Hi, hello! Could you possibly write a story where reader picks Nubbins up on the road and while they're driving reader just continuously compliments Nubbins? Male reader if you can, but you don't have to <3 Xoxo -13
So I tried to write something like this before but I scrapped it because I am so bad at writing diolauge dear lord. I'm having that same issue with this Lost boys thing I'm working on which really frustrates me so I'm doing this first so I can hopefully get better at it. Thank you for the request and I hope you enjoy. Reader is male.
Warnings: Strong language
It's a grueling summer day in Texas. You're driving deep in the countryside to a house you rented out so you can focus on writing your new novel. Your windows are rolled way down and warm air is flooding your car. The radio is softly playing some country song you don't know. You wipe away sweat on your forehead that's causing hair to stick to your face. You pass a slaughter house and cringe at the smell of it while you pass. The heat makes it even worse now. You pick up the speed to get that horrid smell out of your car.
A few miles ahead you notice someone walking along the side of the road. You assume they're coming from the slaughter house because that's the only thing around here for miles. You slow your car as you get closer to them. They stop when you pull up next to them. It's a man with long black hair and dried blood on his face. A little part of you says to not let him in but the louder part keeps talking about how attractive he looks. "You need a ride?" You ask blocking the sun out of your eyes.
"Y-yes." He says. You unlock the door for him and he gets in the passenger side. You start to drive again as you decide what to ask him.
"Where are you headed?"
"South."
"You work at the slaughter house back there?”
“I don’t. My brother worked there before.”
“Well if you don’t work back there what’s a handsome man like you doing all the way out here.” He chuckles at that.
“I was walking back home. I guess I got too far out.”
“Well I’m happy to take you back. Whats your name?”
“N-Nubbins.”
“Well it’s nice to meet a new handsome face. I’m Y/n.” He chuckles again at the compliment.
“You’re real handsome too ya know? I like your face.” Now it’s your turn to chuckle. Sure his way of flirting is a little weird but who cares he’s hot.
“So your house is down this way?” You ask looking back over at him, you notice a small fur napsack around his neck.
“It is. I live out here with my brothers. You could have dinner with us. I’m sure they’d love to meet a pretty boy like you.” A warm smile spreads across your face.
“Well I mean I guess I could stay. But you’re lucky you’re a pretty boy too.”
“I-I’ve never been called a pretty boy before.” He says
“Well now you have, and I do mean it when I tell you that.” His smile grows.
“You’re real nice. I like you.” He says with a more drawn out tone on some parts of his sentence.
“I like you too, you’re very nice. Are your brothers as nice and handsome as you?” He laughs.
“M-my brother Bubba’s real nice. I have a twin too, and my older brother Drayton. He r-runs a gas station down here.”
“Oh I think I met him earlier. He’s not as handsome as you though.”
“Why are you so nice?” He asks. It’s more serious that he’s been before. You let out a small hum and tap your fingers on your steering wheel.
“I guess I just am. It helps you’re so handsome too.”
“Oh take a turn here!” He jumps out of his seat a bit. You turn your car and see a house emerge as you draw closer.
“You live really far out huh?”
“That’s how my family likes it.” You park at the house and get out with Nubbins. He grabs your hand and pulls you inside.
“I brought home a real pretty boy! He’s staying for d-dinner with us! Y’all better play nice!”
