UNDER THE CUT, YOU’LL FIND THE LIST OF ROOMMATES!
Unless we got a message from you telling us you wanted to be with a specific person or were not in the ships list - you were included in the generator. If you do not see your FCs name on this list, please message us POLITELY and let us know - sometimes a name gets missed getting put into the generator. We’re human and it happens! At the same time, if your FC is on there twice by any chance then please let us know. Again, mistakes happen. As we accept new applications and people come into the group before AND during the event, this list will be updated. Same will go for if people get unfollowed or ask to leave the group. We posted the pairings in advance so that you may reach out to your roommate and get new interactions going! Even if a mun is on hiatus, be sure to reach out to them so that you can see if you can head-canon some interactions or plan for something when they are off hiatus. All trips are to encourage new interactions and unlikely connections!

Tagged by the lovely @mermaidsirennikita thanks for the tag! SO SORRY this is months late shxkdjks.
Also to note; I wrote 90% of this post about 4 months ago?? On a call with the brilliant @sophiamariabeckett and @hptriviachamp so that's why they get mentioned alot, anyway let's get to it!
Nickname: S, [Redacted - IYKYK], Sahara,Vi, Evie [I think I’m mostly used to S and Sahara, the latter two are derived from my username lol]
I used to go by Sky when I was younger because people butchered my name but it was also given to me by an ex-friend who tried to whitewash me so I have YEETED that name (will never ever go by it again) and fully embraced my Indian name and culture. Anyways I digress, Sky also earned me the nicknames Sunny, Cloudy, Sunshine.
Sign: A Fire Sign that fits me
Height: 5′0/155cm
Last thing I Googled:
undefined
youtube
[Yall thank Trivia for this search and it’s so fitting for me!]
Song stuck in my head: Would’ve, Should’ve, Could’ve by Taylor Swift (also at this moment: Lavender Haze Acoustic version)
Number of Followers: Over 3k (but 80% are abandoned accounts or probably bots - also you gotta remember I've had this account for 8 years over 3 major fandoms so it's accumulation of that)
Amount of Sleep: 3 to 6 Hours - a lot of afternoon naps
Lucky number: 8, 19
Dream Job: Novelist and Screenwriter
The List of People I Wanna Work Woth (ranking in order of how much I wanna to work with them): Simone Ashley, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Zawe Ashton, Frieda Pinto & Dev Patel (tied), Zendaya
Creatives: Wanna write with Mindy Kaling and Trevor Noah, write for Margot Robbie (as executive producer), Cathy Yun, and Jordan Peele
Special mention to Tom Hiddleston, Rahul Kohli and Chloe Zhao for being icons I admire but my writing style/stories and their resumes are in direct conflict 😂
Wearing: A sheer black shirt, it’s giving Simone's Shirt-Dress at Paris Fashion Week

Actually at this very moment (3rd April) though I am wearing this:
The shirt ties in the front and I have cream shorts on. Someone once told me I look like a hot baseball player in this fit lol

[Hugo, Daisy Jones, Malibu Rising, gotta read Carrie Soto soon]

Movies:
90s/00s Rom Coms - that entire genre and era changed me as a person.
10 Things I Hate About You
Legally Blonde
Confession of Shopaholic
Adding A Barbie Section at the request of Belle & Trivia:
Mermaid’s Tale, An Island Princess and of course Princess & The Pauper changed everyone's lives

All Michael Schur shows except Parks & Rec (it was fine but not my vibe)
Jane The Virgin (BUT I do not claim S5)
Favorite song: Changes depending on the day but I will always go back to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
Special Mention: Right Where You Left Me and Nothing New by TS
Favorite instrument: Guitar to play because I played it when I was 8; piano and violin to listen to - I really am a strings bitch huh
Aesthetic: I love dressing up in different styles and aesthetics tbh and I would say I dress how I feel. I dress up more when I'm happier and have a lot of statement pieces, more casual when I'm feeling lazy or depressed. But with the statement pieces, I'd say I'm giving theatre kid and I like to dress up like a Hollywood starlet sometimes lmao.
Favorite Author: I have no idea tbh. There's not one single author I've read all their books and liked. Hmm maybe Lemony Snicket but I haven't read Asking All The Right Questions yet. But all the books and authors listed above are a good range.
Ohmygod Cecelia Ahern - I've read and loved all her books!! Shoutout to my mom for getting me into her books during my teen years
Favorite Animal Noise: Rattlesnakes, Elephant’s Trumpet with the whole show of their trunks, Seal clapping and Hyena giggles
Random: So this section is the reason I didn't finish this post when Caro tagged me in it months ago lmao sorry C but now I have a fun random fact to share!
I'm currently on vacation in a tropical country rn and the villa I'm staying in feels so much like Donna's Villa in Mamma Mia - I love it so much! (I might reblog and share pictures of this place in the future but rn I'd like not to doxx myself lol) It's hella homey and I LOVE all the animals here; they have 4 dogs and 2 cats who are all my besties now. (I've never been a big pet person and now I want one)

