Falling into the Abyss
Good Morning, its a beautiful day for a micro? Tedromeda fic, but an even better day to get your heart completely broken, by yours truly. It has been awhile since I've written andromeda and I MISS IT, I will be uploading some more stories but I've been busy with College and participating in Jilytober 2023(which will begin soon, the first time I'll write many stories of them, very nervous if I say so myself)
I thought of this idea at 3am when I should've been asleep oh well
TW: mentions Character Death
If you would like to read below, please be my guest
Or head on over to A03 to get your heart broken. BUT fair warning this is light pain compared to the next Tedromeda fic that I will soon be uploading.
Which makes me wonder if I should post a snippet of it later today or a happy snippet that has a bit of smut? Hmmm I'll think on it for awhile.
Or maybe post a Romione or a Jily snippet, decisions decisions (might do all of the above, lol)
Anywho, I hope in succeeding with making your day eventful!?
It felt like time had stopped, as Andromeda sat crumpled in a ball on her sofa as she wondered why the world was so cold and cruel. Darkness had always loomed over her head but it was in this precise moment in which she wanted to accept her fate and fall into the abyss of darkness. She wanted the pain to engulf her completely because of the unfairness that has been her life. Exiled from her family, her name had been blasted from the family tree, her name no longer worthy of being alongside the other members of, “The Most Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.” The allowance and savings that she managed to take with her when she decided to leave her family and start a life with the man of her dreams was not enough.
Yet, they managed to live a loving and happy life together, through all the struggles and doubts. Andromeda and Edward Tonks had made a home together at such a young age they were graced with their daughter Nymphadora Tonks. They were so happy, so why did the world laugh at her while taking the one man that she has ever loved? Andromeda wondered as she stared into the dying fire in the fireplace, the embers burning bright, a complete contrast as to what she’s feeling.
As she hugged herself, Andromeda realized that she would have to get used to this concept for the rest of her life. There will no longer be the gentle yet assertive voice whispering words of love in her ear as she laid her head on his strong chest, during moments of uncertainty. Those strong and loving arms that would wrap her in a loving embrace, as she got lost in the rhythm of his beating heart.
Yesterday’s edition of the Daily Prophet, lay crumpled up beside her, almost as if bluntly mocking her. As she wallowed in despair and agony for her husband that she would no longer be able to love again. Never again would she rush into their kitchen after hearing a few teacups crash onto the hardwood floor, as a result of Ted’s clumsiness. Andromeda would no longer feel his callused hands roaming every inch of her soft skin as he’d trail kisses on her jaw, not before placing his lips over her earlobe, as he gently bit down.
The tears that continued to fall down and stain her cheeks, was the only way that Andromeda knew she was still alive. Which was ironic because in her mind she had died when she read that article that graced the front page of the Daily Prophet.
Andromeda refused to believe that this was some cruel joke that was being pulled on her. She’d rather spiral into denial than acknowledge the truth, that her husband Edward Tonks was another victim of the hands of Snatchers.
Silent tears fell down her delicate face, it's late, or maybe it's very early in the morning. Either way it didn’t matter what time it was, since the pain consumes her every single second that Ted is no longer here.
Many times she’d wonder what it would’ve been like if she never married Ted, but that would’ve never worked simply because the love they shared was more powerful than anything in the world. Plus, just the mere thought of Ted wrapping his strong, and gentle arms around another woman, left a horrid taste in Andromeda’s mouth. Even if the mere thought of Ted loving someone else, Andromeda would have preferred enduring that pain if it meant Ted would have lived to see another day. Even seeing him with another witch or even a muggle would have destroyed her, but at least she could still love him from a distance. Yes, it would not have been healthy to long for a man that belongs to another witch, but there’s no way to control what her heart feels for him. She tried to stop loving him many times when they first began dating and she was happy that she had failed quite miserably in that aspect.
She knew Ted would never have agreed to such idiotic notion, she wouldn’t have either if she’s being honest. Closing her eyes, Andromeda sniffled before swallowing another wave of sobs. She had to be strong for her daughter, her grandson and even her son-in-law, but who in Merlin's name was going to be strong for her? That was what Ted would always do, he’d pull her away from the demons that consumed her, while kissing her until she finally gave into the sweet taste of his lips.
Who will be there for her? If she died the moment when Edward Tonks, Ted, the man that proved to her time and time again that love does exist in the world. Had been captured and tortured at the hands of pure evil?
