#is eleazar like.. at all related to the cataclysm that turned people into hilichurls? #because all we know is Stuff Happened and khaenria people turned into churls #but the black scaled skin and all that jazz #are they at all related to one another medically #the ruin golem quest has made me go YO THESE HILICHURLS DOWN HERE WERE THE SOLDERS INSIDE #never got to escape? #it's just theorising but whew #the music #the vibes #the fact I'm inside a giant ruin guard that was supposedly run by a whole platoon... #and yes it was a long time ago to push back against the abyss #but were they perhaps too close?? #the one paper where they talked about the city way underground and said they saw their family there #they legit said We Will Be Reunited which is literally a past archon quest title #the way they said the sickness made them look horrific/mangled and the others couldn't look at them #and we know hilichurls wear masks to hide the faces that represent their humanity #but could it be they wear them to hide the horrors #who knows #genshin impact #ruin golem #I'm just in awe because this was such a short quest but the worldbuilding in it is INSANE #i went to go look at one of the dead churls in the canyon and uh #they've also got bandages all up the arms - I know they do because I play this game but now I'm seeing connections between #churls and eleazar I am simply Thinking #is this why dottore is interested in the sickness or does he not know #have we found the same hypothesis #whew #i can't wait for part 2 and 3 of this quest hot dang
