Sorry if this is a strange question but could you please talk about your Chara headcanons I love them and learning of other people's interpretations

oh this isn't strange at all!! Id love to I just need to remember everything ive ever thought....

here we go: (got kinda long oops)

they like to make poetry but generally keep it private

they also are trying to learn embroidery but they dont have the steadiest hands so its a bit difficult!

while they obviously have a fondness for specifically goats because yknow, they LOOOOOVE frogs and toads!

they let frisk paint their nails even if they aren't that into it

love earthy tones when it comes to clothing

always ready to roughhouse!!!!

this was inspired by a mutual but its also me projecting a bit, they do online school

start taller then frisk as kids/tweens but then becomes the shorter one (rip)

likes to chew on the chain of their locket

likes stuffed animals but doesn't have any themself because they try to keep their belongings practical and stuff

likes instrumental music

likes calm or nature-y games like animal crossing, harvest moon, pikmin, etc.

speaks pretty quietly/low a lot of the time unless they are feeling jazzed up or rowdy abt smth, then they have trouble controlling their volume

loves decorative knives! their main knife though has cute little charms on it that they like :-) they like to whittle sticks for no reason and eventually tries to get into wood carving as a result

I think this is canon but likes to knit! they join Toriel a lot to do so

has trouble sleeping so they hang out with Toriel a lot at night

likes bug hunting (Toriels influence)

likes to walk in the woods and sends frisk and co. random pictures of mushrooms and things they see

kinda fucked up about the fact that they have no greater purpose, badly wanted to be the angel to save monsters and finally be good/worth something

all about consequences. in a more canon adjacent au where they are alive with flowey instead of asriel, they fairly quickly learn to accept their brother is different now and that this is the consequence of their plan, but know he is still their brother and loves him. greatly regrets that they took so much from him and will do anything to make it up to him, though Flowey more wants to pick up right where they left off and pretend nothin is different

likes bracelets, and tries to typically wear the friendship bracelets Frisk makes

very interested in Alphys’ work! “woah u can make ROBOTS??? just like that????”

habitually smiles when stressed or freaked out, they dont mean anything bad by it tho

(also me projecting) VERY PICKY EATER but loves Toriels baked goods!

favorite season is fall/autumn

likes dogs but prefers cats to some degree because they aren't so high energy

(more projection) very low energy person but tries to keep up with all these high energy friends like undyne and papyrus!

23 : What’s more important: characters or plot?

i,,, have n o idea what the answer to this is for me. i almost always come up with an au idea while im listening to music. ive had some wild ass moments when i either find a new song or when im re-listening to a song with careful ears. so my first impression of aus already kind of sets a character in a plot. they come together for me, i guess?? i build them together,, so i think theyre both important... but i will say i always end up creating character backstories before really developing a plot. i always end up with super in depth characters and like no substantial plot lmao

25 : What authors and books have inspired you to write your work?

mmm id say, even though shes kind of a crackhead these days, i grew up with JK Rowling. she was the first author i ever read i think. my cousin started reading harry potter to me when i was in pre-school and could barely even read. so id say shes always been a role model in terms of writing style and the depth of her universe. i wrote my college application essay about harry potter!! and i guess it’s kind of obvious based on my continuous return to harry potter aus lmao

27 : What is the best writing advice?

write,, what you want to write? i feel like that sounds dumb. but i started this blog [over a year ago??? ew] and tried to model it after really big one shot / scenario / single text blogs. and i really enjoyed it at the time bc it didnt tie me to a plot or make me commit to something, especially bc i wasnt sure what i was doing tbh. and i took requests and i tried my best, and i still have a pile of requests sitting in my ask box after like 8 months that i think are really interesting and i have ideas for them,, but i havent been able to get to them yet because my brain always pulls me into a new idea or a new thought and i cant focus on anything else when that happens [i will be getting to those requests btw im just a piece of shit]. but thats why i cant really take requests anymore - im trying to write what inspires me or what im motivated by while the motivation is still t h e r e. thats why i dont have a schedule and i cant trust myself to stick to one story at a time. anyway what i meant from all that is that you should trust yourself and, even if it distracts you from like ten other responsibilities or if people are asking you to do smth else, just keep doing what you wanna do. bc its your writing and its the only way to make sure you dont get tired of it and that you keep having fun.

