That was very intentional, like I said, a good chunk of the end of the episode was about putting Black Siren back in Oliver’s orbit. We could have very easily returned her to the pipeline in Central City, but Oliver and us as writers wanted to keep Black Siren close. Just yesterday in the writer’s room we were talking about all the different potential stories for Black Siren. You know, assuming Katie [Cassidy] is up for it, you haven’t seen the last of Black Siren. I think there is a lot of interesting stuff to be done and at the end of the day – to sort of go back to the point of toying with people’s emotions [laughs] – we really do break story according to a very, very simple barometer which is ‘Is it interesting? Do we have stories to tell?’ [With] Black Siren, there is a lot of potential there. Just this morning, driving into work, I was thinking about just how much I wanted to see a scene where [Quentin] Lance meets Black Siren. I just think that would be really, really, rich to see those emotional stuff. So again, with Katie’s participation, you haven’t seen the last of her.

Marc Guggenheim is such an asshole. He played Laurel Lance and Black Siren as dirty as they possibly could play her and now he’s introduced a replacement Black Canary with all the things they long denied Laurel’s Black Canary. Katie worked hard on this role and always sounded like she was so looking forward to finally getting to play the Black Canary we all knew she was suppose to be. Only then the show killed her off and did all this. Now it’s all ‘Oh we have lots of ideas for Black Siren. Oh I would love to give Black Siren something really good with Quentin Lance’ but it’s all down to Katie’s participation. So if you don’t get the character again blame Katie not me‘. *rolleyes* We could’ve had Black Siren/Quentin Lance scenes but Marc choose not to do that in the episode they had her in. Quentin was completely left out of the episode. Why the heck should Katie ever come back to Arrow to play Black Siren other then to get nice check because the show has failed every version of her character - save an alien dream version. It’s insulting. I don’t think Katie should come back to Arrow unless she getting a nice check and can walk away laughing from this shit show.
