Comedy Podcast Recommendations:

Over the years I have been slowly drifting from the horror, true crime, and supernatural podcasts over to the softer and usually way more fun COMEDY podcasts out there. I see a lotta folks talking about MBMBAM all the time, so I already know I don’t need to recommend that one. So, here’s some very, very funny podcasts: 

1. My Dad Wrote a Porno: To put it simply, this is a podcast about a dude trying to cope with the fact that his father has proudly self published an erotic novella, and to do that, he and his two friends gather together weekly to read his father’s work, chapter by chapter to us. Thing is, the author seems to know next to nothing about sex, and even less about women. 

2. Goosebuds: I. Adore. This. Show. Three grown ass men read the 90s Children's book series “Goosebumps,” and it’s just a fantastic show to zone out to. The fellas have great comedic timing, and their improv is outstanding, I bust a dang gut every time I get to hear a new episode! 

3. Hello From the Magic Tavern: Arnie has fallen into a fantasy world behind a Burger King, but that’s okay because he brought his podcasting equipment with him. Follow Arnie as he interviews all sorts of goofs and goons in this new world, and hey, it’s filled with amazing guests and the show only has like one or two scripted things ever so just know that’s all off those dude’s dome pieces. It’s amazing.  3.1.: Offices & Bosses: a spinoff of Hello From the Magic Tavern where the main cast get together to roleplay “Offices & Bosses” the D&D equivalent in that magical realm.  

4. Page 7: I was going to recommend Last Podcast on the Left because while it is funny, I kinda find that the subject matter usually puts me in a really bad place even when I’m laughing. SO, instead of Last Podcast itself, I will pick a show from the same network in Page 7, a celebrity gossip podcast that is so damn funny it actually has me coming back for more celebrity gossip. It. Will. Make. You. Uncomfortable, though. Jackie and Molly are very, very horny and while that is usually super funny, it GOES places. Oh, and if you already are a Last Pod fan, Marcus Parks is the third host and he’s as delightful as ever. 

5. The Thrilling Adventure Hour: I have no doubts you’ve at least heard this one’s name! The Thrilling Adventure Hour is a variety show of mini-podcasts within a podcast, such as excellent shows like Sparks Nevada: Marshal on Mars, and Beyond Belief, and god damn do I love them all. This one’s pretty much over too, they are releasing some shows here and there, but it’s mostly done. So, you can listen to all this has to offer pretty quick now that it ain’t pumping out new content. It’s a great time!