stupid sexy iwamine…. really tho thats the crux of its. hes hot to trot. and a megane. and scientists get extra hot points im just gonna say it. and hes gay. god made him for me. if iwamine shuu didnt exist i would have to invent him. i need him

oh boy. i like shipping and i like him so ofc,

well i already talked abt my fondness for shuuya, so theres that

gotta have that papaiwa, of COURSE im too much of a softie to not have a scenario in which his crush is requited

with hitori? oh boy thats good. nanaiwa is good but not my ideal iteration of the ship. but idk smth abt him w hitori… theyre almost the same age, both are scalding hot, hitori is a character that i think would be capable of standing up to his regular shuu bs. its good! its always good whenever i see it and i want more!

you know what else is good? shuukazu! with kazuaki-kun! i can mainly thank selina for turning me on to it, it seems cracky at first but ive gotten to the point where im actually invested. its cute, what can i say? something about the coldest, meanest character having a soft spot for the frailest, squishiest character is just too delicious to pass up. and of course i have to mention that staff trio? ot3 to end all ot3s

im also gonna mention tohri (i like to call it nishuukikouji) its not one of my TOP ships and i dont think abt it too often but whenever i do see it im like yeah! hell yeah! and id def rp it given the opportunity

i said this when i talked abt nageki but i feel like they could find some common ground in the right circumstances! shuu can be a good Fun Uncle that lets him get away with way more than hitori does lmao. really tho i would be happy to see him getting along w… anyone……. at all…………………………………

My unpopular opinion about this character

is genuinely wanting him to be happy unpopular? probably. ppl will say he doesnt deserve it but look… thats not the point……. the point is just that i need more positivity in hato dkjfhgkdhfj. also literally his entire life is just so sad its so pathetic and hard to watch i just need him to have like one good day at least ok. do it for me

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

well if ryuuji could not die that would be fucking SPECTACULAR. at the very least try to do as little murder as possible ok dear. make some friends or smth. please.

How I feel about this character

oh boy we could be here all day. so obv i loved shuu from like. day one. heres the thing tho… im a big ol softie who wants everyone to get along and be happy. i mean ok yes i also love angst… a lot…. but when the canon situation is already sad af i gotta Do Smth abt it. bc really everything abt shuu is so depressing already it doesnt need to be any worse please

so yes iwameanie in everyone lives aus and redemption arcs and all thats GREAT. like it, love it, gotta have it. but i also had another idea, which is just: what if he was? nice?

(i was mainly inspired by a sketch moa drew of a disturbed yuuya contemplating the idea of a nice shuu. also there was very briefly an ask blog abt a nice shuu which i thought was adorable but sadly idr the url! if its even still up!)

another big advantage is that since iwasweetie is so diff from iwameanie in so many ways, i have a lot of wiggle room. hes so vaguely defined in canon, which means i have a lot of opportunity to kinda do w/e i want which is really fun! theres enough already there to guide me and him having pre-established relationships is also helpful ofc but it also feels v liberated.

also since his life Is better, i dont have to feel so guilty abt putting him thru angst! woohoo

so honestly after all this time i just. love him. how could i not? obv bc ive rped him for so long but also bc hes just more. well hes actually lovable. bc he doesnt kill kids. thats nice. also hes just way more down to earth and easier to relate to so thats a big advantage too! basically i just. adore him and i want him to be happy (most of the time)

everyone i said for iwameanie! its already blog canon (or “kawaiicanon” as i say) that hes crushing hardcore on hitori. that doesnt mean its blog canon that it actually happens, or that it doesnt. its left open to possibilities. he just has that Crush, thats for sure

also, him with kazu would just be. unbelievably sweet. you already talked abt it and tbh i agree w it all. it would be so good for them to have each other and it would probably be nice for shuu to have someone to dote on, maybe hed take better care of himself if he had someone else to take care of too

ok i already said nageki but im gonna reiterate it here bc their relationship is SO important!! i love them!! theyre a little ragtag family of misfits but their love is the purest the earth has ever seen and thats a cold hard FACT

OH YOU KNOW WHO ELSE? SAKUYA. sakuya obv has a dumb gay crush on shuu already, maybe it would be helpful for him to have a role model he looks up to thats actually. kind of a good influence??? honestly m le bel needs to just Die and then shuu can adopt him, problem solved
