I just finished Good Omens 2. I'll try to contain my insane fangirl screaming for now, but ther WAS a lot of fangirl screaming involved as I watched it. My poor pillow has been brutalized so much.
I want to tag @neil-gaiman (sorry sir for bothering you) because I did follow his advice: I didn't entirely binge-watch it, I watched two episodes every night, three nights in a row, forcing myself to wait a total of 44 excruciating hours in between the pairs of episodes.
Sir, next time you want me to wait before watching more, please think of writing an uglier story and making it into an uglier tv show. Waiting a whole weekend to finish the story was the hardest thing I've ever done.
I'm not joking when I say it was perfect. I watched it with a friend and, every damn time that we paused to comment an astonishing line, we would then pless play and be immediately met with an even better one. And it's not just the lines. The music, the lights, the acting, everything was downright perfect. As I write this, I am also suing Michael Sheen and David Tennant for emotional damage: it really should not be legal to be that good at acting (everyone else did a terrific job as well, but suing everyone would just be rude, wouldn't it?)
Also my friend was extremely emotional about every single reference to Terry Pratchett and his works. We were both emotional messes by the end.
Thank you, sir. Waiting 4 years was totally worth it.
