I don't know if I missed something, but Macaque is literally in Wukong's home. The home that protected against unwanted guests.

So either, they have become on good terms again (doubt the creators would do that off screen) or Macaque was never banned from Wukongs home and I just ;;;

I'm devastated over them and what little crumbs we got of shadowpeach.

Also they monkeys on flower fruit mountains definitely missed Macaque and that just :(((

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie Spoilers////

Having Coryo leave during Lucy Grey's song for him and her watching him walk away; the depth of it. I might be looking too far into it, but Coryo would have never been satisfied just staying in his lane. He had to snoop and made everything so much more messy then it needed to be.

It's a great character study. Coryo could never be satisfied with a simple life with Lucy Grey. He wanted more and he always would. It's foresight into his future actions.

I know in the book he stayed for the whole thing and I think cried because he felt SM love for her. But I think changing it to how the movie does it was a great decision.

C!Drunz would go to war for each other. But they'd also sit back and watch each other burn. Like these guys are wild and I'm so infatuated with their dynamic.

They got to be hanging out every hour of the day. Like they keep up the little song and dance of Dream paying Punz a pretty penny but even if he stopped paying, Punz would definitely stick around. He's invested to much into this.

And not even that, no matter how they claim to not have attachments, everyone has attachments and they are that for each other. They just don't show it outwardly cause thats dangerous.

Mmmmm so much to think about.

Also!!! That ending in the prison with Tommy and Dream-

In no way does Dream taking off his mask and asking if it's too late, him showing some humanity, ever an excuse to the horrendous steps he took for his grasp for what he had in the beginning.

His actions for his twisted sense of righteousness and his desperate want for everyone to be together- yeah unredeemable. He dug himself a pit, and he kept digging.

That was not a redemption, that was not Tommy forgiving him for the hell Dream put him through. Tommy didn't forgive Dream by asking him to reconsider. It's as if they reached this understanding finally. The mortar and the minotaur. On the same level, eye to eye for the first time.

That ending was not a redemption of Dreams character in the last few seconds.

It's the glimpse at the corrupted monster showing a glimpse of what could have been.

How symbolic that he took off his mask, how he showed a bit of humanity before it all went to void.

These characters are so deeply layered, to look at it so one dimensionally and hate the ending cause you believe it was trying to make Dream a person to forgive- I cannot fathom it.

"it just got so complicated" paraphrasing by my god what a line. To see the villain as who he once was. To see how far from grace he has fallen AND from his own hubris too.

I've always been fascinated by Dreams character but from a far.

The hero turned into the villain, what a complicated role in the story he has weaved. The master puppet fallen to his own strings, wrapped in a web of his own making.

I've lost the original point, but that ending did not make him redeemable.

Dsmp finale spoilers

Maybe it's the nostalgia of it all but I dont mind the ending.

There was no way for them to give us the satisfactory ending we all would have liked. There were too many loose ends, things that were left to collect dust.

In the end, this is the bitter ending we get. It's complicated, layered as a lot of things are in the dsmp.

It got complicated, too complicated to sort out with simple do overs and apologies. Even if Tommy and Dream wanted to start over, there's the trauma that they've left inflicted on each other. On Tommy more so.

To have that hope, but know ultimately that there's been too much. Every member has been through too much, the bitterness, the trauma. To start over, the lines on where to start would have been blurry at best and to transfer the heavy topics and walk that delicate line is not something I can see them being able to do.

The nuke, however rushed and disappointing you may claim it to be, is the only way for a true fresh start. The characters of dsmp, to give them this peace where they ultimately don't remember their pasts and hurts. This start again, fresh and new. I don't know how to describe it.

It makes me want to cry. It's so bittersweet. All that was given in these two years. This new start doesn't erase everything, doesn't make everything not important. It mattered. It all mattered.

But isn't it nice to start again with a fresh slate. It see it from new eyes. I think it's so lovely. That we can see it again. Like the universe gave them a chance to start again. Like it saw their hurt and instead of limbo it's reincarnation they got.

I can't wait to see what happens next. It may not be the ending we were expecting and it may not be satisfactory. But I know I'll be sticking around to see what these dumb idiots get up to.

I think they deserve this peace.