The Enduring Legacy: A Comprehensive History of ‘The Young and the Restless'
For fifty years, “The Young and the Restless” has captivated viewers as a cornerstone of daytime television. Its gripping drama, complex characters, and intricate storylines have enchanted audiences since its debut. As one of the running soap operas in history, it has introduced memorable characters and played a significant role in shaping the genre. In this article, we will journey through the fascinating history of “The Young and the Restless, “ shedding light on some of its most iconic characters and exploring their profound influence on the world of daytime drama.
On March 26, 1973, with the guidance of William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, “The Young and the Restless” debuted. It was conceived as a spin-off from another soap opera called “The Bold and The Beautiful.” The show aimed to delve into the lives, romances, and rivalries of two families — the Abbotts and Newmans — in Genoa City.
At the core of this series is the compelling Abbott family led by their patriarch, John Abbott, portrayed by Jerry Douglas (may he rest in peace). As the creator of Jabot Cosmetics, John held a place in his family's hearts. His children, Jack Abbott (played by Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (portrayed by Eileen Davidson), have been figures since the show's early days. Jack, a sometimes ruthless businessman, has left his mark through love affairs and an ongoing rivalry with Victor Newman. On the other hand, Ashley, a scientist, has faced numerous challenges in her pursuit of love and success, resonating deeply with devoted fans.
In contrast to the Abbotts, the Newman family holds influence in Genoa City. Victor Newman, masterfully portrayed by Eric Braeden, is a tycoon with a past. His intense relationships with women such as Nikki Reed (brought to life by Melody Thomas Scott) and Ashley Abbott have been central to the show's enduring appeal. The epic rivalry between Victor and Jack Abbott is one of soap opera history long-lasting storylines that have captivated viewers for years.
Throughout its run, “The Young and the Restless” has delved into romantic relationships that often have heart-wrenching consequences.
Characters like Nick Newman, portrayed by Joshua Morrow and Sharon Collins, brought to life by Sharon Case, have navigated through the highs and lows of love. Meanwhile, individuals such as Phyllis Summers (skillfully played by Michelle Stafford) and Billy Abbott (portrayed by Jason Thompson) have found themselves entangled in often tumultuous affairs. These characters' emotional journeys have consistently struck a chord with audiences, highlighting the enduring appeal of the show.
In addition to its captivating character-driven narratives, “The Young and the Restless” has always addressed issues. The series has tackled topics like cancer, alcoholism, sexual assault, and LGBTQ+ representation with sensitivity and depth. This groundbreaking show reflects the evolving landscape.
“The Young and the Restless” has etched itself into television history, captivating viewers for five decades with its compelling characters and masterful storytelling. From the rivalry between the Abbotts and Newmans to its poignant exploration of real-world issues, this shows remarkable longevity, and ongoing relevance serves as a testament to the enduring power of soap operas.
As “The Young and the Restless” keeps up with the changing media world, it remains an iconic presence on television. The show's cherished characters and captivating storylines still enthrall viewers of all ages.

Mary Senese
Tumblr media
Mary Senese passed away peacefully at her home in Kingston, PA on Sunday, July 9, 2023, after a long illness. She was 85 years old.
Mary was born to the late Marion Collins and Arthur Schultz in Noxen, PA in 1937. Her fiery red hair earned her the affectionate nickname “Red” among her siblings Joan, Arthur, Daniel, Ellen, and John. It was a fitting emblem for her exuberant personality and her zest for life.
Mary began her working life as a teen behind the counter at Percy Brown’s, an iconic 1950’s Wilkes-Barre market and cafeteria. After graduating from St. Leo’s High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College, she met the love of her life, Fred Senese, a U. S. Navy damage controlman on the crew of the U. S. S. Wisconsin. They were married at St. Leo’s Church in Ashley, PA in January 1958.
They had a long and remarkably happy marriage, raising seven children, managing Fred’s carpentry business, and cheerfully weathering many obstacles together over the next 33 years.
After Fred’s untimely death in 1991, Mary earned an associate degree in business data pocessing technology from Luzerne County Community College and re-entered the workforce. She worked at Offset Paperback Manufacturing for many years and then joined the IT department of Western and Southern Life Insurance. She retired in 2008 and lived quietly for the rest of her life in Kingston, PA.
Mary will be profoundly missed by her surviving children: Fred Senese, of Frostburg, MD; Jeffrey Senese and his wife Alicia, of Philadelphia, PA; Glenn Senese and his wife Debbie, of Pittston, PA; Maryellen Takacs of Kingston, PA; Liza Roper and her husband Ben, of Kingston, PA; and Leah Warenda and her husband Frank of West Wyoming, PA.  She deeply missed her son Christopher, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Mary loved her grandchildren. She often invited them to sleepovers at her house, where she’d make funnel cakes and other treats with them. Her absence will be keenly felt by her surviving grandchildren, Ryan Senese, Brandon Senese, Shawn Senese, Chris Takacs, Dana Takacs, Michael Senese, Mia Senese, Kai Senese, Keiran Senese, Lauren Senese, Daniel Senese, Erin Senese, Rachel Senese, Frankie Warenda, Charlie Warenda and Joey Warenda.
Mary is survived by her dear sister Joan Gallagher, and her husband Martin, and their children Molly, Megan, Monica, and Martin Jr. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dalia, and her sons Lenny and Albert, and the children of her late brother Daniel: Marilyn, Laura, Joanne, Daniel Joe, and Paul.. She was preceded in death by her sister Ellen and her brother Arthur.

Mary’s funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10:15 AM on July 15 at St. Ignatius Church in Kingston, PA, the church she attended for the last 40 years. The mass will be followed by a procession to the gravesite at St. Ignatius Cemetery.

Mary never did anything that she didn’t want to do. Her honesty and her deeply rooted sense of right and wrong were legendary. If she had a problem with you, she would let you know about it. In the twilight of her life, when grieving the passing of friends and family, Mary would sometimes say, “Well. They had a life.”  She said this quietly and matter-of-factly, not as a dismissal but as an admiration of a life well-lived, a life beloved.
Mary had a life. And Mary was beloved.
