a slew of pitchless screeching. Still, the judges see potential in her and send her to Hollywood. Luke predicts that she’ll be in the Top 10 if she listens and stays in her wheelhouse.
Philly boy Michael J. Woodard fights his nerves and is all over the place with an over-run version of Ed Sheeran’s "Make It Rain," but the judges love his infectious personality and what they see as raw potential. It probably should’ve been a no based on the lack of control, but I’ll admit he’s likable.
A montage of fashion, hair, tats and related flair ends with 18-year-old dance choreographer Brielle Rathbun, who has fully braided hair and adopted siblings from other countries. Her mom ditched the family a few years ago, and now Dad is the champion. She raspily sings Sara Bareilles’ "Gravity" out of the side of her mouth. And while I don’t love it, her unique personality and spunk mean she’s through.
Carly Moffa describes herself as "a mess," and she’s always been a little different with a penchant for showmanship. Showwomanship? Her mother — who was diagnosed with progressive MS and had five surgeries in the last year alone — is her best friend, and she wrote her original song about "letting the lion out" to cheer Mom up when she was having a rough night. She’s got a bit of Florence Welch in her, which I swear I wrote before Katy says it, and her unique sound makes her one to watch.
Samuel (pronounced Sam-well?) Swanson is a 28-year-old Alabama farm boy who longed to see more than trees and cows, so he picked up and moved to Harlem with $60 to his name. He does a sweet and soulful take on Al Green’s "Let’s Stay Together," and Lionel compares him to Luther Vandross. It’s clear that the theme of the show is unique and endearing personalities.
Eighteen-year-old Jurnee was a recluse until she realized her truth and came out, and she has since met her soulmate and got married. It’s been rainbows — pun intended (her words) — ever since, and she tackles Andra Day’s "Rise Up." There’s no emotional connection until the chorus and way too many extreme runs crammed into a song that doesn’t need it, but the judges appreciate Jurnee’s journey and keep it going to Hollywood.
That’s Adam Sanders, who made the Top 50 when he was 19 five years ago. Rejection was difficult to deal with, but he admits he wasn’t ready back then. But the aftermath was much worse, and the social media trolls targeted his weight, told him he was terrible and advised him to end his life.
He went to a dark place and contemplated suicide, believing he might not be worth fixing. But from that, he rebuilt himself and rose from the ashes a new person confident in his identity. And so the final featured audition of season 16 comes courtesy of Ada Vox, who is a seafood waiter by day and a "part-time woman" by night.
He belts out "House of the Rising Sun" in full drag, showing off a gigantic range backed by pure power pipes. Despite the persona, he assures the judges that he’s in it to win it, and he’s awarded the final golden ticket.
Now, look, I’m not dissing the talent. But truth be told, I was actually at a drag show last night (my wife and I have many theatre friends), and Ada Vox is pretty standard for the New York scene. The vocal prowess can’t be denied, but he’s going to have a difficult time separating himself from the persona to be taken seriously. Ms. Vox will definitely have a loyal following, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out from a recording artist perspective.
Being homeless isn’t enough to deter Ayana Lawson, who goes by Rose because her first name means "lovely flower" in Ethiopian. She used to play basketball but couldn’t afford new sneakers, and now music is her life, her passion, her joy.
Her guitar playing is on point during a toned-down, no-frills version of Bonnie Raitt’s "I Can’t Make You Love Me." She doesn’t have the strongest voice in the world, but the emotional connection is raw and real. You can feel the Tracy Chapman "Fast Car"-like desperation.
The judges want to see her come back because she’s not ready yet, so it’s three nos. But, c’mon, they’ve put through far worse people. And with her backstory, she may simply need an opportunity to build the confidence and swagger they want to see now.
(ABC didn’t post a video of Ayana on the American Idol YouTube page, so I’m embedding it from another source.)
Tory N. Teasley — or TNT for short (that’s gotta be his drag queen alias) — delivers a spicy rendition of Cee Lo Green’s "F*** You" that makes Luke fall out of his chair laughing while Lionel grimaces at the coarse language.
Lucy Clearwater dedicates her folksy take on Sir Mix A Lot’s "Baby Got Back" to Luke’s backside.
Jarom Banks, sometimes known as JoJo Jerom, wears pajamas and butchers REM’s "Losing My Religion" on the piano. It’s a yes from Katy but only because he’s so weird.
Another montage of rejection ends with a guy in a red jacket dancing like Michael Jackson (pictured at the top of the recap) who sings Wham! And as Deadpool pointed out, there’s an exclamation point. So it’s not Wham. It’s Wham! Then heavy metal junkie Damiano Scarfi butchers Boston’s "More Than a Feeling," and here he goes again on his own, going down the only road he’s ever known: rejection.
And just like that, Hollywood here we come. No one emerged as a real contender from this episode, but I’m most interested to see what Carly Moffa can do to harness that Florence and the Machine vibe.
The hell that is Hollywood Week kicks off in the next episode. It’s time to put up or shut up. Literally.
Who were your favorites and who do you think has the most potential? Is there a superstar in this mix? What are your thoughts on Adam Sanders’ transformation, and can Ada Vox be taken seriously in a competition like American Idol? Should the judges have put through Michael J. Woodard and Lee Vasi, or do they need more seasoning? And should poor homeless Ayana Lawson be heading west or did the judges make the right call? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
