I don't understand people who give Varian moonstone powers.

Cassandra grabbing the Moonstone, is an integral part of her character development. It is the point where she decides she won't be waiting in the wings anymore, but persue her own destiny.

Besides that the Moonstone and Cassandra so share some character traits especially in contrast with Rapunzel/ the Sundrop.

But people choose to ignore all that, because "if not moon powers, why Varian blue hairstripe?".
