I have a faceclaim for Jean-Christophe Raset, the hero of my French Rev historical novel WIP, The Captive Heiress. Martin Potter, who is shown here in Cruel Passion (aka the Marquis de Sade’s Justine), which is an odd movie to say the least. It’s a weird mash-up between low-key feminist gothic and nihilistic 1970s exploitation, starring Koo Stark. It’s the first feature-length film Roger Deakins, living god, was DP on, so it’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of his work.
Anyway, look at him! He’s so gorgeous... <3

More Martin Potter screencaps from Cruel Passion (1977)! (Part One is found here.) My faceclaim for Jean-Christophe Raset, the revolutionary hero in my Captive Heiress trilogy. The DP on this film was Roger Deakins.

My latest sketch of Xandrine and Jean-Christophe, the main characters from The Captive Heiress, my epic French Rev WIP I’ve been working on for the past few years. He’s a revolutionary, she’s an aristocrat, they fall in love, plus politics and lots of action! (There’s also a paranormal subplot, but I don’t want to say too much about that yet.)
(This WIP actually has a completed draft! There’s just a lot... A LOT... of editing I have to do. Whew.)
